It is so important to make movies about the Chicano culture. Especially now that the culture is changing. It seems to me like the Chicano culture is fading away and the Pisano culture is taking over. We can’t let people forget those important years in history.
Good Evening. This would be considered Cholo & Varrio Culture more than anything but it would be considered a subculture within Chicano Culture just like Lowriding is a Custom Car culture & is also another subculture within Chicano Culture. I don't believe Paisano Culture is overtaking our Culture. There is a lot 1st Generation Chicanos/Mexican-Americans who do embrace that whole Mexican Vaquero culture by dressing up in the fashion & listening & dancing to the music but that has been happening since the 2000s & even as far back as the '90s. I noticed it became more pronounced after 2010 but no I don't think that is overtaking our Chicano Culture & subcultures. If anything it's the young Chicanos/as talking like they're Black & adopting other aspects of African-American Culture like hairstyles etc. The biggest thing is the whole Ebonics slang thing being adopted & used. I don't practice that & it does bother me. I don't hate the Black People at all but there are things that we did our own way but it's not practiced by a noticeable amount of Gente in the younger generation.
