But nah seriously, Am i the only one who is happy to hear they put a V6 in this instead of the V8? I never really liked the Sound of any McLaren V8.
V6s can sound much better than V8s if the Manufacturers do it right.
Best Example is the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, that Car is a V6 and sounds much better than any V8 in my Opinion.

Should be simple like that, right? If battery is 1%, roll down the window a little. But, in other hand, you would just need a dead battery to open the door of a locked car. I have had my Artura since mid Feb and I can tell you that Doug is right on the mark.....its a stunning car! It's my first McLaren after owning 4 911's. I can tell you that it's on another stratosphere obviously given the price point. It's easy to drive in traffic to downtown Toronto, easy to push it on B roads, and easy to sneak out quietly without waking the neighbours. It's perfect for my needs.
Anyone thinks this is not loud should come for a ride with me. In track mode when you gun it, around 6k rpm it screams. Maybe it's the Sports Exhaust but its definitely not quiet.
When accelerating, you better hang on and pay attention to what's on the horizon because in a split second you pass it.
I am still getting used to it. I cant wait till the summer tires are put on. I can't imagine the acceleration and handling with that chang given what it does with winters on.
    Excellent review Doug!

I am not an engineer, and I don’t really understand the technical aspects of this, but most of the high-performance car manufacturers are switching over to turbocharged V-6 engines for the sake of efficiency… Well, there have been quite a number of smaller displacement V-8 engines in the past, would a smaller displacement V-8 engine not be just as efficient as the equivalent size V6, both with turbo chargers? I would think that having more pistons for the same displacement would actually allow for higher output… But again, this is purely speculation on my part, so I don’t know. If anyone reads this is knowledgeable in this regard, and has an explanation, I would very much like to hear it! It’s some thing that I have wondered about persistently since the industry wide shift to V6 engines.
