Every character from Smallville is great. Is not a superhero show, is a FAMILY show above everything else, about caring about your family and friends. In my book is easily one of the best TV Shows ive ever seen.
Indeed it is. I never thought Smallville would "touch" me the way it did. It even goes a lot deeper, there is esoteric Truth throughout the whole series, Egyptian (old Khemit) religion sky skyrocketing (look alone at interior of the Talon) and the "gods" Atum-Ra, Geb, Nut and many others. They all symbolize different energies and manifestations.
His superpower was to be a good father, good husband, a hard worker guy. Thank you Jonathan. And thank you john schneider. Was a tremendus performance.
I got weepy watching this short little clip. Smallville is the Superman story I always wanted to hear and as far as I'm concerned, it's still the best. John's performance elevated this show to something truly special.

Probably my favorite portrayal of Jonathan Kent: he was very human, being a great father to Clark while also being (over) protective sometimes, and always a partner to Martha. He had his flaws and his strengths, from his writing to how wonderfully Schneider acts as him. IMHO he's the gold standard for Pa Kent
Theres only a few shows i could binge watch over and over. Supernatural, Lost, and Smallville. I love these shows so much. They helped me through some tough times.
Clark became Superman, not because of being powerful. But, because Jonathan Kent imparted the values of humanity onto him to become a Boy Scout and Superman.
The casting for the show was exceptional. Whoever was responsible for those decisions really had a talent for it. It’s really difficult to achieve the suspension of disbelief in fantasy works and the cast did it so well for such a long run.
These are works of pure fiction that touches the heart. Now America is divided, among whatever lines. They need a hero to look up to. I hope America can find peace and love again.

I'm glad he actually got to play the role again in the finale, even if it was for a little to no money. It only made sense. He was there from the beginning, he made a few appearances here and there in between, and he was there until the finale to help solidify Clark and knight him what the help of Jor-El as Superman.
Totally totally gets it. That's why the Superman movies will always fail from now on because they're not going to copy small bills spirit and heart or what Christopher Reeve did or what Richard Donner did for the Smallville Kansas sequences. Is not just about Superman flying around and fighting people.
I'm not proud of what I'm about to say but since there's no chance of this happening, I'm just gonna say it: I can do (direct) a better Superman film than Zack Snyder. Hahaha.

Smallville very Much understood what DC comics as a whole look's at, Witch is People with amazing superhuman abilities and their Journey to understanding their responsibility but at the same time learning how to keep their Humanity or maybe more simply put remembering who they were before they put on the suite. that the person under the suit is just as important as your superhuman Identity. It's funny. I can't help but think of RDJ as Iron man at the end of Spiderman Homecoming " If you're nothing without this suit then you shouldn't have it..God I sound like my dad"
John Schneider was the reason I tuned into Smallville in the first place. He was somehow even better looking in this role than in any other roles I've watched. He is a captivating actor and interviewee. If John had not been cast, I would have never watched the show, because I'm not a big Superman fan and I would have missed a really good series that made me a fan of all the other actors. Sad thing is that Superman curse is real, most actors from Smallville didn't have great careers following the shows run, despite many of the actors being great. The only exception I can think of is the guy from the recent Superman movies

Such a memorable moment watching Jonathan Kent giving his son the suit😢❤ Just like how it was so badass when Clark Kent turned evil in the earlier seasons. Ex remember when Jonathan Kent was possessed by Jor el because John wanted to save Clark so bad at any cost.. if people don't remember it was at saying when Clark's chest turned into a backwards eight Clark and John were fighting in some kind of boiler room or something..
I thought the Dukes of Hazard was a Stupid Show. But I thought John Schneider added real class to his show in his Portrayal of Jonathan Kent. Jonathan Kent was a real devoted Fatehr figure- devoted to his son, Clarrk, his wife and doing good for the World mainly thorugh raising his special son. After they killed off Jonathan Kent, the show wasn't the same and I basically stopped watching it. Why did John Schneider leave the show?

This man executed my favorite childhood father figure perfectly. I think i speak for all smallville fans when i say Johnathon was like a 2nd father.
