The brewing quality of the Moccamaster coffee makers is beyond dispute and guarantee a first-class beverage due to the fact that brewing temperature and water/coffee contact time as well as holding temperature are in accordance with the critical requirements of the European Coffee Brewing Centre and the Speciality Coffee Association of America and Europe. The European seal of approval on all their coffee makers speaks for itself and ultimately, it is the personal touch that makes the Moccamaster products unique and respected worldwide, and now loved in Australia.
Moccamaster Australia has done amazingly well at showcasing filter coffee in a predominantly milk-based espresso culture. We have loved seeing the growth of the filter coffee industry and see batch brewers and filter coffee grinders becoming a standard alongside milk-based coffees in Australian cafes.

I have a Moccamaster Thermal. The mixer lid only matters during brewing, because it ensures the newest coffee goes to the bottom of the carafe while the brew cycle is running, thus automatically evening out the overall brew strength in the carafe. Once brewing is complete, you can pour with either lid in place. The travel lid has no hole in the top, so it will keep the coffee warmer.
I have had the KBT for over 12 years and still LOVE it and keep it well cared for. I learned some neat brew tips from a few channels on this platform which helped improve even more the great coffee I was making! Moccamaster is THE BEST COFFEE MAKER out there! (I do love the variety of colors too and would like to get one of those someday!) 👍
Any tips you'd like to share? I've started using the KBT for the first time!
Are those two different kinds of white? What color are the glass vs. thermal?
Hello, can you just make one cup of coffee with the Classic version? And is there a drop in quality with the one cup machine?
2:40 Classic sounds like the brew begins at 2 cups and goes up to 10. It is equipped with 9 hole shower head for hot water dispersion. The One Cup he didn't say but the shower head looks smaller perhaps concentrated (but to be fair it is paper filter size 1), does not seem like it could have multiple heads. Just my 2 cents. By no means official.
Great review!
I received my moccamaster one cup few weeks ago and love the device but have noticed something unusual. When I add water to the reservoir it drips through the metal pipe.
I have contacted the Australian distributor and they said this is "normal"
Have you experienced this?
Yes same here, just couple drips of old water coming through I think, no issue for me.
Have you tried brewing vietnamese coffee with this? How does it taste?
I haven't, sorry.
But now you made me curious to try :)
What about the Moccamaster KBGV Select??
We didn't stock them at the time of filming. If filmed now, we would have included it.
Wish it had an auto start for early mornings....
Oh noooo, I need that too. Thanks for thinking of this. We always wake up to brewed coffee. Dang it.
The stainless steel carafe does not keep the coffee hotter longer than the heat plate version. That’s just simple fact. Brew both machines at the exact same time and then test the temperature in out about 30 minutes later and then an hour later.
The point of thermal carafe is to not burn the coffee on a hot plate. I would rather warm up excellent coffee after an hour than have burnt hot coffee. But that is probably just me 😊
Shame you have to take the mixer lid off if you then need to put it back... when your traveling that would be pita
You don't have to. The travel lid has grooves in it so you can partially turn it open, pour coffee, and the close it again. I own one myself and do it throughout the day as I'm drinking a pot.
Mock-uh-master? I thought it was MOE-kuh-mas-ter.
