Hi ! Yes very much. I am from Eastern Uttar Pradesh in India. I am 57 years old. In my childhood, while in the village of that time, I still remember these songs, which are basically Gali (ie sweet melodious curse words) having sexual overtone, used to be sung at the time of weddings, by womenfolk. These songs are sung in order to promote relationship with the family being engaged by echoing their suppressed reluctance and feelings that were elated to giving away of bride to groom. These Gali songs, as a ritual, were aimed at everyone from the Bridegroom side including The Pandit (ie the priests who performed the wedding ceremony).
India has changed a lot and hence things have changed nowadays. No Gali song is sung in a wedding ceremony even for customary purposes. People have no time for such things.
