Dont misunderstand guys.....ill explain this clearly.
This is happening bcz hill assist is not there.
And .....
this is an automatic car, forexample: in normal roads during traffic when u engage the gear the vehicle moves forward and while the car is still in gear and u press the brake(a force preventing the car to move) the sensors disengage the clutch to save fuel, again when u release brake the sensors engage the clutch and car moves forward irrespective of u pressing accelerator pedal because the sensors dont detect any external opposing force.
Example 2: when you are in a inclined road(hills) , and u apply brake in traffic the same happens as in example 1 , but while u release brake and try to move ,here there is an external gravitational force(inclined road) opposing the engine . Even when u release brake the sensors get confused thinking the inclined road is a brake and dosent engage the clutch . This is the reason the car goes back, hill assist missing.

We recently got Kia carens IMT diesel which comes with same engine with 7 seats, we went to hills area, I didn't face any issue as such but lag was there, we have to accelerate as soon as we leave the brake.
Personally I don't like the way it drives in low speeds, but no problem in highway speeds

I have Seltos iMT diesel and have been on hills with steep slopes up and down. Didn’t felt any problem.
Already covered more than 8500 km and very very satisfied.
I have diesel htx+ and I don’t have any problem in hills anywhere very nice and smooth car
I also have kia seltos imt I don't problem in hills

Only beginners use hand brake in hills. Otherwise a diesel car don't need handbrake as such to climb on hills

First use accelerator then release break in hilly area's, just like we use manual cars at hilly area's... , because it's imt not an cvt aur amt... (Fully automatic).. 🥲🥲😅😅.

Par mere paas sonet 2020 turbo petrol imt hai. Usko bahut bar hills pe lekar gaya hu par aaj tak aaisi problem nahi aai. Traffic me bhi gaadi bade pyar se climb kar rahi thi without any jerk

We have kia sonet IMT 2021. Covered 35000km +. We took it to srinagar from there we went to Gulmarg, Pehalgam and never faced such a problem. Maybe you are driving for the first time on hills in an IMT so you are facing the problem. Also check the car with the service centre since never faced this rmp shifting issue

If you don’t have hill hold Assist use hand break and give little race and once vehicle ready to move release hand break to move vehicle. Same technology in Maruti AGS where there is no hill hold assist feature
That's why still diesel manual creta is a gem❤

I have been driving Kia Seltos IMT Petrol for more than an year.. driven 20 thousand plus.. Never faced this problem.. It has never stalled.. It has got hill assist so it never rolls back.. you need to get used to a new transmission before making judgement.. have been to multiple hill trips..

Apko agar hill ascend karna hai to left leg ka use Karo brake par aur right leg rakho accelerator pe. As soon as you leave the brake with your left leg, start accelerating the car with your right leg... Problem solved.

Proud Owner of SONET IMT TURBO PETROL, believe me aaj tak band nhi hui and iMT ke apne fayde hai and Mussorie bhi hokr aye with 4 people and bootspace was 100% occupied and still felt no lag and band kabhi nhi hui. Apko IMT ki adat lagegi tb nhi hogi ye problem
Hill Hold Assist seems not working here. Hill Hold Assist in IMT is key to use in uphill.

Using IMT for over 2 years, haven't face such issues yet. Get it checked with service centre, looks like a faulty unit

Bhai IMT me aisa hota hai ki like agar tum break halka saa release kar rahe ho toh race bhi thoda saa lagaana padta hai tabhi usko power milega n rpm badhega n den tumhaari gaadi hilly areas pe proper chalegi varna sirf brake hi release karne k bharose rahoge toh vo nahi chalega n 2nd thing yeh hai ki gear knob pe sensor laga reheta hai toh agar aapko gaadi chalani hai toh gear change karke uspe se haath hata do.. n aapki driving habit dekh k aisa lag raha hai jaise aap gear pe dusra haath rakh k gaadi chalaate ho.. toh isse vo sensor confuse hota hai n gaadi ko neutral pe rakhta hai jiski vajah se aapki gaadi hilly areas me chadhan pe niche jaati hai so.. gear knob pe haath mat rakhe raho ok.. yeh 2 habits ko change karke dekho tab aapko real me pata chalega ki IMT kaisa hai ok

Hii my name Sudhanshu!,Arun panwar I think you should tell tanish to buy mahindra Scorpio n z2 diesel manual , as he needs diesel car and it best if he wants to modify also he can do small of roading and also for traveling it would be better and also it is a 7 seater car (best family car and also small off roading purposes), and also it is in budget and 5star rated. So I would prefer tanish mahindra Scorpio n.👍👍

Nothing wrong with imt system if you drive manual same theory if you put in first gear with full clutch down that also move on downhill soon you release clutch car move forward imt is put in the gear you have to press the brake and release the brake and same time you have to press the accelerati. You have to learn how to drive.
