    Adam Savage's passion for cosplay at his age is what made me get into it age 30. I then scoured RUclips for tutorials and such. That's how I came across you guys, Evil Ted, Cosplay Chris, ZonZonZonbi, Kamui Cosplay, Dali DIY, Xieng Prod, Odin Makes, Andrew DFT and other amazing cosplay creators.

    One of your best builds ever! Wish this resource had been available in 2004 when I built my Witch King of Angmar costume. I used sheet metal and my gauntlets are a constant hazard for drawing blood or losing an eye. Note, the same principles can be used on the boots. Looking forward to more of your stuff on TESTED!!! As a left handed person, i share your pain from having to paint the opposite hands. Had the same issue when i did my Genji gloves and did the same thing as you and just wore it on the right hand flipped over

    • @punishedprops
      @punishedprops  6 лет назад +3

      If you find this is an issue often, you can get a dummy hand from retail supply stores - the ones often used to display or hold jewelry. They're often small, but work well for basic support. You can even mount it to a base for easier painting. If you don't have access to one of those stores, you can always make a rough hand form out of foam (insulation foam or even styrofoam would probably work best) and attach it to a base for painting.
      When all else fails, call in a buddy :)

Also to attach the finger pieces with a small Eyelet and Snap Punch could be a more simple option. But of course, that's me being excited and speculating LOL This is awesome! So thrilled to hear you'll be doing more on Tested! And also thanks so much for the patterns ;)

    Lol I loved how you thought to use the pliers to tighten the other strap.

    Great build I want to build the whole costume now this is truly amazing... I think I will cut the pieces out on my cricut vinyl cutter which should cut the thinner foam just fine

      That's a great idea! Check out our friend HarBeastie's incredible Thor build she did - she also used her Cricut! facebook.com/HarBeastiecosplay/

    Those ridges are pure metal...really nice paint application! I think the chicago screws would look better if flipped with the flat nub showing on the exterior, or if they were given a paint job to match awesome detail on the foam.

      I might flip the screws around. Good idea.

    Those turned out gorgeous. Painting non metal to look like metal always amazes me.
