Thanks Matt. You have the best Ranger Raptor videos on RUclips. I'm hoping you don't run out of stuff to post videos of since everything has been very helpful! 😉
Thanks for the info! I heard there is also one that makes the truck think the hood is always unlatched so it won’t enable auto start stop, that sounds terrible because then the truck will always be reminding you that the hood is unlatched, and then what if it really is unlatched and you disregard that and it comes flying up on the freeway haha.
FYI I have the australian one that connects to the button. Install couldnt be easier, everything is by hand except for pulling out the fuse. Took under 10 mins
@@flaberdoopin Just came today and I installed it in about 10 minutes in my front yard. Thanks to your video, I knew where to pull the plug and it made plugging in the new one easier, thanks for the informative video.

Lucky Dog. LOL Very nice. I ordered the same one on Wednesday, but mine has not shown up yet. Thanks for the excellent how too video! The bad thing was I had already bought a similar device from Australia, a month or so ago. But that one you have to tear the whole center console apart to install it, So, when I saw this one on the Ranger Forum this week, it looked a lot more like how my Bronco S/S eliminator installed behind the glove box quick and easy. So I ordered it as well. At the moment since I have not had a chance to fix my dead R button with your battery reboot trick, I am really wishing I had this eliminator installed. You ran the same test I was curious about, excellent. very nice.
Right on. I figured I wasn’t the only person wondering about the different modes effects on the setting. This kit is super easy, better than the one I put in my Explorer. I am debating pulling the entire center console out of this truck to see if there is the making of rear vents somewhere in there that I can tap into to create some sort of work around.
You might try and look for a parts diagram of the Ranger Platinum model sold overseas, that platinum model Ranger has rear Ac vents. Ford designed the truck to accommodate that feature, just a matter of sorting all the parts needed to install on yours.
@@jdfleetguy28 All Ranger models in Australia has rear air vents - not just the platinum model. It's just standard for Rangers over here. I guess not having rear air vents in any new car sold in Australia wouldn't go down too well

It did turn the make the light on the outlet come on so the computer knew something was plugged in, but the auto shut off still happened at a red light. maybe in older models this worked but i guess ford got wise to it (or the regulators in the government said they needed to fix it)
My pet peeve about the display, is not being able to shut off. if we could hold the volume button as an « off » display, this would be awesome, right now one press will mute audio bit a long press should power off. All of my prior cars I could turn off the display.

In the us it has remote start on the key fob. Click lock then double click the remote start button directly under the lock button. Not sure if that is global. Interesting thing about the auto start/stop. I test drove a RR a couple months ago and i did not notice the auto start/stop every engaging (i did not turn it off for the test drive) when coming to a stop. Also my RR literally got delivered today to the dealership and when i check the order "Accessories" it has a line item "Auto Start-Stop Removal". are they not putting that feature in the trucks now? My '23 F150 Raptor does not have it at all and there is no button for it because what i was told was a chip issue (unfortunately the same chip issue meant i lost out on a heated steering wheel...hopefully that isn't the case with the RR too).
That's weird, they definitely still have it on these things but I'm glad that Ford is finally getting rid of it for the new trucks… or at least a few are coming without it.
I dont know... when i called the company about getting one for a buddy in australia, they said that they couldn't confirm if it would work on any vehicles other than the US spec.
