I bought the ring variant of this mount because they are the only quality made rings that have a cantilever built into them. They are truly fantastic and beautiful as well. I was a little skeptical about the angled mounting points at first but I have never had a problem with them in the roughly year and a half I've had them. Even if I was building a more "tactical" rifle I would still be inclined to use the hunting rings just because they look so good. And as we all know looking good is the most important thing.
Rocki you have done me in. I successfully talked myself out of buying a Sako AIII rifle, in part because it had some no-brand crappy scope rings on it. Now all I can see is the Spuhr Hunting Rings. Damn you! 😜
@@CDOES it’s a late 1970s Sako in .270 Winchester with a 22” barrel and full length Mannlicher stock. I know that a Tikka T3X is an excellent modern rifle - one of the best. However, this older Sako has soul. It fits my hands and shoulders perfectly. So I bought it.
Use rosin, much more like anti-slip than adhesive. Mostly recommended for hard action rifle (like thrown in a truck, falling on rock…) For the regular shooting field guy, not necessary.
I mean.. at that weight it's within an ounce of the Aero ultralight- and MUCH nicer. If it were cantilever I could put that on my 20" lightweight precision AR.
Btw. You legit look NOTHING like I thought you did. Haha sorry to say but you’re much more handsome than I ever imagined. 😅 it’s a compliment in an odd dig sort of way and I’m Sorry for that but hey. Look at you! What a pleasant surprise 😂😂😂
Love these spuhr hunting mounts. I have them on all my hunting rifles. I have never had a problem with them holding zero.
Wonderful to hear.

A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

Thanks for the review, and showing your scope mount platform, always wonder what you used. SCP-3001 does has accessory mounting location.
very good
Gorgeous mount however is there an option they offer that mounts directly to the receiver?
I never thought I’d describe a scope mount as “pretty” but here we are.
It's a thing of beauty
To me that also doesn’t apply here
A Mc Donald's sauce holder? Someone's been watching PSR I see.
I have been looking for this type of mount for my tikka battue custom build.
Have the hunting individual rings holding my S&B on my JP Sauer rifle They are spectacular
Oh good to know they make separate rings as well. This mount is elegant - I like it!
😍
So the grooves are for glue? What sort of adhesive
Would someone use for a scope?
In Germany most gunsmiths use UHU endfest 3000 for mounting scope bases and scopes. Any regular 2 component epoxy should be good.

I’d stay away from epoxy.
Lol I'm not sure if the title of this video is a low key SPC foundation reference.
Then again, I am a huge nerd.
I guess i am not the only one noticed it
same
Fit for a nice Swarovski
Would there be much difference between this hunting mount and the normal Spuhr tatical mount for a heavy optic like the 30x Optika 6?

They make a cantilever version
Very expensive was my firs thought on spuhr
I just wish they make them in 1.70 height.
Try anti gravity mounts

When I hear Spuhr mount I immediately think marketing and sales people doing their job to charge you as much as possible for a $60 part.
I think 💵
Unfortunate choice of model number scheme
Idk I’m sure it’s great but something about the styling is off putting to me
you know your shit is ugly when you have to introduce a whole new product line. I would never use a spuhr mount. they are uggggly.
