As a life long AG collector and Tangled stan, that Rapunzel doll was directed directly at my wallet. I rarely make such major purchases like that, but I knew for sure I wanted her. My only nitpick is that her eyes for aquamarine on the doll but Rapunzel has green eyes lol. Otherwise I’m SUPER excited for her.

I have a Wellie Wisher I got used. They make outfits that are very similar to the Disney Princess for $14. I'm pretty sure they have them for the big ones. She's cute less creepy than the 18 in. ones, but they aren't for me.

One of the designers said that the fashions are outfits they would wear on a night out versus a night in: dance parties versus what they do in their dorms. Toralei writes and records songs, Draculaura watches TV dramas with her mom, Ghoulia streams games, etc. I just think that's adorable!!

1) The distribution of the Barbie movie dolls have been such a mess so far. I wish that Mattel could be able to do an actual consistent release. 😭

I just can’t fathom so many of the Disney “special releases” and their price points. Most of them are about the same quality as the Playline versions from my childhood. I do love the new storybook dolls though and I LOVE the high heel feet (just wish the knees were articulated)
I’m with you on Annabelle. Haunted dolls are one of my biggest fears, so I’d be afraid that she’d hold a similar curse as the original!
Bratz is the one I'm most excited! As someone who couldn't collect them due to financial reasons back in their heyday, the repros have been an excellent way to start my Bratz collection that I've been yearning to do💕.

Omg I so agree with you on the Felicia reproduction. I saw Looking Bratz posting a community post about wave 3 and my response was “Finally! We can actually afford her now!”.
Also a big f-off to all those whining about it. If you only see your doll as special because they’re not easy to find and cost a ton of money than you don’t actually care about it and it never was special to begin with.
How much you paid and “rarity” isn’t what’s most important about the doll. It’s the doll itself. If your mind doesn’t go something like “I miss that wonderful sweet amazing doll so very very much.” than you need to stop collecting dolls because you’re everything that’s wrong with the doll collecting community.

growing up my mom never got me bratz dolls so its so amazing now as an adult to be able to go out and buy some that arent 2nd hand ! theyre so cute and amazing , my inner child goes nuts every time i just look at them

I really look forward to these videos - your dry humor and knowledge of dolls is delightful. I love the Pixlings! I've already gotten Deerla and Marena. Their hair is super silky and their sculpted on clothes are well done. The first "unveiling" was fun (but Deerla got wet).I just opened Marena without all the magic. I'm so glad they are color coded; I loathe surprise dolls. Una is a pass for me, she just didn't zing for me. When I saw her arms had molded on texture, that made her a hard pass. I'm thinking about the winter doll, but I already think they are over priced, so I may pass. I'm working on a deer doll based display, based around Isi Dawndancer (now there is a gorgeous doll!), so Deerla is a perfect fit. Marena can hang out with Lagoona, but the rest don't really have a place in my collection. If someone wanted to give me Fake Fur Coat Ken, I would make room for him. But he has none of the angsty edge of the movie Ken, so not worth the money for me.
The holiday Barbie’s from last year and this year, have been so incredibly boring.

When I saw the Disney Princess dolls in the diorama boxes, I instantly needed Ariel because she came with her blue dress and I also got Aurora. Ariel is amazing, Aurora looks way better in her Briar Rose outfit and the curl on her forehead is glued onto a bunch of very choppy bangs. Overall, I'm much happier with Ariel. She's beautiful, her hair is amazing and the blue dress is, too. I was VERY surprised to find out that these dolls have very retro rubbery bend and snap legs. The shoes barely hold on their feet, I think as a toy those would be lost immediately but for a collector they are very good.
I love your videos about new releases but it also always makes me sad because it will take ages to get those for a good price here in Germany. Monster High still only has the base five girls and the Feariridecent Secrets for them officially released here. No Clawd, no Deuce, no Abbey, nothing...

I've been burned out on dolls this summer, but then i saw the Clearance $19 on the green skinned Rainbow High doll; so i got her. I got a Flynn Rider (by Mattel) just because payin $6.99 shipping is a waste of money when one more item would put my order over $35.
Hot take I've had since Bratz Head Gamez: Instead of releasing one body with extra heads, they should release one head with extra bodies. Maybe not what a lot of fashion doll lovers want, as changing the clothes is part of the fun, but I bet a lot of people would appreciate not having to fumble with the tiny clothes to get their dolls a new look.
the pixlings are just absolutely adorable, though they're a little. busy in the face, with giant eyes and makeup and a forehead gem AND whatever their theme feature is. the unicorn is...a lot. that said, i have a NEED for the winter themed one.
I’ve been collecting the little magic mixies surprise cauldrons since series 1 (way cheaper than the toys the brand started with) and my biggest complaint with them was the hard plastic cauldrons that just get tossed, especially if you buy a bunch. But that’s it! Then with their newest series they brought the potion water play aspect into them and the amount of plastic in them have gotten so out of hand. I’m disappointed than the pixlings are also going through with the water play feature. I know kids love it, and that’s who they’re going to cater to, but if they’re going to pump out so many toys with hard plastic packaging with little to no replay value then the company needs to step up and offer a recycling program or SOMETHING
It would be nice if they included a little booklet on ideas for upcycling the bottles. I imagine they would be pretty easy to craft into something cool, like a faux terrarium.
@@psychotophatcat There is an official website that suggests... putting shiny things in the bottles to make their "potions." Not much of an upcycling idea but they tried. I got on the Moose toys website and left a message to the tune of "The Pixlings can stand on their own, we don't all need the reveal experience every time! Please make with or without bottle options!" and I got a response that seemed like a human had read it. Maybe if enough people leave messages they'll go with it and we can collect without also collecting bottles!
Anyways, not sure I'd buy the Nana dolls, but I LIKE that they're just getting weirder and funnier with the release. If anything, that's what tempts me to buy them and stick around. There's something about the silliness and short-sightedness of it all that it feels like the creators were on crack and I appreciate the energy. I stan MGA running an entire doll line fueled by someone about to pass out from all the joints they've smoked.

'Mosquito net' had me choking on my coffee! 😄 I think the Holiday Barbie's look beautiful with their hair and make-up styling, but agree, the dress is underwhelming; at least, they should have 'trimmed' the capelet.
Really bummed at Na Na Na being fully plastic now… their fabric faces were so cute! Also I can’t get over the weird whitewashing of one of the characters (don’t remember her name but she’s the one with the funky glasses) from the packaging versus the actual doll. How did they mess up THAT badly?!?
I definitely would not be buying the Holiday dolls, they're expensive, super cheap and ugly. I really miss the old holiday dolls! And about the MH Neon dolls, you're right, the stock photos most of the time look SO much better, so I'm not going to get excited for it until I see it in real life...I may get Twyla though, haha😅
I really want the Jasmine Radiance Collection doll. Jasmine has always been my favorite and I love when she has a really good doll! I feel like they don't use her engagement announcement outfit enough lately, and it's one of my favorite outfits that she has. Also it looks pretty close to the scene in the movie. It's really well done. Also she's giving me old school 90s Disney Mattel doll line in that picture. Unfortunately I will not be spending $75 to get her. It's a bit too much. It could have been more pricey, but I'm sadly gonna have to pass her up.

I think the dolls I am most excited for are the redone Disney Store dolls. The princesses FINALLY have pointed toes again. Which to me is better because the flat feet on the old dolls are just so weirdly shaped. I just hope they kept the bend and snap knees from the old line. I am honestly not interested in the $75 princess dolls unless they have non made-to-move legs. I always worry about the feet braking off of the made-to-move dolls so I generally don't like them as much as I used to. Awesome video and it was nice seeing dolls I haven't seen covered yet like the Platinum collection.
As someone who likes the Conjuring series, the Annabelle skullector doll is a huge letdown. They had so much to pull from, the doll herself is possessed by this incredibly well designed demon- and the MONSTER High doll is just… regular Annabelle?
The fact the same series made Greta Gremlin and came out with whatever this is makes me mad. Where is the creativity? Where are the MONSTERS?!

Mattel and Disney are full on clowning with these prices omg. $75 for that is absolutely ridiculous and hearing $300 made me a little sick. Also, I'm over the blind box thing with MH. I really want to see fearidescent Lagoona in person bc I think she's the best out of the line but I'm still not the biggest fan of the pink skin (I'm sorry I can't help it, she looks boiled to me) so I want to see with my own 2 eyes how the colors actually look with the outfit. I wish they did what LOL does with the velcro flap. Plus MH doesn't have a good track record with wonk controll
On the positive side, I'm going absolutely feral for neon Twyla!!! The dark lip, the teal and purple with the black, the little spider web earplugs, the lantern bag, the shorts, the everything!!! It's all so good!!! Easily my favorite G3 doll. I'm actually surprised at how much I like this skulltimate secrets series, I normally don't vibe with neon but I don't dislike any of the dolls and I think they're all fairly well executed. Twyla and Toralei are the standouts tho (and Toralei's 2nd pair of shoes look like a throwback to her G1 shoes)

Sad that Disney related Blind bags will have both the blue and pink dress Aurora that you can randomly get, though it may just be certain series of the doorables and that Disney park blind bag plushes, but still we need more things that you can choose either pink or blue dress aurora, heck it would be funny if they had some variety of her in the color clash version of the dress
My complaints for last year's holiday doll were answered mostly: I wanted dress details, jewelry, and glam makeup and hair. So after seeing her in person at my Walmart, I'm actually happy with her. :)

i remember seeing the holiday barbies lined up like that and things "oh god it's the stepford barbies". The amount of hate Belle's dress has gotten is kind of ridiculous. And then the AG princess dolls jumpscared me with their weird faces wtf. I'd like to be able to get Ghoulia and Twyla and maybe a couple others. There's only1 G3 Ghoulia so far I wish they'd do more with her. I don't watch horror movies either but I think Annabelle looks really cool. I actually love those NA glasses. They don't make me think of Nanana at all they just make me think "Nah".

I already got Flitta (the mixling) from walmart yesterday and i LOVE HERRR!! She’s SO CUTE!!! the hair quality on those lil things really impresses me, though i’ll have to wash it because it’s a bit crunchy at the back
Definitely agree Jasmine is the standout for the Disney Radiance dolls. Belle looks like they just randomly slapped red rhinestones on the skirt and went for a $25 upcharge.

The dolls I'm chasing right now are the Target exclusive ILY doll, because she's the only one I don't have, and I'm waiting impatiently for a few little ball jointed dolls and their Nendoroid doll cousins. Since I have to get them from China they're taking what feels like years to get here and don't track properly when in transit, so I'm stressed.

Anyways, for the first time Im not goin cra for the neon Skull-Secrets line. Also, I gotta respectfully disagree on the tweens, we FINALLY get super sparkly eyes on the extra head and the desitns are still pretty cute, perhaps some will change their minds once they have em in hand?
I saw the Holiday Barbie at Target yesterday and when I saw the color I was like “oh!” And then I truly took a looked at the doll was like “…meh” lol.
Speaking of Target, mine fully skipped over wave 1 skulltimate secrets and had a whiplash when I walked to the MH aisle and there was wave 2, the prom dolls AND Abbey and Clawd. The MH aisle had been so miserable for months now and suddenly BOOM overflowing with dolls lol. No Mixlings were spotted though which made me :(
NA NA NA SURPRISE: I have such mixed thoughts about the new Na Na Na dolls. I’m a HUGE Na Na Na fan, but I’ve always had some issues with areas I’d like changed. I LOVE the new plastic bodies, though I did also love the stockinette style bodies as well. I’m THRILLED they have finally given us fully rooted hair and I don’t mind the plastic hats, but I am extremely disappointed with the plastic clothes. I don’t mind the plastic clothes for the mini dolls, but I strongly dislike them in the full sized dolls. They dolls are already poorly articulated for my taste and the plastic clothing negates even the minimal articulation (though the neck articulation and shoulder articulation are spectacular and that does not go unnoticed). I also am not wild about the flocking gimmick. The dolls look so cute with the flocking, it’s almost a shame to peel it off. I imagine it was a rather expensive gimmick to pull off and I would have much rather seen that budget go into the doll’s articulation or wardrobe. Also, it’s extremely difficult and time consuming to get all the flocking off, and it’s almost impossible to get the clear glasses of the plastic to look decent. I had to use rubbing alcohol, which began to lift paint from the frames. I also had to use tweezers to remove most of the flocking from all the pieces. I don’t think many children would have the patience or dexterity for such a tedious project except for maybe pre-teens or older. It will become an annoying task for parents. It’s frustrating to have Na Na Nas so improved in certain areas and so worsened in other areas. I’m thrilled they haven’t been discontinued, but it would just be so easy to make these dolls spectacular and MGA keeps slightly missing the mark. Just give us fully rooted hair, high quality outfits, simplify the gimmicks, and to really perfect the dolls, improve the articulation and lose the confetti. One thing I have to really credit MGA for in these dolls is the semi-blind packaging. I love that
PIXLINGS: I, like you, as obsessed with the Pixlings. I Moose Toys had matched the level of articulation they gave us with Failfix (and I also wish they had full cloth clothing instead of molded), but I appreciate there’s at least some articulation beyond the basic 5-point, and I’m so relieved to hear the hair is high quality as that is often a deal breaker for me. The colored bodies, complex face paint, and gorgeous sculpts are so well-done and you can tell they put a lot of thought and love into these dolls. They remind me of extremely expensive fantasy themed resin mini BJD from companies such as Latidoll and Fairyland. I will be getting every single one. I do like the magic bottle gimmick and I know my 5 year old daughter will enjoy it, but I agree it will become excessive and wasteful for those of us who intend to get more than one doll. Hopefully they will vary the gimmick with upcoming releases. I do appreciate they put thought into making the gimmick reusable. I know my daughter will love creating different potions using the recipe guide, and hopefully we will come up for uses for the additional bottles.
LOL TWEENS: I actually really like the new wave of tweens. I’m curious to see how the head switching gimmick will work. I love all the pastel tones, ruffles, lace, and heart eyes. I’m sorry they’re underwhelming for you. Hopefully they will redeem themselves once they’re actually released.
Holiday Barbie is giving very live action Belle’s yellow dress with that single layer of flimsy tulle on the skirt.
I'm really excited for the surprise swap tweens! Their hair and outfits aren't quite there for me, especially thr hair on some of them feels - overdesigned, maybe? Also, I don't want any more hair bows. But they faces, especially the new catchlights in the eyes have me so excited to pick them up! I saw a few at smyths toys in Germany and it was really hard not to pick one up right away 😣
Ariel's blue dress has always been my favorite too! It's my default mental image of her as a human and it's always annoyed me how it's underutilized in her toys and merch.
The outfits for the AG dolls look great but the faces do not work for me as the characters. That nose job they gave Jasmin especially has me wincing. I'm sure they just couldn't justify a new face mold for one character but oof.

I went to target yesterday and they had just restocked and the fashion doll section was FULLL so I had to get one, I decided on the Bratz Tiana doll and one of her tops she comes with just doesn't fit..? but other than that shes AMAZINGGG

I almost bought the new Ariel doll at the Disney Store over the weekend but she comes with less accessories. I couldn't justify buying her since I only wanted the blue dress to begin with :/
I love Ariels blue dress! Im soo shocked that blue dress doesnt get more representation!!! I love all the peasant dresses for the Disney dolls! I want alllll lol
The Annabelle doll is way cuter than the real character from the movie!
I wanted the Annabelle dall but honestly Im so broke I'm probably sticking with monster high, littlest pet shop, tech deck and hot wheels for now..
Mostly monster high, I have Franky, Draculaura, and twyla so far.
3:35 The 100 Years of Wonder dolls look like no-sew dress patterns. The Radiance Collection dolls look like a "creativity" kit where kids can place the tacky jewels wherever they want on the dress.

once you got to the nanana i was like "flocked doll?!" but then so disappointed when you peel off the fuzz. listen, maybe this makes me a bit of a furry but i would buy a fuzzy doll. like a calico critters fashion doll LOL.
I think my other favorite was the MH dolls, I really like their little vests. I dont actually collect dolls though and I can see the boots being annoying- as an artist they bother me the most. I also like the pixlings a lot, but i kind of mostly like their size, their pseudo-chibiness, and i dont like their clothes all that much.
Honestly, I kinda had the same thoughts on the new Tweens dolls. I love the concept, the new faces and hand molds, but the outfits aren't hitting that hard. I love the Tween dolls, but I sadly have to skip it TT^TT. I look forward to the up new Scaradise Monster High dolls though. They look so good!!
Yea, I feel the same way. This new line doesn't have me in a chokehold, but from the pictures alone Bailey grabs my attention the most but I'm gonna see what else the tweens has to offer later this year
I bought all three of the Disney American Girl dolls and they've already arrived. They are awesome.
I got Jasmine and just love her. The outfit is so nice - like a return to high quality.

Ugh the series 3 skulltimate secrets line has me in so much conflict. Like for me, i need the toralei and Frankie. Like hands down, i love both of them- easy. I don’t need the drac, nothing too exciting to me about her this time around. It’s ghoulia and Twyla that are tough tho- cuz there are pieces i REALLY like about them, but I’m not like- obsessed with them? Like i like ghoulia’s face on this but the outfits and hair to me are meh? Twyla on the other hand i like the outfits of but i don’t feel like the actual doll is honestly all that special. Idk i guess we’ll see.

I'm the same with the new Tweens swappable head line - I think because they're still trying to make dolls with very specific aesthetics, the head swap gimmick feels out of place compared to, say, Bratz Head Gamez
I got an original G3 Ghoulia early on but SS Ghoulia looks really good (in stock photos). I am keeping myself to one doll per a character so I'm debating about keeping my Original G3 Ghoulia or selling her to get a SS Ghoulia.

10:45 im not a fan of the conjuring or how Annabelle looks in the movie and the dolls face up, but I really like her outfit. I wish I could wear and pull off that look irl. Too bad the movies suck.
