This honestly has been the most helpful color grade video on RUclips rn. It truly gave me a proper cinematic film grade on my videos. I even applied it to multiple clips with minor tweaks in contrast and my footage really stood out from other grades from RUclipsrs just giving you surface level info to sell their gad dayum LUTS. From the bottom of my art, Thank you🙏
Man, this means a lot to hear! I’m really happy that this helped you out a bunch. I was definitely tired, as well, of watching grading videos with people always plugging their personal LUTS
Man this has to be one of the most in depth Color Grading tutorials I’ve seen on here. Don’t ever stop doing this high quality work. You deserve a lot of recognition. I’ll be coming back to your videos to learn how to color grade!
Hey man I just came across this video and loved every second of it. The thing I never understand is CST. I'm using a samsung s24ultra and do I need a CST node? Can you help me on this please?
Good stuff man great tutorial I’ll definitely be trying this soon. I’m not sure if I missed something though- how are you able to apply the same “base” to the entire timeline. Do you just copy and paste the whole node tree to all clips?
Thanks man! At 0:38, in the top right hand corner, I click from the 'Clip' section to the 'Timeline' section. Whatever base grade you apply in the 'Timeline' section will then affect all your clips. Hopefully that helps
Good Stuff! this is so helpful and learned something new about color grading and D.R.! Btw, whats your color management settings? Thanks man! - Subscribed!
Appreciate it, man! Glad you enjoyed it. I'm pretty sure I had them set to DaVinci YRGB for Color Science, Rec.709-A for Timeline Color Space, and DaVinci WG/Intermediate for Output Color Space
Thanks! I don’t have a video about that, but you can always try using a Tiffen Black Satin filter for on your lens. It does a great job of smoothing out skin and making it look more cinematic
The Timeline node adjustments are going to affect all the clips in your timeline, whereas the Clip node adjustments will only affect that individual clip.

I think going from "in" to "out" is better than going from "out" to "in" ( talking about the nodes )
Got a sub from me, man. Great stuff. Would LOVE to see a bleach bypass / Se7en esque moody grade tut if you need some video inspo!
Thanks, Quinton! Nice suggestion! I can definitely work on creating a tutorial for achieving a bleach bypass look! Might take a week or two

@@BenjaminFarris Yo! Thanks mate, gonna try this out. Cheers!
Great video! What screen recording software do you use to have the keyboard buttons pop up on screen like that as you press them?
Thanks, man! I honestly have no idea. I’m just using the Mac screen recording feature. If you figure it out,let me know
Great video do you have any videos on how to get smooth skin that looks cinematic?
Thanks! I don’t have a video about that, but you can always try using a Tiffen Black Satin filter for on your lens. It does a great job of smoothing out skin and making it look more cinematic
@@BenjaminFarris thanks man keep up the great work
What a different between clip node ngn timeline node ? Can u explain to me ?
The Timeline node adjustments are going to affect all the clips in your timeline, whereas the Clip node adjustments will only affect that individual clip.
i want to change from premier to davinci for color grade but i dont know how to start, any advice ?
I personally would recommend watching a bunch of RUclips videos to help you understand the basics, and just practice a bunch. That’s what I did.
