My dentist said I have a good bite but my old dentist said I have a 50% overbite and my recent dentist said I just need top braces to close my gap but since I have thick gums they can’t close my gap fully

Ivy Mulhern Yeah, that probably is because I have an extreme overbite and have braces for it, but usually if it’s bad enough that you can’t see your bottom teeth then your top teeth can’t protect your jaw as well as it could if it were straighter.

My lower jaw sit a bit more forward than the top, which in a way is good if your male. It's given me a more define chin but if your female you might want to get that fixed as it can make your chin look to masculine. Still need to fix my teeth tho 😬
you will need an expander for about 2-3 months depending on how bad it is . I went to the orthondontist today and they said that I needed it for a week so I can get braces ! 😘 you will be fine . the expander doesn’t take long to put in your teeth . Same with taking it out .

Over bite fixed with braces and it’s so pain full I have like these springs in my mouth and I can’t eat right because I can’t bite down on my food all the way and the springs get in my way , it’s super annoying but I guess at the end of the day it’s worth it

My upper teeths cover about 25% to 33% of my lower teeths from what I can observe. Is this normal?
My lower jaw sit a bit more forward than the top, which in a way is good if your male. It's given me a more define chin but if your female you might want to get that fixed as it can make your chin look to masculine. Still need to fix my teeth tho 😬
1:40 is mine and I have a thing in my mouth fixing it... but I can hardly eat with it because I can chew with my teeth way back anymore :/

you will need an expander for about 2-3 months depending on how bad it is . I went to the orthondontist today and they said that I needed it for a week so I can get braces ! 😘 you will be fine . the expander doesn’t take long to put in your teeth . Same with taking it out .

I have an overbite, and my orthodontist told me he would have to extract two teeth from the side and have braces put on my teeth. I’m scared, and this was 3 years ago. I’m not going thru that pain sorry.

Gaming & Hacking I had to get 4 teeth extracted too, it was honestly the worst part of the whole braces experience. Putting the braces on and tightening them wasn’t that bad

At what age should overjet be treated in children? I have a 3 year old daughter and she definitely has an overjet bite. I'm assuming the sooner the treatment starts the better for her but at what age should it start?
