Very interesting to see this. I have travelled economy with Ethiopian and not loved it (terrible food). Business class looks better than I expected. I am trying Emirates business for my next long flight but may give Ethiopian a try another time. Loved the coffee stall at Addis!
i love the color coordination Ethiopian does so that everything resembles the colors of the Ethiopian flag whether it be the blankets, amenity kit or the pillows. better than your generic gray or black.

I don't think your reports are too detailed at all! I like feeling that I'm traveling beside you, and seeing everything about the seat, plane, and events.
Their business class is very similar to Turkish Airlines business class. The seats look very alike, they both give out complementary drinks, they both serve a good choice of hot meals.

Just like you I enjoy every single time the startup of an B777 engine. As a bagagehandler at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport I hear it every day on the 3 daily Jet Airways flights. Absolutely amazing sound

Great trip report. I can see what you were saying about the South African airport not being very good. The Ethiopian airport was better with a nice Ethiopian lounge. I was blown away with the amount of food and drinks they had. Pretty good food in the plane as well. The IFE was pretty good as well. By the way. The Ethiopian ladies are cute :-D. I haven't flown with Ethiopian airlines. Once I had flown with malaysia airline. It was my worst time they provide very greedy meal on business class. Without other services plus the staff of that airline. I wish u enjoy it. Thanks a lot for your report..
Great trip report! Enjoyed both of the flights. Also the lounge in their Addis Ababa seems amazing and probably the coffee there is local and great! What was more comfortable? The 787 or 777? Also what would be the overall rating of the company in Business class?
Looked like a very nice flight back .The Salmon looked ok, I always find Fish on an airplane very hard to do. I think I prefer your first meal over the sweet and sour fish you had on the second flight. Another excellent well documented trip.

Try out Sardine Airlines for best value:- First Class two to a seat for top quality comfort and cuddles, Second Class Exercycles only to get down to the business of providing auxiliary power for the aircraft and Third Class standing room only packed in tightly so no one falls down while sleeping.

The start up sound is sooo awesome... when i was in Reunion Island I lived near the Airport of St.Denis (FMEE) and every evening I could hear the 777s starting up even i lived 5km away of the airport. I enjoyed this sound and used it to fall asleep :D

Simply Aviation, one day fly to Kenya, as you might know I am South African, but have moved to Kenya. Or maybe fly to Italy (Rome) and take the train to Venice and then fly to France (Paris) and then back to Vienna A.K.A 'Your Home'
Felix, your reports are perfect! Not too detailed at all. If anything, I wish it could be even more detailed with the meal service like filming how the table was laid, and meals were served.

Just found this video in 2020!! Had to comment on the food. The first meal looked to die for!! I'm Canadian, and would have LOVED that salmon dinner!! The second meal didn't look bad either. I think I would have enjoyed it too! Most of the meals you chaps are served would not appeal to me! This was a nice exception!! I do enjoy your reports on the whole, though. Keep it up!!

I think that Cathy Pacific's (CX) lounge is one of the best lounge, they have Six lounges in HKG for business and first class.
