I feel like since haki counters devil fruits its hard to say that for combat in OP haki is better to have. Devil fruits also become significantly less useful against people with comparable haki to your own. Roger and WB had basically an even battle. Despite WB having arguably the most powerful DF just because they had a similar level of Haki they were basically equal.
I think Haki has a lot more developmental potential then pretty much every devil fruit aside from logias which we haven't seen awaken. You look at characters like garp who can blast away islands with his haki alone, shanks who can destroy kids entire ship with a single divine departure and snipe people with his conquerors haki from across islands. You look at these characters and they're technically not even at the very top of what Haki can do. Spoilers for the manga: Joyboy's haki, that was sealed in a tied knot for over a thousand years, was strong enough to knock the gorosei out of their transformed states and forced them to teleport back to their home base. That haki was felt across the planet and had people questioning if it was more powerful then shanks' haki. it went so far across the world that it reached Imu and even if you want to say that Imu was excited for whatever reason, the fact that Joyboy's haki reached that far across the planet after being sealed away for so long tells us that we really haven't touched the surface for what Haki can really do in the series. Even though he said it was his "strongest haki" it was only the base conquerors haki. Imagine what his advanced conquerors haki looks like. There's so much room for evolution with Haki because of chapter 1122 that we really need to see what an awakened logia looks like for the answer to remotely change. I would have to give it to haki just because of how far the goal post is when it comes to how much it could grow and how strong it could possibly get.

The only similarities are the weakness to water and the concept of awakening, but other than that, there are really no real universal skills to each devil fruit power with few exceptions and thus each character needs to develop their own techniques with it while haki on the other hand anyone with enough training can replicate any shown only haki feat divine departure, galaxy impact, future sight, full body armorment as examples and can be used as a direct line of scaling someone's power while with devil fruits boil down more to type matchups or skill checks rather than an overall power scale

Nah Top Tier conquerers is Joyboy enough to Subdue the 5 Elders from their form in only a basic State. If Haki is that Top Tier it's wild. I also really doubt if Whitebeard had his fruit that he never used it on Roger Once as you would think they would imbue it along with their weapon and other things in serious battles. I also don't know about the Haki being invisible thing. I think for Haki users they can see it or observation. That haki was felt across the planet and had people questioning if it was more powerful then shanks' haki. it went so far across the world that it reached Imu and even if you want to say that Imu was excited for whatever reason, the fact that Joyboy's haki reached that far across the planet after being sealed away for so long tells us that we really haven't touched the surface for what Haki can really do in the series.
Even though he said it was his "strongest haki" it was only the base conquerors haki. Imagine what his advanced conquerors haki looks like. There's so much room for evolution with Haki because of chapter 1122 that we really need to see what an awakened logia looks like for the answer to remotely change. I would have to give it to haki just because of how far the goal post is when it comes to how much it could grow and how strong it could possibly get.

When kaido said Haki transcends all, it made people think fruits were useless, and that’s not the case at all, especially when 2/3 people with the title of the strongest have devil fruits
Don’t get me wrong haki is more important for sure, but devil fruits most definitely make a difference, especially when you pair it with strong haki, people always remember that haki negates fruit powers but forget that if a fruit user has strong haki they can resist that effect, example: law vs vergo
On top of that awakening abilities seem to be more potent then standard ones so you’d need even more powerful haki to negate them, example: joyboys haki vs the gorosei

Honestly people tend to forget how much of a glazer Kaido is. Not saying his top 5 aren't like that only that he based that assumption off Roger who had no Devil Fruit. But seriously, Kaido likely hadn't even fought Shanks more than once.

The only similarities are the weakness to water and the concept of awakening, but other than that, there are really no real universal skills to each devil fruit power with few exceptions and thus each character needs to develop their own techniques with it while haki on the other hand anyone with enough training can replicate any shown only haki feat divine departure, galaxy impact, future sight, full body armorment as examples and can be used as a direct line of scaling someone's power while with devil fruits boil down more to type matchups or skill checks rather than an overall power scale

I don’t agree with internal destruction haki being able to remove seaprism. In the story we technically never saw anyone use haki with seaprism on. The cuffs he destroyed with the explosive ones which is highlighted not to be seaprism evidence being that luffy and Yamato being able to use the their df powers.Other than that the video is spot on
Bro said mid tier df is better than mid tier haki then used the example of Kidd and Law. Kidd and Law are awakened devil fruit users that hardly mid tier the equivalent of awakened devil fruit will be advance haki, probably someone with two advance haki like Zoro. Not only that, but Kidd and Law have decent haki, the story clearly stated that multiple times. A true mid tier devil fruit user will be someone like Robin, and she's is not top tier per say.
Even Robin is somewhat awakened, the equivalent haki wise will be honest impact Coby or Vergo.
The fact that laws devil fruit is worth more than any pirate would clearly show that law fruit is one of the strongest fruits in the verse. It’s also stated to be the ultimate devil fruit, just having an eternal life ability, would not make a fruit the ultimate devil fruit it’s all the other abilities alongside it

Yes, but it takes the best haki like Joyboy and Shanks to beat the best tech.

I'm saying. These potential Devil Fruit Awakenings could be actually busted. Forgot who but someone made the observation of Luffy in Gear 5 just being able to stun people just off the natural toon force he gets in that state and in terms of pure hax Devil Fruits do trump all. But I still advocate for Haki.
