I made a discovery last night doing the first boss. I was doing the no shield cheese since I can down him in 1 phase afterwards, but there is an even EASIER method than any method in this video and all you Auto Axers will appreciate it that doesn't require PA or wiping.
The middle of the gaurdians character model DOES NOT have death touch. You can stand directly in the middle of the bot. Only the outer ring has the auto kill.
The method is more or less the same. Use Bullet Shield and Ricochet to deflect bullets and take down the gaurdians shield. Next, just jump into the very center of the bot. You will be either standing on top of him or inside his character model. I'm not sure why sometimes you're able to stand on him and others you go through him. It just works. If you die doing this, you didn't jump far enough to the center, but don't worry, because you just activated the shield cheese for your next attempt. This makes this method the ultimate cheese because it has that safety net should you fail.
Once you are safely standing in or on the gaurdian, go nuts with Auto Axe. It's a free 1 phase kill with Glowing Meat Steaks and Carnivore. If you need a Glowing Meat Steak, just go outside and kill the Mole Miners before entering the raid.
I did this method probably 50 times last night in my private server, so don't worry, it's not a method created by server lag in public servers. Almost poetically, I got Combo Breaker from my first run with this method and made it even easier since I was no longer combating my own AP.

i discovered that myself and did best i coud before they patch it. i tested troubleshooters, aa, bloodied and executioners autoaxe. if u have full bloodied melee build with best foods, go for bloodied, cuz in fiirst 4 secods bot takes extra 50% damage. if u dont have best foods, like i did, go for executioner. aa is the worst of the three. depending on ur build u can 1 fase bot without any buffs. psychobuff, endangerol syringer and mutan hound stew (50% melee dam. wes tek has 15 mutant hounds) just makes is few seconds faster. also troubleshooters PA makes it faster cuz u dont have to die. and gatling gun saves ammo. u dont even need vampire. heal with stimpaks or superstips first few secods when shield is up. on 30% health bloodied its was cheezee peezy

So many of the comments are re-assuring. I really enjoy the game and have reached level 800 over a long period but approach it fairly casual with enjoyment the key factor (Im nearly 60. Age shouldnt be a barrier but obviously is for me). For so many months I treated it as a solo game, then got the enjoyment of teams and groups. At level 800 I get embarrassed so often that my damage is so rubbish in comparison - Im only JUST experimenting with mutations and food buffs !!!!. Anyway glad that people are saying raids are hard. I dipped my toe in once, got killed very quickly 🙂 I know its just practise.

Tried the raid yesterday with a friend and 2 randoms. Everyone got blasted so fast, we couldnt go past the bot. After we wiped the game crashed for us both 😂

You need to sort out your builds. I don't advise running anything except a power armour heavy gunner in the raid tbh. With how badly they nerfed the survivability on non-power armour bloodied builds, it's not even worth showing up with them.
A lot of people are going to need to sort out their builds to get through this. I did this on a bloodied heavy gunner PA build. I was using vampires weapons though. I had overeaters union on. He couldn't kill me, but it wasn't fast. I also had a full team. 2 team mates and a random. One of us was a bloodied commando. She essentially got dragged through the whole raid because she was dead most of the time. If you are bloodied and don't use PA, you aren't getting through this one, unfortunately.
Yup just another garbage end game boss, nothing I'll take place in while all game breaking bugs still exist and players taking advantage of every bug they can find and exploit .
@@VaultTecJepI’ve done the whole thing 7 times, my friend and 2 randoms, no exploits or temporary buffs used by my friend or I lol. Well lunchboxes cause the XP you get is insane.
This strategy works if the server you're on decides to calculate the damage from the deflection and onto the robot itself. Otherwise, you'll be dealing paltry damage down range because the server also likes to gum up the AP refresh rate, causing the bot to have a 4th of it's health left after exhausting the three shelters. Before some smart ass in the comments opens their yap, yes I have an optimal build for this setup.
That said, this is a sound strategy considering no one wants to team up for raids, anyway.
Enough coffee or sunshine oil will override this. You just need fuel and a proper weapon steup, though it might cost you some damage.
Yeah. Games that have gear score rating or something is needed to acclimate players of all skill levels, to these raids. Players are failing because there are playing this content raw with no ladder or work up. They will complain. Any random Joe trying lol.
The power armor tower strat is hilarious, would have never thought to do this. without your raid build id still be struggling. Definately gunna try this out
Managed to solo yesterday with my aa gat plas, after my team died in the first 30 seconds. Was it worth the 80 stims I used? No. Was it bad ass feeling? Yes.

Huge facts. I did the same thing. One dude left during second phase, but the other two toughed it out.
Sadly, you can't do the same during the Titan because his tail is just too tanky to break solo. So when my team immediately dies .1 seconds into the fight, not worth the effort.
Honestly, I'm normally just selling most of my stims, so it's good to know they'll have a use.
When you go full raid, you got much much more stimpacks than the cost of them during the raids. I litterally throw them now
I went through 600+ stims the other day pulling a group through the raid that just kept dieing 😂.
Psa: You can also hide behind PA if you run out of pillars and need to quickly reload or heal 👍

After the first shelter blown the electric absorption legendary perk works pretty good when the guardian laser beaming at you

You don’t need em man. Make a good bloodied build and you’ll survive enough shots to get into cover and stim

@@powreful4972 I don't think so. At not at low health at least. I jumped into a RAID for fun and got instakilled with full OE set of Union PA. I have my perks on point too.

Hey Angry Turtle, just as a side note if you ever get the pounders mod for the auto axe you can actually one phase the robot.

Nobody jas them. Mobody use them. And now when they usable, they gona be nerfed or removed from hame. Bethesda will not allow build variety or speed runs.
Is their damage boosted by demolition expert and/or science perks?

This is excellent advice. Will try this tomorrow. Full Troubleshooters Union PA with a selection of Gat Plasmas. I think I will definitely try my Vampires Gat Plasma first.
Today.... first run thru the Raid: success! I died once during the Crystal stage. Vampire Flamer Gat Plasma was amazing in several stages. Defending the Drill, and melting Lynx. The Snake was.... easy. Not expecting that. Tried one of my various Gat Plasmas for the Snake: AA 50VATS 25ap. No problem. The Drill stage is obviously the WORST.
My advice: once you get thru the full 5.... farm the 1st Robot Stage. Fairly easy with a strong team.
Crazy that they finally put something as a "challenge" in the game and everyone wants it gone. Keep it up turtle.

The problem is, I think, that this whole difficult raid thing is not something that fits into Fallout. Also, it is extremely difficult to create a decent build that fits into raids because of the legendary mods issue. I play Fallout to entertain myself and to clear my mind. To rack my brains with difficult enemies, I play Souls. At least I never asked for something like this

Yeah after 10 years of playing Destiny, doing all the raids and dungeons, being a perpetual sweat in Trials, and all the other stuff along the way, I just can't handle that community anymore. Thankfully I stole me 2 best from Destiny and they are playing 76 with me now so this raid is cake when we play together. We just pick up a rando and carry them lol
Hi Turtle, You can sit inside robot and dont get any electric damage. Centre on platform.
Soloed him 3 times last night with a AA/Explosive/+3 END Gauss Minigun and a OE Union PA Set. Had to go pure VATS during his shield phase, then no VATS when he was vulnerable. Biggest problem with this approach though, is that it blows through Fusion Cores and Canned Coffee like mad. I definitely need a way to get through his shields without VATS.

As of last night I've just been using a Vampire's Faster fire rate Gause minigun with the penta barrel, does good damage and keeps me alive and I'm not even using any of the troubleshooters stuff you recommended.
You can drop an un modded PA chassis on the center of the platform and it’ll remain through the whole event

The other glitch you might try is the old autoaxe with the charisma radiation perk bonus. I think they didn’t patch it yet. This is what used to work on the giant robots in the skyline valley nuke event.

Thanks for the helpful videos. This RAID is the best multiplayer update Bethesda has released so far. It's really fun.
Genuinely enjoy the full raid with a good team, but I pretty consistently crash on the snake. Sad, because it’s easily the most satisfying fight in the game. I changed my entire build and spent ~500 legendary modules just for that one fight, and was 100% worth it.
Any idea what’s causing the crash? I’ve done maybe 20-25 raids now.. never beat the snake. Always crash.
@ No but for me it seems to happen between the first and second tail.
The crashing is atrocious. They really need to fix this.

Next thing you know the devs will nerf it so none of this stuff is needed. The shit players will have the loudest voice, and get it nerfed. … same thing happens in society.

Hey Turtle, I used your build (with moderate alterations), and was able to EASILY farm that giant turret. THANK YOU! Long story short, I do not prefer to use VATS alot, so I wanted to do it outside of VATS. Then I got not 1 but 2 Valkeries! Listen, that Valkerie was designed to smoke robots, specifically outside of VATS. I dont know if you have gotten to use it yet, but combined with a Vamp Minigun to keep that bullet shield up (and free healing), and I am able to take down that robot by myself (which equated to about 6 hours of grinding on Sunday. You should try out The Valkerie, Use it with PsychoBuff or PsychoTats.
Man youre a lifesaver i did only 2 full raids having trouble getting a party done but the melee route with food is a 1 tap phase , got the vulcan already!
I just built a new set of Union PA. 100% troubleshooters. I'm excited to see how much difference it makes.
Vanilla mon mod ultracite with vamp explosive ugl cam keep unalive on full health. But its still faster with 4 pulse nades then 1 yap with auto axe

Cremator will cuase burn damage thru the shield i found, so if your just trying to buy time or find dot dps it works
Edit: last night me and 3 budds got the kill time down under 3 mins using the Endangerol syringe method. Tho 2 of us did most of the damage we were bloodied. Syringe at the beginning, then coordinate before the shield break. We almost finished it off in the first damage phase a couple times

@thelegendazure yeah the damage and time to kill is very slow/low even as a bloodied cremator, but you'll notice the burn status appear and you can just top it off every so often. My first kill was in final phase my team was down and I was running around the room no pillars left to hide behind and I would shoot the cremator every few seconds and then go back to running. It finished off the small amount he had.

Been casually farming this for a few days. Don't have any of the mods required but the perk setup for healing keeps me alive long enough. I use a vampire plasma gat to tank the shield down with reflect, jump onto the boss to die to trigger the "shoot through shield" bug, then hide behind a pillar and kill the boss using one of the many Valkyries that has dropped. Takes about 10 minutes per run including sorting out loot etc. Just need the vulcan PA helmet and I'll stop... (or if they fix all the cheeses)
Finally did it after 3 hours of trying and it was so much fun, love it so much man

I'm a shotgun build and I used my explosive gauss shotgun and it took massive hit points off the robot. We took it out before any room heat up happened.
Even with a full set of troubleshooters and Adelene perk, you’re taking massive damage. Truly challenging
We had fun using a vampire troubleshooter/sentinel setup fighting the first boss. Just stand there and eat attacks as he can't outdamage the health regen. Barely saw our health bars move while he was facing someone
I found out that DOT effects through the shield. You can use Vampires cremator when deflecting shield and you’ll do DOT dmg to the bot
i went in with my team of bad asses and we got to the power armor/generator guys. raids are haaaard!
I got to the mole minors then stoped to stressful for me
If you are 3 assign each one to one specific generator and stay by the generator, they will come to you, if you all keep to hold the generators down you will finish them in like 4 to 5 minutes, me and my team are doing this and so far 7 runs no issue, most difficult stage is the drill hands down all rest are easy, with the 1st and the 4th been the easiest imo.
What this guy said👆 and use auto axe to do your damage on the power armor enemies. Ridiculously fast

I dunno, bot just annihilates me in a second in strangler heart pa. The idea of getting a specific setup just for one boss (or phase I suppose) does not goes well with me, that farm does not look like it is valuable investment of time
Overeaters ap refresh sentinels T-65 paired with an AA 2525 primed Gat Plas on a bloody heavy crit build can carry you through the entire raid. A quad gamma gun will make stage 3 a cakewalk and using a flamer weapon on stage 4 crystals is best. The only micromanaging needed is rad adjustment according to which stage you're in.

Any damage res mod is fine as long as you have it on all armor pieces. Ricochet and bullet shield lvl 1 is fine. Troubleshooter explosive on heavy gun preferred if you can spam stimpacks. Mission time depends on your damage

Today I was with a random Dude, who I first Phase 3 Times solo, one Phase(No shelter needed, lol) like a sherpa for us blueberrys. Right after that I did 3 full runs with a random Team. I was without power armor and only died 1 out of 3 at endboss(first try survived) . That 3 dudes were amazing, we shredded that Raid. 4 Star drop rate is better than expected. I will try that solo, with pa tomorrow, should already have that Recipe for trouble shoter. The bot reminds me on Kali.
But do you know what the pannels under him do. If you stand on the dimond plate they open and you can break whats inside. But we haven't been able to figure out what that does yet.

Have you noticed this: something odd I discovered about the turret boss in my MANY fights with it, when the shield drops, outside of VATS, you do more damage shooting the torso in different spots! Example: When the shield dropped I was hitting it with the Valkerie (Such an awesome gun!), and some spots I was doing 474 per hit, in other spots on the chest (robot's right torso area that connects to his right shoulder) I was doing 600-700 dmg! After the first heatwave, his FACE was the weakspot, I was doing 630ish damage to his face, everywhere else is 474. Weird.
I think vampire and reflection will tank this boss quite well
There must be one lootbag skin left with collision, perhaps you could drop something on the power armor before it disappears? So you can get back to meleeing the robot

Not sure if its a bug or feature but if you do jump and land on the top of the robot you dont die so long as you are inside the robot. You can also still shoot the shield from within the robot and melee when the shield is gone

I can't keep the shredder going, it keeps stopping and doesn't spin back up fast enough. The melee method sucks for me.
Pulse grenades, auto axe, tesla cannon super stims and grape nuka cola for full health builds.

I've been through the whole raid. It's fun, but I noticed a lot of people have problems with the final boss because of the tail.

Hang on if trouble shooters is -15% damage on each peice 5/5 thats equal to 75% damage reduction + plus Adelaide additinal 25% damage reduction, shouldnt this then be 100% damage reduction?
No.. Just a number only... They have cap.. I think 90% only...
I did a variation of the heavy cheese that involved Vamps Gat Plas instead of Tesla Cannon since I don’t have it yet. Same concept of using Bullet Shield and Ricochet to take out the shield. It pretty much ensures you don't need to panic about your health when combined wirh Medic Pump and Born Survivor. I however am not using Troubleshoots, just a full Overeaters Hellcat set. I do use one of the magazines that reduce Robot damage to get an extra 25% damage mitigation. DPS weapon is a AA/E/50Dur Gat Plas. More or less, same results.
But the melee cheese is hilarious and I'm totally doing that until that gets patched out. Lol
I don't know if they can patch it. To be honest, I'd call it prep time, and I could see some Raiders figuring something like this out in realtime. It's the drug fueled madness I expect out of the wasteland.

All they gotta do is make it so you can't place power armor on the outside of the platform and poof. No more melee cheese. The auto shield down bug after dying and respawning will also most likely get patched, but holy crap I hope it doesn't.
Had fun today running it with 2 other parties. Gonna miss that when they fix it..

Last night i was eager to try this method, but i had no TShooter PA set at my disposal and was greedy enough not to put it toghether from my LModule reservers so i decided to use my trusty Overeatrer/END/Sentinel set instead. Since i was stationary most of the time it worked at same way as TShooter set and results were same. I was bit clumsy and toke me lot more time to do it at first try but at the end the job where done.
Seeing this method im wondering : is it possible to use PA frames in simmilar manner to make walls in Phase 2 : somehow to block the Mole Miners spawn points or to lock on one place the Glowing OHK'ing Mole Miner ?

What legendary perks are you using?
How is overeaters performing compared to troubleshoters? Is peppershaker still a valid option for destroying the shield?
no neither works
Troubleshooter gives you the most resistance vs the bot, overeaters is good in general but specifically trouble is better here. I don't think the peppershaker is very good I'm noticing more players with gat plasmas and gauss miniguns.
Blew through entire raid except last part, so many crashes and glitches and in the end we one because the terror glitched out. Hollow victory.
I used the build with vamp mini gun and then the new valkyrie once shields down..I managed it solo as the new gun shreds this thing if you mod it for faster fire... thx Turtle great job.. i just gotta get through the rest now 😅

Does Troubleshooter's P.A. supersede the advice you gave several weeks back, that Overeater's is preferred over "enemy-specific" protection?
I only ask because at the time I had a set of Trouble shooter's to use for Encrypted when I heard you say that Overeater's is better than any effect that pertains to a specific enemy (scorched, ghouls, robots, etc.) I realize that tactics change with each new update and want to ensure I'm remaining current.
The difference is that overeater is a smaller percentage to damage in general which is better for any other scenario, while troubleshooter is a higher percentage to only robots. You want the higher percentage in this instance because it's only a robot.
Also, switch to overeater after the robot fight because troubleshooters is not helpful past the first stage

If you can get a team that can do the second stage the other stages are pretty much gravy. Nobody wants to do the spooky tunnels :)

Went into the raid two days ago. PA user with a full team of rando PA users. I managed to keep the big fella aggro’d on me and just kept jumping side to side. Barely landed any hits on me. 3 super stimpacks used in that run’s 1st stage.
I did jump-straffing and finished him alone. 😁

Not using mods and I don't see two health bars like you have shown. Is that a setting?
Raids are a PUG nightmare. Finally, I got to the third part two days ago. Defended drill with regenerating t51b and the holy fire. Had to farm modules yesterday, going to upgrade my stranglethorn. That should help well defending the drill and taking out the med bots in stage 3 as well.

@rham581bthe raids aren't that hard. The only problem is teams not being used to the mechanics and there's not enough coordination. That's they only reason it's taking so long. I've been on teams and played all stages but my current mission is stage three. So, yeah, it's a PUG nightmare.

Excellent! Question though for @angry_turtle why not use a Troubleshooters Gatling Plasma and Alternate that with a Vampires Gatling Plasma? Vs Vampire Mini-gun and AA Gatling Plasma?
I'm thinking full troubleshooters set with luck 2* will make first boss an absolute snore lol those deflection perks are super strong I was surprised

Like he said mostly just take off your radiation. Of course if you're out of the nerd rage threshold then it won't do anything anymore so switch that for at least first aid and whatever else you want to swap for in INT, if you use serendipity/evasive then they are no good in power armor so switch those for ricochet/born survivor and change out radicool for any of the good perks now in END, worst case iron stomach. Damage is not so bad. I was using a bloodied holy fire and was still doing good damage to him at full health in my first few runs. I only just switched it to anti armor for extra effect but you can do damage without bloodied/adrenal/nerd rage.

there's only torso and shield
There are 4 panels under the bot, if you take them out as he's coming up he malfunctions and can't target you with his missles

Man I need to max out my perk cards before I even consider doing these raid events, should've spent more points on my perk cards instead of modules lol.

It really does depend on how else you're mitigating damage, but with the right equipment 3 pieces *can* be sufficient. For example, I am able to solo the first stage without any PA or troubleshooters, but it requires being full health, having a crit-focused build with a vampire's weapon, using Dodgy, Evasive, Born Survivor, Field Surgeon, and First Aid (to name a few) and a few stacks of sunshine oil. My armor was Unyielding (and useless because of my high health) but my second-stars were a mix of Powered and Hardy. I also had to run around to avoid missiles, which was tedious. If you need the plan/boxes for Troubleshooter's, I'd recommend crafting & scrapping a bunch of Mechanic's Best Friend

I’m doing the same auto axe damage WITH perks and buffs (~400ish) solo that you’re displaying WITHOUT perks. Were you using taking one for the team? Or some other shared perk from your teammates
Me and my bro did stage 1 fairly simply just aggro shoot the yellow canisters on its back from each side of room. We didnt know where to go when it was "getting hot" so we died.😂

One server I found had over 20 people in one raid… I don’t want to ask how they did it but we cleared 3 raids back to back without loosing
Saw someone using a tactic to get eight people in a vid yesterday - full team enters, team leader leaves group (but stays in the room!) and forms new team, one person joins old team and three more join new team, suddenly there are two teams in the same instance. Hoping this doesn't get patched in the future, as it's exactly the sort of outside-the-box group tactics that the game generally encourages.
Same can be done with Earl.
