I am so incredibly proud of my uncle Shawn, my cousin Stephanie, and whole family for having the best rock shop in the country!!! Many good memories running around the shop and yard, and so many cool pieces that I've acquired over 25 years! My first paid job was over a spring break ages ago, weighing and sealing bags of grit in the secret basement, glad to see the same heat sealer is there! Thank you Rob for stopping by!
What an incredibly neat family business! My family was kind of into rocks as my grandma owned a Native American Trading Post so I grew up picking things off the floor and helping her as I learned so many great skills. She was a geologist and I went on to become a gemologist. We need to protect these mom and pop stores in America as they ARE the very fiber of America! Best wishes to this awesome rock shop and their family for years to come! ❤
Wow! I’m star struck!! I’ve been ordering from The Rock Shed and Shawn for years. I am so excited to see the shop and put a name with the face. Thanks so much for sharing! That was awesome!
Thanks for the tour, Rob. I was stunned by that gorgeous Rose Quartz (not just the large specimen, but the whole pile of smaller ones). Appreciated that you stepped in and gave us a sweeping tour of the spheres (love them). Great cutting. Though I may not get there in person, I will spend some time browsing the website again. Fun visit, Rob and Jason.
