It is not every lady who would go to this extent to spend some time outdoors with her beau. I would have to say,"Sandra is definitely a Keeper". Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy. Sorry, but I won't be asking to join you any time soon. BRAVO.
Thanks leslie! Sandra loves camping out as much as I do, she's awesome!
lets look again. hug kids thank for the fun :)
Hi.
It is so natural, so Christmas card, so clear that I think that I am with you guys, camping.
This is your gift, your mystery. You are teachers. You developed a relationship with your viewers, that not other video makers has.
You both, because of your simplicity, your inocense, your way of doing the tasks and chores, allowing others to see, that we can do a similar experience.
Great video, thanks.
From Nevada, blessings, Pappi.
Thank you very much Papi, we really enjoyed that trip. One of our favourite ones from last winter.
Thumbs-up for the keeping water from freezing trick.
Great production. Keep them comming. Hello from Georgia USA. Joe and Jassy here
Thank you both Joe and Jassy! We really appreciate it.
Nice ! You guys know your stuff.
Thank you very much john!
Thanks so much for sharing and letting us know what kind of gear you're having. I love these kind of vids cause it's inspiring as well. And I love the sound of fire....Being in nature is just great! Till next video!!! Greetings from Holland, Jan
Thank you Eis, greetings from Canada!
Mikes merriment and mayhem channel 😆
😄 Thank you very much alan!
Hope you all enjoy this cold camping trip. We had a lot of fun. This is the type of camping that got us hooked into winter camping a long time ago. Cheers everyone!
Like the fire!
thank-you my friend and Sandra
I have been wanting to winter camp for years, watching this video was motivational. No moquitos no bears, what more could you want. Looks like you had a nice time. Looking everywhere for a Uco lantern now. That is the coolest thing! We are in southern NB and your video made me feel right at home. Great job!
Thanks arkstrike. Winter camping is more fun than I can explain. It's amazing how quiet it gets camping in the winter. Highly recommend it. As for the Uco lantern, you can find it through MEC or Amazon. It's the Candlelier model that we have. Make sure to get extra candles!
Wow , I, needed a cup of hot coffee watching that morning.
😄😄, one of the rare times we didn't make some in the morning. I'd be lying if I said I didn't regret it.
I can't get enough of your camping videos. I come from a long line of campers my great grandparents were married straight out of college in 1901 and on their honeymoon they went on a camping trip down the Mississippi River. The pictures are amazing! My grandparents, they were really into winter camping and my parents caught the bug, along with us kids. There's no place I would rather be than outdoors in a tent with a fire going. I'm getting older now have some health problems my grandkids go camping with my son all the time. They have a converted bus (which I told him was cheating LOL) I can't really get out and Camp anymore because of my health so I live vicariously through you two. Your videos are like being there.
Thank you so much for the comment carol! I'm really happy that you enjoy the videos. You and your family seem to have quite the camping heritage. Thank you very much for sharing your love of the outdoors with us and your family!
lol Mike hug :)
Ok. 15 seconds in and all i have to say is, Sandra you chose this guy. lol
😄😄😄 Sandra had a pretty good laugh at that one.
Thanks MrSrtman18
from: "this guy"
On the bright side, im sure there could be 15-30 seconds in each video of “this guy” follies. You know, to lighten the mood, have a good laugh on behalf the guy Sandra chose. Idk. Just a thought. Thanks again! 😂
no more beer for you in the morning lol ;)
Hi and good luck I’ll be watching!!
I love to see people having fun, despite the weather. Good vid !
Thank you very much Karen, it was fun!
Ha Ha found ya, been hiding and I found one I had missed. As always another great video from you all. thanks for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving my Friends...
😄😄 nice, we really had fun on that trip. I'm sure we'll be trying this type of trip again this winter.
Love it when you all do the snow ⛺. New skills develop in the harsh weather conditions. ATVB to You and Your Family's. Von
As often as I've camped in the winter, I still picked up a couple of tips... which, hopefully, I'll have a chance to utilize next week. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much nibimocs, hope you enjoy your outing! I'll keep an eye out for it.
buen video gracias desde California thank-you
Great looking spider dogs..., truly enjoy your videos, you both have such a love for the great outdoors... Keep at it..
Thanks a lot jim!!
What a hoot! Great to see ya cold camping! Love the part at the beginning where the snowshoes were all tangled, been there myself! It is a lot harder to get them untangled where your laughing! Winter camping too much work? That is crazy talk, all part of the fun. haha! If I have a sled I usually take a small cooler and put anything (including electronics and batteries) that I don't want to freeze in it. At night I heat up a bottle, put it in a wool sock and plunk it in the cooler. I find this works really well. :) Thanks to you and Sandra for sharing!
Thanks you very much Jacqueline. That is an awesome tip with the hot water bottle in the cooler. I had thought of bring a cooler just to keep the batteries above freezing but I never thought to use water as a heater. That's a great idea.
Brilliant again guys!😎😎😎😎
Muito bom. Muita coragem.
Thank you Guaraci!
Looks like great fun. Back in the day, cold tenting was all there was. New England area. Thanks from Orlando Florida
It was Alan, We were getting spoiled with the hot tent 😄

Awesome video guys! Laughed my hole off at the snowshoe incident - i have no idea how that even happens. LOL

Hi.
Thanks for liking my comments. Since I do not know a thing of camping, I just write my humor of things that I watch or hear. And make a comedy of them.
Thanks to Dave Sandstorm for his liking of my writings. Love to all of you. God bless.
awesome stuff you 2 !!!!!!!
Thanks Kaylynn, I'm happy that you enjoyed it!
And again a really nice video from you two. You have a lot of snow over there, almost no snow right now here, but probably more will come.
Thanks a lot Lasse! We have a bit of snow around the house but when you go into the woods, there is a fair amount more. Makes for fun winter trips.
Thank you!! Nice to follow you when I don’t have the possibility to go myself this winter.
Greetings from Kaja - Tove is outdoors in a cold tent just now ❄️⛺️

Hi.
Taking my breakfast. My daughter and grandson are sleeping. Since we live in the high desert. The temperature at night drops to the 50's and make routine more pleasant. So, they sleep longer, me , always had even an early riser. Plus is Sunday.
Great adventure. I have a good time watching this video for the second time. It is a treat to watch you guys. You are exceptional, one of a kind couple. Never change the way you present yourselves not only in your videos but in real life and many rewards will come your way.
Take it from The almost 73 years Old Crow.
Love, health and blessings from Nevada. Pappi.
Thank you Pappi! Glad you're enjoying the cool nights.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I know I've mentioned it before but Sandra and I always talk about how that was one of our favorite trips last winter. We had a really great time.
Great video, Why don't you built yourself a "Yaranga" which is a tent within a tent.....
It's traditionally use by the "Chukchi" tribe who lives deep in the siberians, It'll keep you warm even if the temp outside plummeted into the negatives Celsius just by using your bodyheat.....
You can use a modern tent to be the "outer" tent and use a traditional "Yaranga" for the inner tent where you'll be sleeping in.....
Thanks frilink!
@@IamOutdoorsy btw the inner tent is called a "polog" and the outer tent is called a "yaranga"......
I was ready to shyt down when the bell shot up red. When I saw it was IamOutdoorsy had to settle back down. I like the bowls you use, were are they available? I did not know about burying the water bottle like that. Of course I don't think I will ever camp in snow like that or temp but one never knows. Another great video and so much fun with you and Sandra.
😄😄. Thanks Jo, I was surprised at how quickly the water started to ice up after pulling the bottle out of the snow.
Sorry Jo, Sandra reminded me that you asked about the bowls.
They are GSI Ultra light Nesting Bowl. We got them thought MEC.ca but are likely available with Amazon or sporting goods stores.
Cheers,
👍😊
Thank you dana! 👍😃
:)
too cold my friend, living in the Philippines is much hotter, however I did enjoy your video
I'm glad you liked it Paul!
Wow. Great vid and you're right, ALOT of work. That fire pit was deep. I would have just given up finding the ground. BTW, those snow shoes are going to be the death of you. I've never worn them but they look uncomfortable. Where would I get one of those candle lanterns? I love that.
😄😄 Thanks Irene, the snow shoes aren't entirely to blame...I'm pretty clumsy😄 .
It's a Uco Candlelier. You should be able to get it on-line through sporting goods stores or Amazon. I got mine through Mountain Equipment Coop. If you do get one, make sure to get a bunch of spare candles. Each candle burns for about eight hours.
Solar powered Luci Lights and their cheaper copy.
How come you didn't take the sled with you and load it with the wood instead of making a bunch of trips
Because I'm not really smart 😣.... Lol, I will next time 👍
Question.... you keep talkin about property is this your property? and how many acres? Also, another great video!
Thanks Skip Allen, its a family property where my father grew up. About 100 acres.
@@IamOutdoorsy man I miss those days. My parents had a 156 acre farm house with state land around us in the Leelanau Peninsula. That was back in the 70's.
You two are having a blast. Enjoy.
I don't understand why you waste so much birch bark instead of adding kindling sooner. Can you explain?
Hi Dianna, there is plenty of it from dead trees in the area. It's not a spot we go often to so we don't really need to save any.
@@IamOutdoorsy Ah I see, ok makes sense'
Video is ok, we can't see anything for the most part, it is too dark.
Sorry Jim, I'm not sure why that is. I didn't alter the shading or colors and the camera setting are the same as in my other videos. It seemed fine on my screens. I checked a few different ones and they all seemed ok. Sorry that it showed too dark for you.
Is this a different tent from canoeing trip?
More q’s. How do u like the worksharp? Ive never used one, heard good things tho. Also, what shovel you got? Looks nice, would u recommend it?
Hi MrSrtman18. I really like the worksharp. I does a really great job on the edges for knives and axes and it's really easy to use.
I don't remember the name of the brand for the shovels, but we did get them through Costco (it was a pack of 2).
🍺
🍻 to you dm8867!
Why cross the ropes between you and the sled?
Hi benoit, the poles help slow the sled in downhills but the bend quite easy. Having them crossed give a little bit more rigidity to them.
👍👍🇨🇦
Excellent video and also environment looks beautiful. Good team work, thumbs-up !
Thank you very much Ba Outdoors, we'll be going back to that spot at some point!
