I was looking for someone who thought the same. :) Just put a normal sized telescope on the rooftop and it is his house. Sad that we don't have that in TS4.
there is a telescope mod! if you’re on pc, of course. it’s called the “Astral Playground Telescope“ by Jony Simmer!

I am proud of you for driving! Just because something is “not a big deal” for “most people” doesn’t mean it’s not a big deal! The fact that you faced you fear in order to help and take care of your sister and cat is a big deal! You are strong and brave and amazing! Consider yourself validated!
Driving is overstimulating and can be very stressful. And being anxious about it is perfectly understandable considering the consequences of failure.

Uh imagine a romance-pack! Better marriage: honeymoon, more dresses, bachelor parties etc; better dating: online dating, cinema (maybe?), more depth in a relationship, realistic affairs and exes, idk. Wouldn't it be cool?

i know not everyone likes or can have mods (and this should be in the base game) but i have a few examples that may help haha. i use the explore mod to send my recently married sims on vacation and take it as a honeymoon, the simda dating mod adds online dating, the road to romance mod has more realistic and in depth romantic relationships, the wonderful/wicked whims mod adds an attraction system and finally the woohoo wellness and pregnancy overhaul mod adds more realism to cheating (as well as birth control, adoption, etc) hope it helps if you like mods :)
Honestly thank you so much for sharing about your driving anxiety. I struggle with it a lot and cannot drive, and feel a lot of shame about it. Hearing that you experience it and that it is something can be overcome is inspiring and encouraging and something to look forward to.

Play however you want to play. If you enjoy that, go for it. Kayla just prefers to struggle with her sims because that’s the play style she enjoys. If you enjoy other aspects of the game and having enough money is more of a pain than a feature then mother lode it up. Edit to change pet to play style

i feel like Kayak’s going through a modern building stage again, she comes on and off like blue suburban, modern then something else then blue suburban, and every build is still beautiful, but we don’t talk about the viral rebuild ones

It’s so good to hear that I’m not the only “non-teenage” person in my age group dealing with driving anxiety 😅, thank you for sharing your stories! You’ve really helped me to challenge myself to drive more often and it totally hasn’t been that bad! 😂
Yay! Well done! I feel like people sometimes don't get the level of fear and anxiety driving can cause. Facing that fear takes guts. Keep at it, I used to be the most terrified driver in the world and the weight off my shoulders now that I'm more confident is such a relief. Xx
ahh I'm also terrified of driving, I have a learner's permit but I haven't been able to practice at all because I get too anxious about it- which really sucks because i'm gonna need to travel to uni in a few months and idek if I'll be able to get my license. its so scary bro :( how'd yall learn to get over the anxiety?
@@seabb only advice I can give is to keep telling yourself you can do it. And remember lots of other people on the road feel the same way, even people who've had their license a while. Worse comes to worst, pull over at the next safe place take a deep breath and a sip of water and then do the next bit. You can break any journey down in to little journeys with stops in between, that helped me. You really will be fine, I'm assuming you're from the US (just by the term learners permit?) so take some comfort knowing you probably won't ever have to do a three lane roundabout ☺ with practice it's guna get easier and easier x
23 and just renewed my learner's permit for the third time! Don't worry, we'll get there! Or just move to a walkable city! Who knows 😀
It will pass if you keep pushing yourself. I had horrific driving anxiety for a year or so after my crash. I once hardcore cried on the side of a motorway because I failed to join as a stupid van refused to move over! Was physically shaking with anxiety! I did manage to develop my confidence. However it's been a half a year since I have driven and I think I will need the practice again when I finally start haha

my cat became demon possessed and gave my mom scars when she put him in the carrier to go to the vet. and then when she picked up the carrier he spinned around in circles and kept trying to open the door of the carrier. it was like the scariest thing i ever seen. my cat is huge and it took 2 people to load him in the carrier into the car. he is normally very mellow, but he just freaked out.
we put him on kitty anxiety meds after that and he is much much better. hope lemon get better !

Sounds like a rescue cat, obviously very traumatised from something in his past involving a carrier.

I've always assumed Oasis Springs was predominantly inspired by Palm Springs, anyway, so this seems very fitting
I am 23 and only started driving regularly more recently, even though I have had my license since I was 19. Driving has caused me so much anxiety and even now that I drive almost every day I still get very anxious at times. It was nice to hear your similar experience and to know I am not alone in the driving anxiety.
That nail thing happened to my childhood dog. Got caught between the wood planks on the deck while he was running, and he pulled it right out. Blood all over the kitchen. Limping and crying. He was in a cast for a week, plus the cone of shame because he liked to lick his paws.
Yeah that happened with my dog last year. Blood everywhere and absolutely terrifying, but he was fine. Nails pulled clean off! 😭😞

You talking about your anxiety driving and how proud of yourself you are really hits home for me. There are so many “normal” things I have to hype myself up for and feel proud of myself for doing. And it’s nice to hear someone else talk about this.

The driving anxiety is fully valid! I’m proud of you for the steps working through. The vet thing is definitely very stressful. I empathize and know they deal with crying all the time. I sobbed in front of a vet tech over a very simple injury on my dog. Lovely build as well! It’s so different and fun.
I like when Kayla actually LIKES the builds that she does. When she's just super excited because she thinks it looks good. And it does! I love this build!
Literally cried taking my cat to my friends for the weekend so I could go to a funeral. So I completely respect that you managed to get lemon there whilst meowing like that . It'd be way too stressful for me to manage ❤️❤️❤️

I feel you on the driving anxiety. I’m 28, and still can’t do it. I have a license, but I’ve barely done anything on the road, so I wouldn’t trust myself to do any really driving. Kudos to you for trying to get past your fear!

As a 19yo new driver who has major driving anxiety. It means a lot you talk about it and struggle with it. I haven’t even left my town alone yet. But you make me want to exit my comfort zone

It came out so good!!! I love it. Would also love to see more modern stuff from you, it’s great. And yes the gravel under the plants was a great touch. Maybe other rooms or builds with black and white and another accent color such as yellow or pink

i completely understand the driving anxiety, and i'm really proud of you for being able to drive in a situation like that, especially on such short notice! you're doing great and even though this might be something that would be easy for other people, it does not diminish the fact that it is an accomplishment for you and deserves recognition.
It totally looks like an LA house. I’ve seem some of them in ,beach communities. I also LOVE the way it looks outside and inside. The black white and orange decor is stunning! Well done!

I work at the vet, you guys did a great job with poor little Lemon! Yes we see people crying and upset all the time, no need to be embarrassed. We cry too, just not in front of clients. I'm glad Lemon only had minor injuries. Tip: During recovery you may want to change to shredded paper or unpopped popcorn kernels instead of litter to keep any debris out of the wounds. Big props to kicking your anxiety in the face for the sake of your sister and Lemon. They needed you and you came through!
Idea: The Sims 4: Sleepover Kit(or sleepover stuff)
A gameplay kit that allows for sleepovers for kids and teens
Has a sleeping bag and maybe something for a pillow fight?(like a pile of pillows)
'Sleepover Stuff' has a better ring to it but I feel like there isn't enough in this for a stuff pack.

In all honesty, that downstairs plant in the dining area that ties everything together really does, because it has orange-ish tips and ties together the color scheme
My cat hates cars and screams so much when in the cat carrier. Top tip have someone talk to the cat in a calm way maybe just saying their name in a calm voice or just chatting so the cat can focus on your voice and not the sounds of the car! ❤️
You could definitely try out your idea of the tiny homes all together with roommates, could have different people living “with you” but not in your space
The build kinda reminds me of the sims 2, but with a better design. I'd definitely see Don Lothario living here

Oh hun that car journey sounds traumatic! I didn’t get my licence until I was 27 because I was such an anxious driver. I was kind of forced to get it as I moved out of the city and the public transport was non existent. It’s gotten much easier for me with time, but I still freak out sometimes when I have to drive through the city or over big freeway bridges.
25, working on my license now. Failing my test the first time created my anxiety and so it’s taken a while to build back my confidence. Glad you are and have been overcoming it! This is inspiring to hear. ❤️

About driving anxiety, I've been comfortable with driving for like a decade, but then I got a treatment for a couple of years that was giving me dizziness and vertigo, so it happened sometimes while I was driving. I was really scared, so I stopped driving for several years. Then when my treatment was completed i tried to drive again, but it was really hard, i still had anxiety. It took a while but now i can drive again like before. Countryside roads are great because most of the time it's like you're alone, I practiced on these to get back on track or driving in small towns. It helps to get confidence.

I’m 29 and I also hate driving. Makes me so anxious, therapy definitely helps! I often have to force myself to go places too so it doesn’t get terrible.
I'm glad Lemon is ok! It sounds like a really scary situation, and I'm proud of you for pulling throgh it all! I don't even know how to drive, so you are doing great in my book! We all have our little win-moments 💖

honestly it's really nice to hear Kayla talk about her driving anxiety. I personally have a lot of driving anxiety as well and have always been made fun of by my fam for not driving, and so hearing that other people have trouble with it makes it feel more normal.
I relate, it took me a while to get over my driving anxiety and I still get a little nervous. Something that helps me a lot is just learning more about cars and how they work. I feel less nervous driving when I know that my car’s body is built to protect me and I know that I can handle situations that go wrong if I need to like take my tire off or something. Feeling more knowledgeable and prepared reduces the anxiety a lot.

Listening to Simsie talk about the cat and driving anxiety. I drive frequently and have awful driving anxiety. I can imagine the cat was screaming in the car, and you were screaming in your head. But you kept it together! Good work!
Great build! It's really cool to see you branch out and just have fun with different styles of house. Maybe you could make this into a vacation spot and bring your legacy Sims to celebrate their honeymoon or something.
About the emergency with your cat: I'm sorry you had to go through such a stressful situation! Be proud of yourself for being able to handle it and learn from it. You did great! And I hope your cat recovers well.

Poor Lemon! the same thing has happened to my cat Mango. However, when Mango did it he managed to tear ligaments in his paw at the same time, he had a little surgery to get it all cleaned up and recovered in about 2 weeks. It was a very expensive few days for a broken nail..
