Can you help a confused person over here out? 😅 I was wondering if FH is considered a university at all. The answers on the Internet are quite different. Is it more of a "college" place or it has a university accreditation? Thanks for your videos Maria, they're incredibly helpful! ❤️

I asked my German language teacher who is from Austria today and she told me that FH is a university and it also gets you a university degree (the only difference is it will say Bachelor FH or Bachelor at a uni of applied sciences, but nobody cares about it). It is different from a university in the structure of the studies, at a uni you have a lot of freedom on when and which courses to register for, whereas at a FH the schedule is fixed and made for you and you cannot really deviate from it. There is also a meme which says: Do you want to graduate in 6 semesters (3 years)? Yes-> go to FH, No-> go to uni. Because at uni students can take more than 6 semester to finish the degree since they are responsible for the schedule themselves. With freedom comes responsibility I would say;)

Hello, I am NOT studying at FH des BFI Wien, I am studying at WU, therefore, I cannot give you an answer to that question because I am not familiar with how the selection procedure is carried out at FH des BFI Wien. But I would assume the acceptance will be based mostly on the entrance exam the interview guests talk about
