IT'S SO BIG AND BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE IT! You did such a fantastic job Brittany! I loved Thor Ragnarok so much and seeing you make this made my afternoon.
Love how so many of your builds are free, really makes it easy and fast for people like me that don't have a ton of spare cash to be able to copy your projects. Thanks so much, love the tutorials too!
I don't craft at all but watching you doing this stuff is super relaxing. It as fascinating as watching someone blowing glass or working clay. Thank you for the videos!
You're most welcome! We find the process of building something - whether it's ours or someone else's project - to be a very rewarding process to watch too.
INCREDIBLE OUTCOME!!! also such excellent video production for this!! audio, music and the production footage was so superb for the whole 20 mins =D well done guys
Holly Crap! This video pretty much covered almost everything on how to make stuff out of foam. From making a base, making the template, cutting and glueing, detailing and painting. there was so much information. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Keep up the great work!
I was remember I watched at the movie. Thor: The Eternal Flame that Odin keeps locked away in Asgard? Surtur: Odin is not on Asgard. And your absence has left the throne defenseless. Thor: Okay. So... where is this crown? Surtur: [points at the crown] This is my crown. The source of my power! Thor: Oh, that's your crown? I thought it was a big eyebrow. Surtur: [annoyed] It's a crown!
This was really interesting to watch. I especially like how handy you are with carving the foam at beveled angles. That really demonstrates your experience with cutting such materials. Great video! Thanks for posting it!
Thanks so much for this awesome video! My first EVA foam experience was making the Wuuthrad axe for my daughter this past Halloween and it came out great. The templates and tutorials you guys provide are extremely helpful. I love all things skull related, so I can’t wait to try this!
WOW! i just found a way to create something that I have wanted for several years from Bram Stoker's Dracula. The red battle armor and helmet from the beginning of the movie. It's going to be very time consuming but at least now I have a starting point. Your attention to detail is awesome! Thank you so much!
Looks absolutely amazing. You are very very talented. I'm blown away right from the beginning when I first saw u holding it up. Its massively gorgeous 😍
Stunning! The digital aspects are pretty daunting, but also inspiring. This build proves nearly anything is possible! Beautiful work and best Punished Prop video ever!
Glad you liked it! I think I would have had more fun making the skull template base from crumpled up paper and foil than modifying my 3D model. The 3D model was super handy for the horns, though.
This was really awesome and inspiring to watch! We've been itching to do more prop builds and we feel like we learned a ton from this video. Also - montage!!!!! 😂😂
What an amazing project. It looks Great!! I can tell that a lot of work went into this and the results speak for themselves. Keep up the good work. Thanks for posting the build.
What an awesome prop, during your crafting montage, the music made me wish you would add “ With Doran Doran” under the Punished Props logo, lol. Love the channel, gives me inspiration and confidence to keep building
That was impessive to say the least, what a brilliant job you did. The final product was well worth the effort. Thanks for showing us how, I may even tackle this one myself. :D
Ive always boohood eva foam... Always worried about its lack of strength and makes me think too much of foam weapons used in larp... But i must admit this video has really switched me round... Its an amazing build
Britt! That thing is totally crazy-awesome! :D I had to wait until bluray to see the movie, so I only just saw it the other day, and as soon as Thor slung the skull across his back I was like "Oh man, what a perfect prop to make out of EVA foam..." followed shortly by "...well, for _someone else_ to make out of EVA foam." Great build, and great video! (lol, that intro)
Been wanting to make a mounted Troll head for awhile and was always thinking making with a wireframe and fabrics but might be more interesting to try and make the head out of foam and stuff
Awesome! I'm curious about the plastic mesh Kazplay has been testing. Seems like it may be good for creature head forms: facebook.com/pg/Kazulcosplay/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2001382153437920
It's been a while since I've watched your videos and I have to say Britt that your presentation style has really improved and this video was a blast to watch. Also that prop is so cool that I feel sad not having enough space to hang a thing like that if I ever decided to make one. :D
Amazing video Brittany!!! That thing came out CRAZY good!
Aw, thank you!
Such a multi-faceted art form: from the initial digital wizardry to pattern-making, gluing, and painting. Reminds me of how medieval armor was made.
It looks like it would have been easier to kill surtur than making this, based on the amount of details on it
Hahaa! That just might be true. =)
IT'S SO BIG AND BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE IT! You did such a fantastic job Brittany! I loved Thor Ragnarok so much and seeing you make this made my afternoon.
Thank yoooooooou
this what she proclaimed
OMG!! That thing IS HUGE!! Beautiful details! Wow! Nice work!
Thanks dude!
Love how so many of your builds are free, really makes it easy and fast for people like me that don't have a ton of spare cash to be able to copy your projects. Thanks so much, love the tutorials too!
So glad you're having fun making!
This is beyond amazing. The amount of work is proportional to the quality of the result.
Thanks so much!

Thank you, Andrew!
Surprised to find you here.
Dont heat seal the EVA, the heat gun will give him power!!!
Ha!!! I missed out on a great joke to use in the video...
Awesome! I've had a project in mind for years but just couldn't think of how to do it without it weighing a ton, this video answered that question.

Wow, your screen precence has gone a long way from your first vids!!
Smoke and leds for the eyes if you put it on the wall!
Thank you! If I do the lighting electronics, it may smoke on its own! :D I'll get Bill to help me with that...
I was remember I watched at the movie.
Thor:
The Eternal Flame that Odin keeps locked away in Asgard?
Surtur:

I can't believe this is made of foam! It's so crazy detailed. Amazing!

Punished Props This is the trick of prop-making: matching the method to the prop. You have a lot of methods at your disposal, old school and new!
