@@banditdog1338 it's a toddler that got attacked. If the toddler wasn't actively harming the puppy yes it is unprovoked. Not to mention if the dogs attacked a TODDLER they could have also attacked an adult. It just wouldn't have been as likely to be fatal if an adult was attacked. Those dogs should have absolutely been restrained to prevent this. The breeders are 100% responsible for this kid's death because dogs who just had babies are known for being aggressively territorial around strangers. I have some experience with breeders and I have actually been attacked by a momma who got out of a back yard while waiting for an Uber. You don't take chances with stuff like this unless you are irresponsible.

A hamster runs up to 9 km (~5miles?) foraging at night, so they actually need A LOT of space. Which means a large cage with 25-40cm (10-15") of bedding in height to dig tunnels in. They're not the easy pet it seems like. That's why they often st arve and unalive way too early. 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a roofing contractor I’ve been around countless vicious dogs. Once a man and his 60 lb mixed breed met me at my truck as I got my ladder out. The man was pleasant and his dog was calm though I knew since he only wanted to approach me from behind to be careful. The man told me what he wanted me to know and then he went back inside. As soon as the front door slammed closed the dog attacked me from behind. He bit me several times before I could react. Thankfully my clip board was made of metal and I kept him away from me while I backed up to my truck. I was so angry at that dog. By the time the man came back outside he asked me what was wrong. All I said was your dog did attacked me. He said as people always say, he has never bitten anyone. I threw my ladder in my truck and drove away. Another stop was a guy who had a lot going on across the street on a Saturday. A 3 year old girl was attacked by the family pit bull and killed while mom and dad slept in on a Saturday morning. The people were certain the dog had never been aggressive.

@@MosesGomez-o7eThat’s exactly why backyard breeders need to be stopped. They just get a pair of dogs they like and raise them until they’re old enough to start breeding and that’s what they do. They don’t breed for temperament, health or any other traits that would enhance the breed. They breed for money. A reputable breeder will only breed dogs with good temperament, no health issues, etc. This keeps the breed within breed standards as set by either the AKC or the Working Dog Breeders Association. They will also give you the puppy’s lineage going back at least four generations. With backyard breeders, they might have the names of their dogs’ parents but, probably no more than that. And they rarely have the information needed to have them registered. Please, please, please, stop buying from backyard breeders! You have no idea what could be wrong with the puppies and you could be getting one that’s going to cost you thousands in vet bills. Don’t take the chance. Buy from reputable, registered breeders who can give you names and contact info for past buyers so you can confirm the health and temperament of your puppy. It’s worth the money to buy from a breeder who’s registered with whichever group does the registration for their puppies.

Agreed. Parent Dogs, especially the mother dog should be kept away from strangers when you are showing puppies. If buyers want to see the Parent dogs, show them separately from the puppies, and don't let children come into that area. Leave the Parent dogs in your back yard or kennel, and take the puppies inside the house, garage, front yard, somewhere secure away from the parent dogs sight. By taking the puppies to another area, you relive the protective instinct of the Parent dogs. Children that age don't know how to handle, play with, or touch puppies. They will usually hold them wrong, pinch the puppies skin by trying to grab them, etc, causing the puppy to yelp and excite the Parent dogs. This is a tragic situation, condolences to the family.

I'll never forget. I went once with family and their young child when they were looking at adopting potential dogs and my female family member had shared with me that she was nervous. The dog might be too rambunctious, but her husband was really excited about it. It was a beautiful bully mix, kind of reminded me of chance from homeward bound. We went into a meeting area. Their daughter was about four or so at the time. I had been attacked by a dog as a child and just knew I wanted to keep my eyes on it. Thank goodness. Because at one point the parents were having a sidebar conversation and were not looking. While she was playing with the dog I noticed its body language was getting more aggressive. It lunged at her after jumping behind her and was trying to get its jaws around her neck. Without thinking I jumped between them and pushed my hand into its mouth and kept pressing until it gagged and backed off.
Animals can be wonderful and our best friends, but we need to be aware that they're still animals - Just because they're cute doesn't mean we know how they're going to behave.
I'm so sorry for this family. They were looking to add a family member and ended up losing a child. So good of them to donate his organs and I hope it gives them peace that he will live on in those children that he helps to save. 💞💐
    Edited for spelling

    Breeder needs to be charged.
Edit: I think ppl misinterpreted my comment. When I said breeder needs to be charged I meant this specific one as A) irresponsible breeder leaving the adult dogs in with the puppies whilst strangers are looking at the puppies. Any breeder worth their salt knows to lock the adult dogs away.
    B) even if the parent was lax and left the children alone with the strange dogs and puppy, the breeder should have known not to leave kids unattended with dogs. This behaviour indicates that this breeder is irresponsible and most likely just “breeds” for money and doesn’t address dog socialising issues/discipline - Which for these breeds IS A MUST.
ALL the adults in this situation let down the little boy. Parent shouldn’t have also allowed the child there unsupervised with strange dogs. Unfortunately, the family has had to pay a terrible price. Condolences to the family.

More specifically, these backyard breeders were breeding and selling an “XL variety” of American bullies... a variety with a bite force stronger than that of any other bully breed, including the pit bull. And so big, that one of the dogs had the 3-year-old’s entire head in its mouth. That’s how his skull and jaw broke. It should be ILLEGAL to breed and sell dogs that powerful out of your backyard.

2 months ago I was a on a stroller walk with my 2 yr old son in our neighbourhood, just walking down the street....when out of nowhere this dog runs our from a backyard super aggressive and immediately lunges at my son in the stroller. I swerve the stroller so hard it misses him by inches. Then the dog try’s to lunge at me and i swerve us harder again. The dog literally looks possessed by demons with its teeth barred and biting the air. It was a boxer/pit bull mix. Then the owner runs out frantically and calls the dog and by the GRACE of God, the dog snaps out of its frenzy - I saw its eyes change - and it pauses, then runs back to its owner. Like WHAT THE F. Once the dog was gone i yelled at the owner and I’m telling you I have never yelled at a neighbor or stranger ever in my life. They apologized but so? If they didn’t come out that dog would have attacked us and for what? We didn’t threaten it in anyway. We were walking by 2 feet away from the curb. I called the cops (which Ive never done on anyone) and all they said was they could offer them dog training courses. That’s it. They said if the dog didn’t actually attack you, we cant do anything. So that dog still lives to see daylight and will attack someone else. Maybe it will be a child walkin down the street to go to the park there. Dogs can be terrifying. I was terrified looking into this animals eyes.
