Porsche Collector yeah of course, I have both the Speciale and the Speciale Aperta and they’re just wonderful cars. With McLaren you’re paying for the technology whereas with Ferrari you’re paying for the engine. So it’s all dependent on whether you want to feel like you’re driving a fighter jet (675LT) or you’re driving a car with real soul and heart (Speciale). Personally I’d go for the Speciale all day long as they’re only 0.1 second slower 0-62 and they have the pretty much the same top end speed however the engine is one of the best sounding V8’s since the Challenge Stradale and their prices will only keep on rising as it’s Ferrari’s last NA V8 engine. I like my Pista and I’m sure I’ll like my Pista Spider when that comes but if it’s sunny and I had the choice, I’d go for the older NA Speciale.

I have a 675LT and love it, it drives so well and sounds much better than you think it would for a turbo car, it’s close to a race car in its noise. Can’t quite match my GT8 for sound though 😜
2 AMAZING cars from McLaren but the original LIMITED SUPER series 675LT is so much better than the UNlimited SPORTS series 600LT. The banned F1 technology of active aero and hydraulic suspension makes all the difference IMHO. The 600LT looks aggressive but personally I dont find the overall styling cohesive and it looks a bit like its driven through a Halfords accessory stand whilst the 675LT just oozzes class and looks super sexy. The 675LT is a guaranteed future classic, think early low volume ferrari limited editions, in 10 years time. The 675LT spider is better than a 458 Speciale Aperta IMHO and yet half the price and has gone from £100k above list to £100k under nowadays - what an absolute bargain and these are already quickly disappearing off the market forever as those enthusiasts in the know and collectors sweep them up. Give me a 675LT spider in napier green please
@@brentpowell7889 I beg to differ and don't let facts get in the way of some good clickbait - The guy was talking 80ll0ck5 quite frankly. They produced a tonne of them hence why dealers still have stock cars. The REAL number was closer to 2000 worlwide so over 200 in the UK and at least TWICE as many as the 675LT.
@@brentpowell7889 Yeah 350 600LT's in total is quite feasible for RHD in UK but I thought it was more like 250 and even that's way too many. There are sub 100 RHD 675LT's in total in the UK so circa 50 coupes and 50 spiders - thats RARE.
Love the 600lt exhaust. That's half the experience....the addictive exhausts notes and crackle. I'm old school.. I like the analogue suspension instead of the magic carpet suspension of the 675lt and 720s.
I've heard many people say the geometry needs adjusting on the 600lt and that makes a big difference to turn in. I pressume mclaren went for a neutral toe to give it a more "stable" feeling aimed at more inexperienced drivers. Also a remap just transforms it into a beast
Yeah, it pops and bangs on both UPshifts and downshifts. Its like a shotgun going off. Spider with roof up but rear window down for maximum effect - AMAZING
When I was shopping for mine and I went with the 600 > 675. The rear exhaust is awesome and with a minor tune = faster than the stock 675. Can’t go wrong with either or though
From a Porsche GT2/3 fanatic. Honestly the 675LT is the only other car I just drool over, they look so imposing. I think it's the best looking McLaren of all of them bar the F1.
Great comparison. 675LT is no doubt a better long term investment prospect, but the 600LT Spider is just more engaging and fun. Pick up one of the deals and enrich your life by thoroughly enjoying the car on road and track for what it is, rather than worrying about preserving future value.
I admire your passion for the 675LT and agree that they could deliver a potential return, but only if you treat it as an investment. Personally, I struggle with this and only really derive enjoyment from driving my cars + for me there are more interesting, impactful and rewarding ways to put capital to work. Would be a dull world if we were all the same.
@@drcaw5422 I agree, cars are for driving and not investments, leave that to property and pension funds. A car that has regularly done a couple of thousand miles a year and serviced annually is better than a garage queen anyway especially Mclarens which definitely prefer to be used regularly. Challenge Stradales and 430 Scuderias with 30k miles on are still worth more than list so in 5 or 10 years time 20k on a 675LT is hardly going to effect its value
Thanks for making getting up on a rainy Saturday morning and not going to the gym worthwhile. Nice one lads. 😁 PS. Any chance of seeing some other content on the channel? I heard you mention once you had a two M140is on the fleet? Just a brief video into that would be a great thing. Thanks again lads. Keep the content coming please. 👍👍
@supercardrivers - having watched countless videos on both 675/600 LT’s it appears that the 600 exhaust doesn’t crack/pop on upshifts but just on downshifts while 675 seems to crack on both ....can you confirm this from your drives in both cars? Thanks
675 never dropped in value! It sat where it sold for very well still to this day. The guy is talking about the inflated price people were willing to pay to get one when new like the 992 gt3 rs, if someone wants one they have to pay 150k over mrsp for the privelage
I love the 675LT, it's stunning. I know you can't really compare the limited run 675LT to a 720S from a rarity/production POV, but when you consider the 720S runs rings around the 675LT performance wise, it's probably why the value nose dived; people put their money into the new car instead. The 720S resale value has also fallen off a cliff and you can pick one up for around £150k now, which is crazy money for a car that's 98% as quick as a P1. The problem is also, that the 675LT isn't a one off LT, there will be a "750LT" and in a few years an "800LT" until circa 2035 when ICE production dies.
True re 720S, but it’s so much more sterile than the 675 and yes other cars will wear the LT badge but they certainly won’t be limited run - whether or not that bothers people 🤷♂️
765LT reveals at Geneva and customers cars 2021 but its going to be a lot more expensive and not as limited as the original 675LT which was ONLY 500/500 worlwide. McLaren really went overboard launching the LT sub brand hence why the 675LT is a stand out car. Sequels are rarely as good and the last thing a 675LT needs is more power in reality. I hope they concentrate on the FUN factor and not just the numbers with the 765LT
Of course the 675 is gonna be the choice for most of us, we love these cars because we love speed and performance, so yea the 675 for me too. However the 600 def wins for more style, damn that car is fucken gorgeous!!
I just don't understand why McLaren aren't thought of as special they are levels above most Lambos and ferraris they just don't bring the drama they prefer numbers.
The 675LT is simply the P1 without all the hybrid stuff, and it was really made for the joy of driving. For me, the 675LT is the one supercar to have, along with the Ferrari 458 Speciale
I am just waiting for 750 LT or even 775 LT or (please santa, let it be 800 LT !). Given that 720s is only half a second slower around portimao track (portugal) than the P1, I can't imagine how awesome will the LT version of 720s will be!
For me the 600 wins because of the Top mounted exhaust! There are only a few other vehicles on the planet that you can get that on and one of them is the Bugatti Chiron and that’s $3 million dollars more if you can find one! Found a coupe in Orange with the roof scoop today 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I’m done!
@@scd Oh yeah baby! Just found out that Novia Tech makes the sickest exhaust for it too 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 that plus a tune bumps to about 658 WHP or so which is that nice sweet spot for a car that only weighs as much as a fleas fart 💨 with me in it! Heaven here I come! 😂😂😂😂
They both sound very similar but with a convertible and a top mounted exhaust I think that will skew your opinion when driving the 600LT like in the video
Way too many 600LT's built hence the stupid finance deals to try and off load them. When will McLaren learn ! They got it spot on with the 675LT. Built an incredible car to launch the LT sub brand, throwing everything at it and over engineering the product versus the price point and selling out in 2 weeks. 600LT's will depreciate further whilst the 675LT is only ever going to appreciate long term from the £200k mark. Grab a bargain while you can because they will totally disappear off the market soon with so few available in RHD in the UK
@@cutdepiefails6596 Its not just about speed and numbers though, its about how it feels and excites and this is where the 720S loses out to the 675LT even if its quicker. These cars already have too much power and speed for public roads. 765LT gets revealed at Geneva but will be a further 12 months down the line for first coupe customers cars and 18 months for spider. Price will be even higher again. They are building 750 of each so a 50% increase in production numbers over 675LT and I venture it will be just too fast to excite and fully enjoy on the public roads given the standard 720S performance. Hope they focus on driver engagement, feel, excitement and fun but hard to see how they can improve over the already brilliant 675LT whih has got all this in spades. A truely one off stand out car and sequels are rarely as good IMHO
@@scd ABSOLUTELY ! Even Damian from the Car guys said so and he is not a massive McLaren fan but owns a 675LT coupe that he probably paid a premium for at the time. Everyone I speak to that owns one along side a host of other supercars say its a stand out car and they will never sell it. If a 458 Speciale Aperta can command £600k then only £250k for a McLaren 675LT spider is indeed a real bargain especially when the LT is the better car in every dept bar sound IMHO. I get that Ferrari has the heritage and probably 5 x the following of McLaren brand at the moment but the gap is closing massively and at a pace as Mclaren establishes itself . Like I say it may take another 10 or indeed 20 years but the 675LT will be a future classic and as you rightly say we will look back and wonder why they are so cheap right now. When the market returns they will return to list price if any are left on the market
The 650S and therefore 675LT were well sorted cars probably the best McLaren have made. Early models always seem to suffer electrical gremlins and build quality issue hence better off buying an end of production model. Early 12C, 570S and 720S all had niggles but further into production these get sorted. My advice never buy an early model and buy USED after 1st owner has suffered the major depreciation. Buy a used 675LT and you should be issue and depreciation free
How cool is that owner. Yeah boyz, rag it as much as you want! No fucks given what so ever Oooooor one of the scd crew photographed him with his mistress?
With the 675lt and the 720S. I don;t understand the reasoning for the existence of the 600LT. 720s is a far superior vehicle than the 675LT in every way. Lot of poor bastards got burnt paying over the top money for the second hand limited 675LT thinking exclusiveness when along comes the 720S making them obsolete
Wrong the 720S is the Turbo S of McLaren ... tech, fast as hell, livable as a daily ... the 675Lt is a raw and intense drive and pure for a drivers car ... different animals
why don't british people wear hats when it's cold? or even dress up properly for cold weather? but especially the hats.. it's like a "thing" not to wear them??? bizarre.. see it in all the videos. they just sit there in the rain with no umbrella or a hat.. just in a t-shirt and talk about how cold it is. i don't get it. is it like a joke?
@@BanzaiYaris got it, so it's like a manliness thing in your culture? if you look like you're impervious to cold in the video you have credibility? ok, so that's interesting. each culture has their own.. some put a bone through their nose, or burn their skin into markings.. you guys stand in the cold and try not to shiver. ah, the natives, so much to study.
Their value falls so fast because they are not reliable, they break very easy, when they heat up they lose engine performance very easy too, in addition to the fact that the LT versions are more fun, they are not yet at the level of Porsche, Ferrari ... Mclaren still needs walk a lot to get there !! My friend instagram.com/cardoso.collector/ has a 675LT and a P1, and although he really likes the cars he has told me several times that he is never so excited at the same level as when he is driving others cars from his collection!
Beautiful cars. They are new to selling cars for public use. It will take them time to become more reliable. They are killing it on the designs and performance. Horrible resale value as they roll out new models too fast IMHO. Favorites are the P1 and the original daddy of them all F1. I am still a manual fan so no flappy paddles in the garage yet.
I’m lucky and fortunate enough to currently own a Ferrari Pista, Porsche GT2RS, mclaren 720s, mclaren 675LT spider among some other cars. I love all of them in their own way but the 675LT spider is my favorite of the lot! It’s pure magic! And for the record, the only problem I’ve had in three years of ownership is that the tonneau cover had to be adjusted. Same with my 720s, I got one hydraulic suspension sensor fault, which went away after a five minute drive and never came back. IMHO, Right now, Mclaren is head and shoulders above Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini in terms of Performance. Absolutely love the brand and I’m looking forward to the upcoming 765LT to replace my 720s. Cheers 🥂

Of course 675 will always be the daddy! Genuinely limited edition and feels so special in every way
@@brentpowell7889 I beg to differ and don't let facts get in the way of some good clickbait - The guy was talking 80ll0ck5 quite frankly. They produced a tonne of them hence why dealers still have stock cars. The REAL number was closer to 2000 worlwide so over 200 in the UK and at least TWICE as many as the 675LT.
@@scd Oh yeah baby its the DADDY of ALL SUPERcars lol !!!!!!!
675 still has that old school charm though ✌️
675LT pops and bangs on both Up and down shifts whereas 600LT seems to be only downshifts. Its like a shot gun going off and sounds fcukin amazing
Phenominal video.. Stunning shots at the start.. Matt, you nailed it mate.. 600LT for me, purely based on styling!
Thanks for watching Rob!
I've heard many people say the geometry needs adjusting on the 600lt and that makes a big difference to turn in. I pressume mclaren went for a neutral toe to give it a more "stable" feeling aimed at more inexperienced drivers.
Also a remap just transforms it into a beast
675lt my dream car, beast car .
Awesome that some SCD members are handing out their cars for this kind of stuff. Great video again guys. 👍
Mad isn’t it?! Hope we did it justice 🙏
TheSUPERCARDRIVER. Definitely did, keep them coming!
Amazing cars, amazing roads, good cinematography, good presenter
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
Mega video Matt 👍 675LT for me, the noise!
Yeah, it pops and bangs on both UPshifts and downshifts. Its like a shotgun going off. Spider with roof up but rear window down for maximum effect - AMAZING
675lt no doubt... kinda have that soul cos came around the p1
600LT for the top mounted exhaust, easy!!!
675 for me. Its a baby P1 and I don't think theres a better compliment than that.
Couldn’t agree more!
Was it top gear that said it was a baby P1 without the electrics and more fun
When I was shopping for mine and I went with the 600 > 675. The rear exhaust is awesome and with a minor tune = faster than the stock 675. Can’t go wrong with either or though
675 still remains my dream supercar
From a Porsche GT2/3 fanatic. Honestly the 675LT is the only other car I just drool over, they look so imposing. I think it's the best looking McLaren of all of them bar the F1.
Best car video I’ve seen in a while
Kind of you to say so! Thanks for watching
675 the most beautiful Mclaren ever. Way prettier than the 720
So well proportioned! stunning car
Yep its just looks spot on ! Purposeful and sexy
675LT is love
it is a super special car!
@@scd It is 😍❤
Great comparison. 675LT is no doubt a better long term investment prospect, but the 600LT Spider is just more engaging and fun. Pick up one of the deals and enrich your life by thoroughly enjoying the car on road and track for what it is, rather than worrying about preserving future value.
DR CAW that’s certainly one way to look at it 🙌🙌
Nah buy a 675LT spider at a bargain price and see it appreciate !
Pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it! We had the 140i’s but they’re gone now. RS3 instead
Great review. Wonderfully shot
Thank you buddy!
@supercardrivers - having watched countless videos on both 675/600 LT’s it appears that the 600 exhaust doesn’t crack/pop on upshifts but just on downshifts while 675 seems to crack on both ....can you confirm this from your drives in both cars? Thanks
I prefer the looks of the 675LT. And they both are great cars. But the 600LT have generated a bit more praise from journalists.
Smee 150 said the 675 LT is his favorite MacLaren and I think one of his favorite cars!
People that complain about resale value are the very people causing it, chasing after the newest thing out.
675 lt all day
You know it buddy
I love 675lt
so do we!
Damn Bro, i am impressed. Nice review. Subscribed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍😊
Man, this Forza Horizon 4 gameplay footage is great!
675 lt for the win !!! its a raw sounding weapon
you know it!
To me, in terms of performance, McLaren makes the best supercars.
Great cars in nice locations.
The 675LT is simply the P1 without all the hybrid stuff, and it was really made for the joy of driving. For me, the 675LT is the one supercar to have, along with the Ferrari 458 Speciale
675 is the one!
The 675 is analogue whilst the 600 is digital ... 600 even faster round corners ...
675LT all day

That 675 is a proper weapon.
I also think that the 675lt is the best looking mclaren
The area of driving though :D

I am just waiting for 750 LT or even 775 LT or (please santa, let it be 800 LT !).
Given that 720s is only half a second slower around portimao track (portugal) than the P1, I can't imagine how awesome will the LT version of 720s will be!
For me the 600 wins because of the Top mounted exhaust! There are only a few other vehicles on the planet that you can get that on and one of them is the Bugatti Chiron and that’s $3 million dollars more if you can find one!
Found a coupe in Orange with the roof scoop today 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I’m done!
Roof scoop LT would be a big WIN!
675LT for sure❤️
675LT still my fav all time car
I love the video with my entire life
They both sound very similar but with a convertible and a top mounted exhaust I think that will skew your opinion when driving the 600LT like in the video
True!
Drive a 675LT spider with roof up and rear window down. The up and down shifts sound amazing, just like a shot gun going off
...Unless 'LT' makes you think 'langheck,' in which case "longtail" will take you back to 917s.
That too 😂
675LT for me please.
Good call buddy
Ace vid, Did Tony swap in the R8? What a swap if so haha!
Yes he did!
Who else noticed the weave on the 600 doesn’t line up at 7:49
Both cars are impresionant and I’d give my life to have them
Way too many 600LT's built hence the stupid finance deals to try and off load them.
Until the 750lt gets revealed. 720s in later updates already leaves the 675lt in doubt, with the LT it will be left even lower.
Cut de Pie Fails nah 675 will always the original long tail
Gazza Brownhigh so true! 675’s are vastly undervalued aren’t they!!!
4:17 So Honest :D
These cars are bikes are just getting too fast for normal roads
Great video
Thank you 🙌
Anyone know the location of where the video was shot?
Yorkshire Dales
675 for me looks much better and cooler!
I think the depreciation and discounts are down to McLaren coming up with new cars every few months it seems, and their notorious unreliability.
They’re practically giving away 600’s at the moment
The 650S and therefore 675LT were well sorted cars probably the best McLaren have made. Early models always seem to suffer electrical gremlins and build quality issue hence better off buying an end of production model. Early 12C, 570S and 720S all had niggles but further into production these get sorted. My advice never buy an early model and buy USED after 1st owner has suffered the major depreciation.
Buy a used 675LT and you should be issue and depreciation free
Fantastic
Thanks Chaz ✌️
6OOLT FTW!
Great vid, really enjoyed that!
So with the 600lt on finance (30k. +800pm) does that mean it'll cost you roughly 50k to have it for 2 years?
Thanks for watching and commenting! And yes but beats that mammoth depreciation!
675 all the time

The 600LT just looks way better on the exterior and better/updated tech in the interior. 🔥💪🏾
No doubt
Their value falls so fast because they are not reliable, they break very easy, when they heat up they lose engine performance very easy too, in addition to the fact that the LT versions are more fun, they are not yet at the level of Porsche, Ferrari ... Mclaren still needs walk a lot to get there !! My friend instagram.com/cardoso.collector/ has a 675LT and a P1, and although he really likes the cars he has told me several times that he is never so excited at the same level as when he is driving others cars from his collection!
Interesting! Fair enough. Believe the 675 is certainly more reliable
Cheers 🥂
Just got a 600LT. Epic car. 675 just didn't quite do it for me.. it wasn't cohesive for me exterior and interior. Can't lose with either but the 600 won me over
