    In case no one has mentioned it, you can lock down the pan feature on the magpul bipod. You can find directions on the internet and probably here on RUclips. It’s easy to do.

    I like the video, everyone has a use case when they consider their particular capabilities they want to lend their selves when they choose a weapon configuration. I also can appreciate your forward thinking when you set this rifle up. I clicked the video to see what that cheek riser was, I need a little more info if you have the time. First I would like to know of the dexterity of that riser, have you had problems with shift or loosing, has it fallen off? Next the install, how does it fixate? Lastly what optic height are you running on that LPVO mount, and is that height that it sits at in good relation with your cheek weld with that riser, I Wana take a stab at it and say it sits lower 1/3 but please tell me for sure. Ok now lastly for real this time, do you think that cheek riser would be optimal for a 2.26 ride height mount? I just don't like some of the options on the market for cheek risers I want a full stock cheek riser, I don't like the designs where it's just a small section raised I feel like it creates unnecessary snags and gives more of a neck weld than a cheek weld, but I like that one you have and I hope you can find the time to answer those questions.

    • @MattTacticalFitness
      @MattTacticalFitness  Месяц назад +1

      Thank man for the positive comment! The cheek riser is a Magpul 0.50" they have about three different heights. I would try them to see which works best for you and your body. What I have might not work the same for you so testing them out wouldn't be a bad idea. Haven't had any issues with it coming off or shifting on me. The Magpul CTR buttstock has some indentions on either side that allow the riser to fit nice and snug. They're both from the same company.

    • @austinplatt8011
      @austinplatt8011 Месяц назад +1

      @@MattTacticalFitness solid thanks brother, I was unaware they offered different heights. About how much did you trim in order to not run into the charging handle problem?

    • @MattTacticalFitness
      @MattTacticalFitness  Месяц назад +1

      @@austinplatt8011 I don’t know the exact measurement but I would place it on the stock and cut little by little. Pull the charging handle back to make sure it clears. That should be your main concern as far as cutting the riser where you need to

    Very nice build with well thought-out, quality parts. Anyone would be lucky to have a setup like this. I gotta be honest though, fam. This is NOT a do it all rifle. It's an SPR. Imagine having to clear trenches with this hoss! Lose the bipod, foregrip, and all those stock gizmos and this will be a lot closer to "Do It All". The lighter the rifle, the longer you can fight.

    • @matthewriegner5180
      @matthewriegner5180 Месяц назад +3

      I disagree and agree. All the parts make this a very diverse build. However I agree some of it is gear creep potentially. All the parts are good quality parts and brands, just some not necessary really.
      I had to strip parts off my rifles after getting out and shooting at a little distance cause I realized it was purely my inexperience shooting.

    • @matthewriegner5180
      @matthewriegner5180 Месяц назад +1

      Let me clarify also, it's not that the parts don't have a place, but depending on the role, and easier option instead of removing gear might be to get a second stock to swap the bag rider one out until maybe doing more a prs style match. The bipod, get like an adm qd w/Harris type thing or one of the magpul sling ones so it can be taken off until needed.
      Overall, it's a beautiful build and if it works for you then that's amazing.
