I have owned several Porsches and still have one in addition to my McLaren. You are comparing two drastically difference cars. IMO, the McLarens are much more ballistic on the road.

It is super pricey (and im not sure if it's entirely justified or just blown out of the water because Mclaren knows their customers will pay for it) but the whole idea is that Mclaren Special Operations will do essentially whatever you want them to do to your car so long as you pay for the R&D, not just the materials etc. So I'm assuming for the less than 20 675lt's with the roof scoop, the owners paid the 40k as partial R&D funding
@@JoshuaDarakdjian That roof scoop will payoff huge years from now on the collectible market, same way how a LaFerrari Aperta is worth like double what a regular LaFerrari is, that $40,000 will seem like chump change down the road.

@@pavonotaturkey5834 McLarens are not usually known to increase in value, in fact most of them depreciate quite a lot. Perhaps this one will be different because of its limited production run.
I noticed two small things you got wrong in this video.
1. You can actually activate the wing to go in its upwards position while stationary, however, in order to retract itself you have to be driving for at least 9mph.
2. The engine cover is fully accessible and can be opened by the customer, I don't know where did you get the information that only a McLaren specialist can open it. In order to open it, a special tool (screwdriver like) is required which is located in the frunk and there are no gas struts holding it up instead you have to secure it with a carbon fiber "stick" for lack of a better word. This was done due to weight saving reasons.

Doug, you missed a view quirks and features:
1. None of the digital gauges or infotainment screen can be seen with polarized glasses.
2. The spring in the stalk for the brights is insanely ..... springy... if you pull it to flash brights, it releases back beyond the neutral setting and you incidentally drive with brights on.
3. Love the carbon roof scoop. Any phone you’re using as navigation won’t as it firmly blocks all gps signal!
Also, that center console armrest does open, but they are easy to jam. I bet the unique 675LT decklid “key” is stored within. This key is spring loaded and opens the engine bay.
Lastly, if you drive in active with gearbox in sport, excess fuel is dumped to the exhaust on gear changes for insane pops and bangs not heard in any other mode.
Just a few quirks and features that to me, truly identify the 675LT from other Mclaren models.
Get round lens polarized glasses, remove the lenses and look at the screens and turn them until you can see the screens and put them back in the frame in that orinetation. You should be able to see it that way. It will be dimmed but you should be able to.

Yes except that Doug doesn't know the 675lt that well ... you can actually open the engine bay yourself with the tool provided with the car and it's very easy. You can also open the center arm rest for a little bit of storage.

LittleBigParardise, yeah that could be it. Maybe these particular seats did not have the normal cushioning or something because I have never had problem with the Pole Position seat comfort-even on bumpy roads. He is also a lot taller than me too, so maybe he just didn’t fit the seat well.

Actually u can open the engine bay there is a tool in the tool kit and u just have to stick it in the both sides of the panel and it opens.....and I guess that there is also a support thingy to hold the cover while it’s up 🙂

I recall Jay Leno commenting that the spoiler on his McLaren ( not nearly as complicated ) costs $40,000. There are so many places that I go to regularly that I would never dream of driving this car to. By the way, zero to 60 on the Z51 package corvette is exactly the same, 2.9 seconds, the front end pops up in about 2 seconds - push a button and the GPS will remember to lift the front automatically, the engine can be seen through the glass panel and you can order an LED light kit to illuminate your beautiful engine, the engine cover opens and you can change the oil for $50 - including a quality synthetic. See what an oil change on this car costs! I guess I just like AMERICAN cars and trucks - have a new corvette and am taking delivery on a 2021 Escalade ESV soon.

What's funny however is that they copied it directly from Ferrari, who does the same thing with the 430,458,488 and F8.

Space wise: In the 675lt the arm rest DOES open up and there is amble space behind the seats to place a jacket, purse etc. Number 2: the polycarbonate window that displays the motor can be open by the owner! The key to open the back window comes with the car.
