For the nuclear key card cargo bot. If you leave the nuclear keycard and server hop the quest will still be active. So you don't need to go back to the bunker. As long as you server hop before the cargo bot explodes. Track, shoot, loot (except for keycard) hop, rinse and repeat. Edit: If after server hopping and the quest isn't active. It is because someone already took out the cargo bot. Hop again.
Just 425 in 4 years? That's really not a lot. I have thousands of them, they are rather common drops if you aren't spending all day farming West Tek; they have a drop rate of ~15% from ghouls and seem to drop almost as often from Scorched, with raiders, Blood Eagles and containers also dropping the occasional requisition holotape. The only disappointing part is that they changed the enemies spawning at the relay towers from Scorched to robots, so you're no longer walking away from the relay with more tapes than you arrived with.
A couple things to mention: 1) You can find requisition drops from random containers as well as on ghoul bodies. 2) Supposedly the brotherhood initiate camp companion might get the plans in his inventory occasionally
Had to look that companion up. Turns out he was a free atomic shop companion from many months back. I missed him, and now have no idea how to GET him...

Watch for color bats. This is a common farming ground for bats as well. Well they lost their color when looking at it so you have to equip it to see the color.
Working on only 150 of them right now (I dumped around 200 a year a go - punch in groin). Tough grind indeed! Would recommend if you have 1st to go private server to avoid being pvp-ed ~ just in case. Good luck/grind!
@@SplizzGun-fr5yt It's helpful to be in the harder region for higher level drops - or at least that's what I've noticed. The one toward the center-bottom of the map has been a decent goto. But it is still a 0.5% likelihood of getting a new plan for the gatling plasma. Good hunting!
As a returning player, havent played since last year, what I really need is a guide on end game activities. Like the different currencies, the best things to spend them on. When to scrap a legendary or scrip it. And just how I should be going about trying to get the 3 (or 4 star) gear I need. I knew some of this when I played last, but I didn't know it all, and I've forgotten most of it lol.
You can only get 4 star mods from the new raids and they are no joke. You need to be tanky and full health with some good PA. Preferably a full set of overeaters. Go through Turtles videos because he covers most everything you need to know about end game content. Scrap legendarys that have good effects that you want to craft and put on your weapons. I usually save some 3 star legendarys in my stash to scrip daily and I scrap the rest. Depends on how much you play though. A good way to get plenty of legendarys is through expeditions. The best one to do is Atlantic City, the boardwalk I think it’s called. Learn how to do it and do it with others and you can knock 5 or more out in an hour and leave with 5 legendary items each time.
I am in your exact position. I just came back after like a year and a half break and I had no idea what to do. I was overwhelmed. One of my high-ranking buddies told me to scrap everything i have basically for a chance to get drops or learn how to craft the mods but after some research I found that just doing the raid and completing the first stage after defeating that bot turret you can just exit out and go back and complete that first stage over and over again to farm the couple modules it gives you and you can farm your Foyr Star legendary mod that way. The key is getting tanky friends to help you do that. Now that brings me here because in order to do the raids you yourself have to be super tanky. So I already got a four-star on my vampire Gatling plasma which will help with HP and I'm working on getting the new mods for the gatling plasma which brings me here. There's a lot of pre-set up you have to do before you go into the raids to farm. Turtle has a video on a tank build but it is for the entire raid which I don't plan on doing anytime soon and I'm a level 350. There's so much preset up you have to do and to find find guys that'll go through the raid with you is going to be tough unless you're lucky enough to have friends that grind like that but I'm just focused on getting the first stage done defeating the pot turret. If you're on Xbox we can link up and work together since I'm about 4 days ahead of you and getting back into the game
A good rule of thumb I use: If I want the effect, it gets scrapped. If not, I turn it in for scrip. Once I max out scrip for the day, I stash the rest to scrip the next day.

The only one I’ve gotten so far is the swift core receptacle mod. And that’s from going between the bog stations and the mire station. UPDATE: I was just server hopping and I got the gamma wave emitter, flamer nozzle and the accelerated nozzle.
Thanks for the video turtle!! I was looking arounr last night for videos on this and couldnt find anything good. I finally got around to doing raids and finally wanted to make a good gatling plasma.
Ok, observations after 4 nights of grinding for these plans and mods: 1. All train stations in the Savage Divide (Except Whitesprings which does not sell mods) can have Gatling Plasma mods, as can the Mire station, and the Cranberry Bog station plus the Watoga vendorbot. I have found mods at all of them. 2. The Daily quest Cop A Squatter can drop a gatling plasma mod box. 3. I think there is a small chance to find the mod boxes loose in the world just like the Enclave Plasma Gun mod boxes. 4. In 4 nights I have only had a single plan drop from nuclear keycard bots - the chance is stupidly low. If you don't have good RNG, just farm mod boxes. Since everyone is doing it now, it's also very nearly impossible to initiate the quest to get the keycard escort on a public server - to get around this, start the quest on a private server. Check the cargo drop, then immediately hop to another server without taking out the nuclear key card - this will make the quest resume on another server. Long as you check the box and keep hopping without taking the key out or the 5 minute timer blowing up the box, you can repeat this easily many times. Eventually you will land on a server where someone else has downed the bot and the box has exploded, and you can't start a new quest. Just go back to your private server to start the quest again. This is by far the fastest way to farm the plans, but at the absolutely miniscule drop chance, it will still take you forever unless you are incredibly lucky. 5. (Edit) - I have since gotten a plan from Collision Course. People seem to be having slightly more success with this than any other method. Finally, I have an extra few mod boxes (2x Calibrated Capacitor, 1x Large Core, 1x Rifled Barrel, 1x Stinging Core, 2x Beam Focuser) - I want an Accelerated Nozzle box, and will trade any of my other mod boxes for one. If you are interested send me a message and we'll set it up. :) Happy hunting!

I did the US Gov't Supply Drop 3 times today at the very same tower you showed and it's frustrating waiting for the thing to arrive. You just keep looking up at the sky and ten minutes later, it eventually appears.
I learnd of these new mods for the Gatlin plasma earler today and found this video showing how to get it. Tried the cargobot and got the accelerated nozzle on the first try, Very lucky. Gonna try to get the other mods am missing so that will probably take quite awhile. Great video showing all this :D
Exactly it was my first good weapon and I will always hate commando heavy guns and auto axes are my favorite thing ever paired with good spec strangler heart I die everyone once and a while when I get hit by a bunch of stuff in daily opps mutated sometimes
I run 3 heavy guns, Holy Fire, Final Word and an ultracite Quad Gatling plasma. Today census violence kept glitching and I was attacked by 6 matriarch deathclaws, one after another, followed by a blue devil. My Gatling plasma barely dented any of the enemies. My Holy Fire, on the other hand, burned through them like they were made of marshmallow. I NEED the Gatling plasma mods.

It's a grind for sure spent a total of 8+ hours grinding an I still track one down after each raid. I have gathered so far:calibrated, gamma wave, accelerated, swift recepticle and just got stinging last night
Claim that Bill Lawson will sometimes have the plans in his list of items, I just placed them on my camp and I have seen plans on him, but not the new Gattlin plasma mod
Does it still break ridiculously fast tho? That's one of the main reasons I don't like the gat plas, the other being the heavy recoil. In my experience it'll either break during or be close to breaking after *1* sbq fight. Dunno about you, but having to repair my boss killer that often kinda bothers me. Gauss mini on the other hand seems to rarely if ever break as well as having much more manageable recoil.
Yep, still brakes crazy fast even with the durability added 😩. Gauss Mini is all I need. I solo farm the first raid boss with it with sub 3 minute clears so its more than enough for me.
So the day of the update...my base is pretty much right beside the bunker and when I fast traveled back to my base I noticed my heavy lasers shooting at something flying. Run over to a box that drops, and here's this magical upgrade for my Plassy inside. I literally had no idea this was what was going on....😖 now I feel bad for that person. But leave it to Bethesda to tell people nothing, and expect everyone to learn from RUclipsr's hard work and videos
It does break quick on boss fights. It doesn’t need repair much doing raids though. I use my AA Ex GP for everything. I use holy fire from time to time but the GP is my go to for any and everything.
Found this out last night while farming the nuke cargo bot. This is the best way to farm it as it will always be up as long as you never loot the nuke card. Start a private world pick up the quest, find the cargo bot and patrol take them out, check for plan do not loot the nuke card. Leave the private world and start up the custom world when it says creating the custom world back out. This allows you to start a fresh private world. Enter new private world open quests track cargo bot travel to location kill check for plans do not loot nuke card. Repeat.
I really like my plasma caster for the amount of ammo never going down . But the Raids proved this weapon ineffective. So my Auto Axe plasma caster every day build is going to get a complete revamp for Raids and my main weapons will be Anti armor Gatling Plasma and Vamp bash shedder.

Is it worth switching all heavy guns from Anti armour, Explosive, reload sees to Anti armour. Crit damage, negative ap? Been mainly using the Gauss minigun Gatling plasma and cremator
I got a gatling plasma mod plan from the first drop in the Collision Course Event. Not sure if I was just extremely lucky or that may have a good drop rate.
Someone I played a raid with today said the gauss minigun seems to be best on the first raid boss, the turret, as the explosion damage seemed to do respectable damage to the turret even when the shield was still up.
Have been grinding nuclear card bots all night with no success, but at the risk of giving away one of the few spots that doesn't seem to be getting hammered for mod boxes, the Mire station did have a Gatling Plasma calibrated capacitor mod. Now if only my luck would improve...
If you can get Lucky Vulcan Power Arnor with Scanners and eat an 8 Luck food, you have all the reason in the world to use Calibrated. Im running Explosive with standard until i can manage.
I was farming first boss, i got a rubbish gat plas and didn't think to check, i scrapped it to get the mods unlocked and it unlocked flamer nozzle! So look at any gat plas guns you get from the raids because they're dropping with the new mods 😅
even when going with a full crit build is the prime capacitor still better than the new calibrated capacitor? just wondering if its worth server hopping for lol

@@OPA_Ceres Might be map region then. There are no radio towers in Cranberry bog, so maybe that's why you didn't get any from that region. Try Savage Divide or Forest region. Edit: Opened 15 each from forest and divide and haven't got any this time
Were are the mods, only from raids... i put a 4 **** on today has +50 poison.. not seen any plans for the weapon. So my setup is bloody, Explosive, 50% Durability need this, and the 4th is +50% poison.
Opened 150 US government supply requisitions. Nothing fell on Gatling plasma. I called two bots at a time, while one flies to the cargo drop site, I inspect the second, and call again if it is empty.
No it inaccessible. Have 0ver 100 Bobby pins. It just sitting on the flat bed truck with the red smoke but like other supply drop I can't access this one. Say I need a key or something don't remember what it said I needed so I just forgot it till I end up fast traveling of just stumbled upon that place . And the supply box red smoke kill all the enemies. None have anything to open .
I managed to get the flamer barrel mod by scraping a random Gat plasma I found. I'm case if anyone's wondering you CAN NOT get them by crafting and scraping (I mean obviously right? 😂 Because you only have existing mods). Cheers guys!! Happy hunting 🎉🎉
servers and nugs are too unreliable to use vats. its just less of a hassle to use power armor + aa ffr = 95% armor piercing, then add accelerated nozle on top of ffr, use large mag 750. later add 4 start 60% weapon damage and on armor 5x 4 star ranged mods.
Boost crit damage. The accelerated nozzle gives the rapid effect without needing the legendary effect. If they stack, which idk either way, they server would probably not keep up calculating the damage correctly anyway.
I rolled a bloodied gatling with +50 crit & 50 damage resistance & 50 damage resistance while aiming if anyone wants it, I don't run bloodied, so, i won't use it. If you're newer & would like it, I would love to give it to you :) I will probably scrap it in the next day or two if no one takes me up on it, so just let me know!

i was just doing the Nuke Keycards, and stopped to do the Daily Quest Cop a Squatter, and got the Stinging core as a loose mod as a reward!

Does it still break ridiculously fast tho? That's one of the main reasons I don't like the gat plas, the other being the heavy recoil. In my experience it'll either break during or be close to breaking after *1* sbq fight.
Dunno about you, but having to repair my boss killer that often kinda bothers me.
Gauss mini on the other hand seems to rarely if ever break as well as having much more manageable recoil.
Yep, still brakes crazy fast even with the durability added 😩. Gauss Mini is all I need.
I solo farm the first raid boss with it with sub 3 minute clears so its more than enough for me.
I ran a few raids without needing to repair it, the raids themselves provided way more repair kits than I needed.
So the day of the update...my base is pretty much right beside the bunker and when I fast traveled back to my base I noticed my heavy lasers shooting at something flying. Run over to a box that drops, and here's this magical upgrade for my Plassy inside. I literally had no idea this was what was going on....😖 now I feel bad for that person. But leave it to Bethesda to tell people nothing, and expect everyone to learn from RUclipsr's hard work and videos
It does break quick on boss fights. It doesn’t need repair much doing raids though. I use my AA Ex GP for everything. I use holy fire from time to time but the GP is my go to for any and everything.
I love my gauss mini to but it burns through ammo so fast I don’t like it. I have plenty of junk, I just don’t like to burn through it that fast.

Broomstick is an amazing weapon for farming the cargo bots (two shot and damage while aiming).
Found this out last night while farming the nuke cargo bot. This is the best way to farm it as it will always be up as long as you never loot the nuke card.
Start a private world pick up the quest, find the cargo bot and patrol take them out, check for plan do not loot the nuke card.
Leave the private world and start up the custom world when it says creating the custom world back out. This allows you to start a fresh private world.
Enter new private world open quests track cargo bot travel to location kill check for plans do not loot nuke card.
Repeat.

I really like my plasma caster for the amount of ammo never going down . But the Raids proved this weapon ineffective. So my Auto Axe plasma caster every day build is going to get a complete revamp for Raids and my main weapons will be Anti armor Gatling Plasma and Vamp bash shedder.
Shredder is huge for the unkillable moles. You just let it rip to constantly stagger them

Is it worth switching all heavy guns from Anti armour, Explosive, reload sees to Anti armour. Crit damage, negative ap? Been mainly using the Gauss minigun Gatling plasma and cremator

I got a gatling plasma mod plan from the first drop in the Collision Course Event. Not sure if I was just extremely lucky or that may have a good drop rate.

Someone I played a raid with today said the gauss minigun seems to be best on the first raid boss, the turret, as the explosion damage seemed to do respectable damage to the turret even when the shield was still up.
It's slightly better until you have the new mods for the Gatling Plasma.
Have been grinding nuclear card bots all night with no success, but at the risk of giving away one of the few spots that doesn't seem to be getting hammered for mod boxes, the Mire station did have a Gatling Plasma calibrated capacitor mod. Now if only my luck would improve...

If you can get Lucky Vulcan Power Arnor with Scanners and eat an 8 Luck food, you have all the reason in the world to use Calibrated. Im running Explosive with standard until i can manage.
Hit over 200 supply drops so far an got non of the new plans, learned flamer from scrapping after about 10 so that was pretty easy
I was farming first boss, i got a rubbish gat plas and didn't think to check, i scrapped it to get the mods unlocked and it unlocked flamer nozzle! So look at any gat plas guns you get from the raids because they're dropping with the new mods 😅

@@OPA_Ceres Might be map region then. There are no radio towers in Cranberry bog, so maybe that's why you didn't get any from that region. Try Savage Divide or Forest region. Edit: Opened 15 each from forest and divide and haven't got any this time

Were are the mods, only from raids... i put a 4 **** on today has +50 poison.. not seen any plans for the weapon. So my setup is bloody, Explosive, 50% Durability need this, and the 4th is +50% poison.

Opened 150 US government supply requisitions. Nothing fell on Gatling plasma. I called two bots at a time, while one flies to the cargo drop site, I inspect the second, and call again if it is empty.

No it inaccessible. Have 0ver 100 Bobby pins. It just sitting on the flat bed truck with the red smoke but like other supply drop I can't access this one. Say I need a key or something don't remember what it said I needed so I just forgot it till I end up fast traveling of just stumbled upon that place . And the supply box red smoke kill all the enemies. None have anything to open .
I've just burned my way through 36 supply requisition tapes and nothing. 😮 I have 70 more to go through today.

When you dont want to use power armour with stabilised. I personally prefer vampires, bloodied or two shot for tagging.
servers and nugs are too unreliable to use vats. its just less of a hassle to use power armor + aa ffr = 95% armor piercing, then add accelerated nozle on top of ffr, use large mag 750. later add 4 start 60% weapon damage and on armor 5x 4 star ranged mods.
You went from Rapid to vital for the two star, is there a reaaon why?
Boost crit damage. The accelerated nozzle gives the rapid effect without needing the legendary effect. If they stack, which idk either way, they server would probably not keep up calculating the damage correctly anyway.

I rolled a bloodied gatling with +50 crit & 50 damage resistance & 50 damage resistance while aiming if anyone wants it, I don't run bloodied, so, i won't use it. If you're newer & would like it, I would love to give it to you :) I will probably scrap it in the next day or two if no one takes me up on it, so just let me know!

3 star Power User card perk in Intelligence does all the difference, double fusion core durations applies to VATS drains also
