  • The Bachelor of Business and Economics at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is an amazing program at a high ranked university, that is why the competition to get accepted is high.
    Read for more details: www.wu.ac.at/e...
    That is why it is important to have more options. This video is about exactly that!
    I have been swimming in this education in Austria ocean and have learnt a lot of insights from my students. Thaks to them this video was made! You can check out the highlight "Plan B" on my instagram: @maria.teachie which my student of bbe-exam.com helped made! A huge thaks to Ali!
    Please always check the official uni websites, information might be subject to change!
    Lauder Business School:
    lbs.ac.at/stud...
    Requires: Sending basic info about yourself and maybe some docs,essay,interview
    Hard to predict if you will get accepted or not (rumors say it is mostly for jewish and austrian students, with not many international students,but I know 2 girls from Romania and one girl from France who got accepted in 2021) , should not be the only plan B you have
    Johannes Kepler University:
    www.jku.at/en/...
    New program, fresh out of the “oven”. For 80 places in 2021 only 94 applicants, so very good chances of getting accepted.
    Admission requirements: www.jku.at/en/...
    Requires: a video and an essay, WATCH OUT FOR THE TOPIC YOU NEED TO WRITE ABOUT, read their emails for more instructions)
    A note for non EU/EEA students: Proof of Special University Entrance Qualifications is needed.
    In Austria, you may only choose those degree programs you would be allowed to study in the country where you completed secondary school/university.
    A university recognized in this country which offers the program must confirm that you have the right to study there (= documentation proving you hold special university entrance qualifications or "proof of being accepted to study")
    For more details check: www.jku.at/en/...
    Alpen-Adria Universitat:
    www.aau.at/en/...
    a pretty simple entrance exam, there is a sample of it on their website. They also tell you which literature you need to read to prepare for it.
    Admission process: www.aau.at/en/...
    Proof of Special University Entrance Qualifications is also needed for applicants who do not have an Austrian school-leaving certificate or a general higher education entrance qualification for Germany.
    What WU says about that proof: www.wu.ac.at/e...
    (NOT NEEDED FOR WU BACHELOR OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS). Just for the German bachelors at WU.
    VWU preparatory program (German at least A2)
    A good, almost 100% acceptance plan
    If you have at least A2 level of German you can apply to any university in Vienna for a German taught bachelor. If you German is not C1 they will re-direct you to vorstudienlehr...
    to get your German to a C1 level and maybe take any extra subjects which the university needs to make your school leaving certificate “equal” to the Austrian one.
    If you are applying to WU to a german taught bachelor there: www.wu.ac.at/e...
    You can apply to more than one uni.
    Other options:
    FH (fachhochschule) des BFI Wien www.fh-vie.ac....
    Check my plan B highlight at ig:maria.teachie for the entrance procedure
    Quote from my friend about it: It has a similar structure to highschool when you are given clearly what and when you have and it is more oragnized, so a different structure than a uni where you have more freedom of choice. The diploma wise it will be smth of the same value once you graduate (uni and FH).
    FH Wiener Neustadt (close to Vienna)
    Bachelor: Business consultancy international

      Thank you for your comment😊 as far as I know: usually no, at least not in the mentioned unis. There is a merit based scholarship at WU for students, based on grades (they have to be good), and usually it is not thaaat much. Apart from that I haven't heard of any. But you could also look for independent scholarships or the ones given out by your state for students going abroad. Hope this helped!

    Hello Maria,
    I was wondering if you know if it is possible to apply to two different courses at wu. I live in Spain, however I already have a b2 in German. I would love to apply to the English taught program but I know it has a higher demand and my chances of getting in are slimmer. So I would like to know if I can simultaneously also apply to one of the programs taught in german.
    I hope you can answer my question.
    Have a nice day,
    Emma

      Hello Emma, yes, you can! You can even study both programs if you get accepted to both🤓 (but it will require some exceptional organizational skills to create the schedule and study both degrees at once)
      My classmate and I did a livestream about BBE vs WISO (the german-taught economics bachelor's program) where she explained how those programs differ because she studies both of them at the same time
      Here is the link to the livestream: instagram.com/tv/CSXNFnlCS3l/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

    To be honest Austria and mainly Austrian universities make it hard for non EU citizens to join them😒 , I wouldn’t recommend

    • @mariakremneva1664
      @mariakremneva1664  Год назад

      Hello, while of course non-EU students who want to apply to a university in an EU country have to deal with bureaucracy (translation&legalization (apostille) of documents) and might need to take the supplementary examination if their high school certificate is not "equal" to the Austrian one, I would say those requirements are pretty logical and it is clear why they are in place.
      So my advice would be: when you are changing the place of studies&life you will have to be patient, create checklists with deadlines for everything you have to do, and get going! It might not be easy but I would say it is worth it
      Because even though it is harder for non-EU students in the visa/document aspect (which again, makes sense why), WU nevertheless has students from over 100 countries!

      @@mariakremneva1664 i did actually apply to many universities in different countries, but it was only with the Austrian authorities requirements that i found it hard to be . The thing is that they favour the EU Citizens even though knowing that our education system in my home country is far better.

    Hello please can I apply for bachelors when I already have a degree kn my home country, if yes do I need to submit my degree documents?

    • @mariakremneva1664
      @mariakremneva1664  Год назад +1

      Hello, yes of course! I know a few people who decided to get a bachelor's in Austria when they were already studying or even graduated from a university back home.
      During the admission (and in some universities the selection procedure) procedure you will be required to submit either your university degree or your secondary school leaving certificate. Both work (as far as I know and based on the experience of my students, please check your university's of choice requirements)!
      My friend from India, when he was going through the admission procedure at WU submitted his Business Administration bachelor's because the process of legalization was easy for it.
      Note: please check all the deadlines regarding when you need to present what. Because for example at WU you need to present the secondary school leaving certificate or a university certificate ONLY in the case of acceptance to the program based on the entrance exam's score, you will know the results somewhere in the middle of July or even earlier, and the deadline for presenting the documents is 5th of September or 31st of October in case of an extended enrollment period.
      AND check if you need to translate/legalize/apostille it before presenting it.
      Best of luck with your academic journey! Hope I could clear things up for you;)

      I have almost graduated from the Bachelor of Business and Economics program at WU and after the main program phase there were opportunities to choose accounting-related specializations for the second half of your studies, which I did;) I chose the Strategy and Managerial Accounting Specialization and it went great! There were also a few more related to accounting. So I would say any business/economics related univerisity will give you the opportunity to gain accounting-related knowledge.
      You must also take into account the following criteria:
      1) Place. How far away it is from your home? Is it convenient to live there? How are the living costs there?
      2) Your budget. The prices of univeristy education can range from 20-750 euros per semester (half a year) and go up to thousands for private unis (3000-30 000).
      3) The curriculum of the program. Every university has a description of the programs they offer, and you can also look at the subjects that are going to be taught there. And based on how relevant most of them are for you, make the decision!

    • @mariakremneva1664
      @mariakremneva1664  2 года назад

      Hello, you CANNOT do a "parallel transfer" from your current university semester to the same semester at WU BBE. You have to take the entrance exam to that program, which is very competitive (240 spots for approx. 2400 applicants in 2022), and in case you get admitted, you have to start from the 1st semester, just like everybody else, even the students who were studying in EU or Austria at a uni already. What you can do is automatically complete some subjects, if they meet the criteria. For example, if you had Microeconomics at your uni with the same number of credit hours or ECTS as at WU, you can contact the professor and you will automatically complete the course with the grade you scored at your uni and you will not need to take the same course at WU again.

    Hello
    Im from morocco i want to apply for the bachelor of business administration in english i have b2 in english but im scared from the osa exam or what they called him please it’s difficult or easy for a foreign student?

    • @mariakremneva1664
      @mariakremneva1664  Год назад

      The OSA (online self assessment (exam IS NOT GRADED (WU also states that on their website). IT IS JUST FOR YOU TO SEE if your expectations about the program correspond to the reality. It will have some questions about the program and then show you explanations of how it really is, some logic/IQ test questions, and finally a few english, math and economics questions. BUT THE RESULT YOU GET IS JUST FOR YOU TO SEE YOUR APPROXIMATE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE. AND EVEN IF YOU DONT DO GREAT ON IT, IT DOESNT MEAN THAT YOU WILL ALSO DO BAD ON THE EXAM. IT HAPPENED TO SOME PEOPLE THAT THEY WERE A BIT CONFUSED ABOUT THE OSA QUESTIONS BUT THEY DID WELL ON THE ENTRANCE EXAM AND GOT ACCEPTED.
      OSA is just a step you just need to complete (along with the short motivation statement) until the end of May in order to get the entrance exam invitation (BASED ON WHICH YOU GET ACCEPTED OR NOT), and that exam is indeed difficult ;) (and it is very competitive, in 2022 there were around 2400 applicants for 240 spots as announced by WU) that is why I made a preparation course (www.bbe-exam.com/) and an exam simulation (www.bbe-simulation.com/) to help students prepare for it🤓
