2023 was a legendary doll year! So before we anticipate for what's to come in 2024, let's appreciate some 2023 highlights! Barbie, Rainbow High, Shadow High, LOL OMG, Bratz, Disney ILY4Ever ... They all made sure this year was one for the books.

My daughter Eden gave me basically her whole RH/SH collection which could be that she turned 11 or that she is obsessed with Japanese Anime dolls right now or they might be on the decline…I just love the way they photograph. No editing needed. Those eyes are amazing.

Speaking of teens back then versus now, my sister’s boyfriend has a 15-year-old daughter who acts really grown a lot and I kept feeling she needed a doll after I found the blue crimped hair doll with stars on the face because its face looks just like her and she’s tall and she has done some modeling.
I bought the doll at a thrift store nude and grabbed two fashion packs for her, dressed her in one, gave her a stand, and had an iridescent sticker made in the Barbie font for her with her name for her water bottle (and I have one with my name on mine too that I showed her).
She was so touched when she saw the doll. She loved the Barbie Movie this year. She was playing with her right there and she put the sticker on her water bottle and she was so surprised when I said it looked like her to me. She almost cried.
It’s hard to know how to impress teens sometimes, but I’m so glad to have reminded her she’s also a little girl and that I see her.
That is so cool!!! 💜

Ive had the same relationship with RH this year. I became overwhelmed with how many came out at once and I lost interest a bit. I spent a lot of time just appreciating what I already have and got back to my Barbie girl. You definitely inspired me, as well, to restyle them when I needed a happy place moment. Thank you. Victoria and the twin pack Sunny are some of the best dolls of the year.

This video made me realize just how good fashion from the other Doll lines from Barbie is. Fashions are higher quality and way more creative. Too bad I collect Barbie.

I received Lavender Lynn from ShadowHigh for Xmas and just ordered Wilma Mankiller Barbie today! 🥳 She’s usually so expensive second hand but found a great deal! ❤ I almost had Mariah but alas sold out when in cart 😢

I don't have another year to compare to really. I had my Barbie house, dolls & crafts going for last 3 or 4 years, but 2023 is when I found more Barbies, Rainbow High, Bratz & Monster High & went crazy. I have a little collection of those 4 doll lines now 😳...2024 I will slow way down ! I'll try...🤣. But I learned a lot & want to craft/custom/thrift more, & less focus on new released dolls.

My friend JulieBBarbies got me that all in white blonde 👱🏻♀️ RH doll for Christmas with a note saying “Here is Your mini Rainbow High Doll Milan!” 🤍Sooo sweet!

I think it was a pretty good doll year. I got Stevie and Mariah for Christmas this year. I agree about the Margo Robbie doll. Her crunchy bangs were pretty bad, but I still got the doll. Can’t wait to see what this year brings! Can’t wait to see more videos from you this year!!!❤

Both the movie Ken’s match buff Ken’s skin tone there’s a blonde dreamtopia “royal Ken” with swoopy blonde hair that’s a perfect match. The first blonde Barbie looks Ken matches perfectly. I ended up getting like 7 of him over the course of the year and have done a NUMBER of swaps. Also if you’ve got a friend who shops for u in the US the collector Mattel live action Ariel doll is like $35.00 right now
I also think the whole thing with the Ryan face was one of the objects of the movie was to spark a “kennasiance” which it kinda did and if the Ken doll isn’t Ryan’s face they A. Don’t have to pay him for the LARGE number of movie Ken’s we got and B. He’s just a new cute Ken that has the movie working for him as far as sales. Then enough ppl were like “ummmm we want a Ryan face” so Mattel was like “k we’ll give u this made to order situation” but it was mainly for them to be able to do unlimited Ken releases for the movie and not have to pay Ryan

Great Video as always! I have bought some Rainbow High dolls this year, mainly the fashion runway ones. I don't feel the need to "get them all" thankfully. Barbie was amazing this year and I hope that continues into 2024. Barbie Signature was a pain to my wallet! I did get Stevie Nicks, my all time favorite singer and a few others during the "Black Friday" sale. Going to try and watch my budget this year (HA!) but we shall see!

Yes I loved the Skullector releases, always stressful to try to get them... I have Elvira and Annabelle from this year, they are amazing!

I wonder if you recorded this before the controversial RH reboot! For those that said they were losing interest in fashionable high quality RH/SH-- are you happy now? 😭
Anyway, as a SH/Barbie/Bratz/MH collector, it was a fun year of dolls. I got quite a few you mentioned. I did not even try to score the Skullector dolla. But i got doll of the year Abby, and Monster Ball Cleo, and a few others.
I also scored the Morra Mermaidz Mermaze doll, who came with 2 tails and several outfits, for $10, reduced from $50(!), back in July, and gave her to my partner for Xmas! 💓🖤💜 She's very pastel, pink/lavender, with a touch of black hair mixed in the pink, since she has bad/good alter egos. Gorgeous !

I like RH dolls series 1-4 and SH dolls Series 1. I don’t really care much for the other series dolls, oh yeah and I like the RH Pacific Coast dolls. 😄

Happy new year Arjen!🎉 I enjoyed this review. I do have some RH in my collection. I think that if there is a decline of interest in RH it's because, of the changes they have made. The wrist are no longer moveable and, now they have slime. You make the slime and put it in their shoes and bag. Included also is a pet to be filled with slime. I don't think the adult collector will be inti this and the dolls will not be as poseable. The former series seem to be going up in price since they won't be available any more. The Barbie extra fly was so cool. I wish they wouldn't have discontinued that line. I had to get the fashionista with the afro. She's so pretty. I think the cowgirl Barbie from the movie was the most popular. She's gone up in price and she's the first one I got. I got the cowboy 🤠 Ken for Christmas 🎄. I'm looking forward to see what Mattel comes up with this year and your videos😊! God bless!

I have a Lonestar OMG mini me and I have her in most of Wildflower’s outfit (with gold boots instead and I don’t have the ribbon, bag, or little corset). The vibe gives me early 2000s fashions I liked then with a princessy flair.
I never knew about the PJ ahead of time, but I really regret that I don’t have her! That’s still not Teresa imo. I don’t collect MH, but the Sally is so sweet and Elvira is such a lesbian icon.
I think I’m gonna try to save money by calling good prices cute prices. 💖 I didn’t end up getting the Pink Magnolia doll, but I grabbed the 2020 white dress doll who might be as cute or cuter for my girl for a truly adorable price.
I gotta admit, the boy from series 5 RH is kind of tempting. Super cute. I haven’t seen a girl I like yet; I think it’s the eye spacing.
I love the pastels Barbie has done for Easter, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled. 👀

All these years of creations have created a spirit that lives on it's own. We may see it with different eyes, but, like with god, it is one and it exists and we all feel the same "presence" no matter what material manifestation of it is placed before our eyes. Oh my gosh! Crocs are huge in CA elementary, middle and high schools. 😳Yeah I know! Right? They put a ton of cute charms on them though and they wear socks with them… It’s not for ME though!!!

I just ordered an older MH set. Frankenstein & Bride. And i got Dracula in October...Paid more than I liked, but I'm afraid they'll just go up. And those monsters are just fun, classics. I'd say even though I've collected a few MH dolls this year, they're my least favorite. I just want a few. I will get the Wednesday doll, when she comes out too.
The Wednesday set is gonna be crazy popular! 😅💙 such a brilliant move from MH!
Its okay to own dolls from the varying series instead of restricting yourself to a single category because that might isolate staying interested when newer versions are released. I prefer Monster High since they have a spunky style and the music is fun to hear but I have no Skullector dolls until I can get a better persona on the internet for myself. So many content channels do impressive doll make overs and sculpts that will require lots of original concepts. This is hard to do but also somewhat slow process.

Maybe you can help me Arejan? I signed up for a membership to your channel, and RUclips is charging me taxes. I live in Oregon and shouldn’t be paying that tax. I can’t find a place to talk to anyone at RUclips, and I can’t find a place to update my mailing address on my RUclips account.
