I love smoked bologna, i have used a piece of pipe to core out a couple hollow parts. Then stuff with roasted garlic and used part of the cored out meat to make plugs to seal up the holes. Adds a whole other dimension to the smoked bologna.
I lived in Arkansas when I was a kid and learned to love fried bologna sandwiches because all my friends had was miracle whip and can't stand the stuff, but they always had bologna and ketchup. I just got my traeger 2 weeks ago and have been watching every recipe you have and have always ordered 6 of your seasonings. Next time I go shopping I am getting a bologna chub . Mmmmmm can't wait
I never had that up here in the northeast we just fried it in a pan as a slice. Definitely going to try that! My son loves fried baloney sandwiches. Your videos are awesome great job!!
Don’t know if anyone has said it, but Fried bologna, fried egg and cheese with mayo or miracle whip is a game changer! That’s the way my grandma used to make it :)
Your reference to Cedar Creek reminds me of an extremely cold creek in Tennessee that fed into Norris Lake. I also remember the bread my Mammaw bought was round that she made the fried bologna sandwiches on. Great video. I bought a chub yesterday and I'm about to put it on my Treager.
You did a great job it looks beautiful me personally with a Smoked or fried fried bologna sandwich I like mine with a fried egg and some caramelized onions on it with some mayonnaise pickles and tomatoes
He sure it right about bringing back great child hood memories. We used to fry bologna up in a pan for breakfast. Amazing how good it is with some maple syrup and blueberry pancakes!
I like to smoke those cheap bolognas too. Either Bar S or Sugardale brand. Except the place I normally get them recently raised the price. They used to be $5.99. But now my six dollar chub of bologna is now seven and a half bucks.
I strongly recommend you season it with coarse black pepper and your Voodoo. I did that a couple weekends ago with all beef bologna. Something about the jalapeno and the Voodoo rub that really works well with beef bologna. I added the course black pepper just to give it a little more bite. But it was phenomenal.
Swap out the Mayo for tomato sauce and yes, we enjoyed it as youngsters during the 60/70’s here in New Zealand 🇳🇿. Thanks for the reminder, I’ll be making that brother. Thank you.
Daaayyyaamm...You remind me of Kurt Busch nascar driver of #1 car. I love the names for the chub. Gonna try this if I can find a chub like that for anywhere near 6 bucks.
$6? So this is the leftover parts of leftover parts?? Thanks Matt!! Just ordered my first order of rubs for my chub on a friend's recommendation. Looking forward to that February grill up here in Michigan!!!
Mr. Pittman, hello. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy your straight forward and simplistic tasty approach. I however, do have a question. Where can I get one of those big a$$ spatulas?? I want one for brisket and butts, but also want a quality utensil.

Smoked balogna sliced really thin on a slicer and then piled high on a sandwich is ridiculously good. Works well with good brisket as well.
