Yes 👍 as everyone has said , really interesting, I would try the poutine looks good. That shelter is worth all the hard work that went into it. Cosy inside, I’m quite jealous. ❤ Keep the vids coming.
The Acadian Poutin looks alot like the Swedish dish Kroppkakor, also grated potato around ground beef, serve with lingonberry jam and a side dish of grated white cabbage

Hello Mike and Sandra! Love that shelter.. I have heard o the Acadian meal before,, I watch several you tubers from Canada.. Love the birds.. LOL! Great video I really enjoyed it.. thank you
The new shelter looks like the most spacious and comfortable by far! You two always have fun but it's nice to see you so at ease, just warm and dry. not cramped.

Well, you two Good food, I like it a little more spicy, but no matter what, I can’t do without chili. You do not need a new camping chair, 20 cm round bar in the tube, with the axe back pressed well and you have done it. Greetings from Frankfurt, stay healthy, take care of you, a nice video, have fun, you two.
I grew up in northern Minnesota, this looks like my norweigian roots, potato dumplings. We made with grated potatoes, flour, stuffed with salt pork chopped onions with lots of pepper and boiled. Ate with melted butter or bacon grease. Great sliced up and fried in butter the next morning. My dad called them cannonballs. It was our traditional Christmas eve dinner with lutefisk. No I never ate the stinky fish, that was my dad and oldest brother. Can also make them with mashed potatoes, but I like the regular ones better.
Hey Mike and Sandra, so nice, to see another video.. makes me miss my off-grid trailer/cabin in Haliburton Forest... I have only been up once this winter. Not able to get up there as much due to some financial difficulties this winter, but I am hoping to get back there again soon in the next couple of weeks. Our place is 12km into the forest, so I drive an ATV to our place in the winter pulling a sleigh, and my snowmobile is kept at the camp site, if I want to go for a ride. Have fun, and stay safe, and thanks for the authentic view of poutine! Maybe next time you should do 'pâté chinois' - and talk about the history of that meal!
This is exactly why We love you guys! Everything is different and makes you want to watch more. As a fellow Canadian - Ontario born and raised- I commend you on a great video. I have to get out there and make one of those shelters! Just love it! Check out boss of the swamp - he has a great outhouse made from a tarp that looks like a tipi.
Thanks for the video! Your "Poutine" approaches what we call "rappie pie" down in SW Nova . Love it. I'm sure I'd like your "poutine" just as much; 'specially in a beautiful warm shelter in the woods. Love what you guys do. Another woods delicacy might be what we call a "boiled dinner" which could be cottage roll or corned beef cooked in a pressure cooker with cabbage, potato, carrots and parsnips. Done in the woods it would be hard to beat. stay safe you two and thanks again!
We used to spend summers camping in New Brunswick. Mostly on the Mirimichi. We made friends with an Acadian family who introduced us to this dish. As kids I can say it took some getting use too. As adults we love it.
I love those! In Quebec we call them "boule de neige" (snow ball) or "grand-père" (grand father). When Sandra cut the first one, the right side of your poutine looked like a face! Keep up the videos, good work. Take care. ❤️

Always a pleasure to see you both. Have you heard of Maple Syrup Pudding (Canadian/British-style pudding, where the sauce and the sponge cook together, not cold American-style pudding) because that is SO delicious. I got my recipe from a friend, who got it from her MIL (she was rural Quebecois) and I've never been able to find it in a recipe book, or online. If you'd like the recipe, I will give it to you. Mike? Put a roof over the latrine. For Sandra, who is a lady, and thus, deserves it. :)
