    6.25 from trans is a little low, you should get 7-7.5. There is a fluid check/fill bolt on the wheel side you can take out while filling from top, i filled the top section with 6 liters, then finish the filling with the 7th liter of fluid from that side bolt to monitor when it comes out, then just finish that procedure just like the transfer case, multiple tines pumping. Just fyi for next time

    thanks for the video. it was super helpful when I did the transmission, transfer case, and rear differential for my 09 Ralliart. the original transmission died when I hit 150k miles and I only had it done once at the dealership at 80k miles. with the second transmission that I bought used, it ran rough and three fluid change cleared everything right up which I thought was crazy. unfortunately I couldn't find castrol transmax dual and had to order the diaqueen from maperformance.

      @@Gilligan.Garage ,I only drained and refilled once with the diaqueen. My previous message, I didn't mean that i flushed the sst fluid 3 times. I meant that I changed the sst fluid, transfer case fluid, and rear differential. I also changed the external sst filter as shown in the video.

    • @tonypham890
      @tonypham890 2 года назад +2

      @@Gilligan.Garage , it was giving me really hard or weird studder/hesitation shifts between 2nd and 3rd and 3rd and 4th when I would press the accelerator. And going uphill, it would struggle up shifting and made this weird noise like it was trying to let out air or something. But after changing all the fluids, everything worked fine and haven't had those issues since. And it's been about 6 or 7 weeks now. I will say when changing out the external sst filter, mine was full of gunk so I don't think the used transmission I got ever got serviced, or if it had, they did not use oem fluids and that may have caused the issue I had. But like I said before, after changing out everything, I haven't seen an issue since and hope I can keep this going awhile longer.

    I had my SST for my evo fully built by kozmic and they are pretty adament about using only mitsu OEM fluids for the entire drivetrain and have seen bad crap happen over time with other fluids in the drivetrain. I would advise that for anyone doing the maintenance to lower any chances of complications especially anyone who has a warranty it most likelt gets voided if oem fluids arent used. Just my two cents, even tho expensive you can stock up over time from ebay or MAperformance. Great work and video though!

      Teach in isn't mandatory. Unless you changed something with your sst. It's just recommended. I didn't get a teach in with my first change

    What other brand would you recommend if I can't get the oem sae 90 for the t case n diff?
    Also does the diff n t case use the same oil?

      Same oil. And I read any gear oil would work. But honestly you should stick with OEM

    I just had my SST oil change by Mitsubishi in Japan. I had unsmooth acceleration issue. Now, it's solved. Although, they re programmed the SST after the oil change. I'm wondering what was that actually. Do you guys know something about it?

      It's a teach in process. Helps clean up shift points which sounds like it did wonders for you

      @@TheSnyds I see! My car is running 60K km. I'm not sure what to do with The Rear Differential, Transfer Case oil change. No idea weather previous owner did it or not. Do you think is there any way to realize the current oil condition for The Rear Differential, Transfer Case?

    • @TheSnyds
      @TheSnyds  3 года назад +1

      If you don't know just swap it. It's not expensive and easy to do. Now a new tcase or rear diff would be the expensive route
