Oh I was having nightmares at first remembering spending a night hanging around the King's Cross area 1am - 6am a couple of weeks back - could have done with a nice wee hotel like the Point A that night I tell you! :) Great review mate!
That's a nice place, indeed! The last hotel I've stayed at in London was The MacDonald, also mere steps from the 2 stations. You definitely made me add Great Northern and Point A to my radar. Poke!!!
Hi Roger..... hey you got an absolute bargain there mate.. I loved everything about the place.... cheers for posting.... I'm going to put that hotel in my phone book. You do narf pull out some good cracking videos to watch..... cheers again mate.... Richard in Newcastle
Hi Roger, you got a good bargain for a central London hotel, near King's X. Room, bar, looked fine, but a bit weird they didn't do bacon and eggs! Plenty of choice however, to suit all tastes! Will keep both Point A, and the Great Northern Hotel in mind for future London trips! 👍 😊
Thanks for this review Roger! We will definitely keep Point A in mind when we next head to London. We have been stung before by Premier Inn and the price of their P-hubs. Hope you had a good trip!
Thanks for that. I'll keep it in mind for my next trip to London. Honestly I'd never heard of 'point a' and that is amazing considering that they seem to have hotels everywhere according to their website but I totally missed it and I'd thought I'd pretty well covered they area around the stations. The price is a bit more than my "budget" accommodations which invariably seem to be in some dive or other surrounding Argyle Square across the Euston Road from Kings cross. Then again they ARE dives and none of them offer breakfast and since they are in repurposed Edwardian(?) residences they seldom have usable lifts, at least ones that start at ground level.
@RogEdwardsTV You're very welcome !! 😀I agree 👍 w you ! It seems that they cater to their guests a lot & I love their boutique hotel like settings/ decor 😍 As well as the cleanness and very comfy beds !! Thanks so much for your reply !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇬🇧💕💞
I travel off season so the Hub there isn't expensive at all but it looks like this is very comparable so I know I'll be able to check both and get the better of the two. The rooms are pretty much the same.
I came back to watch this again ! Lol Because this video is really good ! I believe this one is the best video of all Point A hotel review videos I've watched ! 👏👏👍👍I'm wondering if the front entrance steps ( I believe just two steps from photos I've seen ) will be ok for someone in a wheelchair. I'm currently planning our trip to Wales & England & Germany & Italy with mom who's in a wheelchair. 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🏴🇬🇧🇮🇹💕💞
@RogEdwardsTV You're very welcome ! And thanks so much for the info/ suggestion !! I really appreciate it 🙏 I just watched another video of yours on the worst rated hotel in UK which was one of my original choices to revisit London in 2022 ! Lol. But,the reviews got me so scared 😱 & worried & chose Point A in Kensington area .The hotel was so lovely & the employees were ,too !! I am gonna post my comment there reg.the worst rated hotel video later .You did another wonderful review on it !! 👏👍 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Sorry premier inn is great value in kings cross not the hub, as that is more expensive. We traveled to premier inn in August for 7 nights for two rooms and cost 1365, which worked out as 98 pounds per night and it was worth it. Hint but nice to have a backup great video
I don’t get paid to promote anyone - not sure how you came to that conclusion.🤔 I paid for this hotel as I have paid for all trips on this channel with my own money! The breakfast was complimentary as they were doing a special offer on their website. 😀
Well you’ve a new subscriber here. That hotel is a great find. I’m working through your older video’s for tips as I do a lot of travelling and being self employed, I have to pay my own way. No expense account here. You’re doing a great job for me. Many thanks.

Ha ha! I remember seeing the pictures! Cheers! 😂😂
Looking for some help can't find the point a app
@@brianmillar2014 Hi Brian. They don’t appear to have an App as far as I can tell. However their website is mobile friendly. 😀

The Great Northern is my top priority for a future video in London. It looks fab on the website. 🏢😀

Thanks Richard! Appreciate your support as always! 😀
Grear review, many thanks. I love hotels but have never stayed in a Point A so very interesting to see what they are like!
Thanks for watching - appreciate the comment! 😀

Cheers Alan! There are quite a few London cafes around there offering great breakfasts for those of us with bacon withdrawal! 😂
@@RogEdwardsTV Thanks Roger, that's good to know! Do like my bacon & the other extras, when I have a full English! 👍
The ibis hotels can be cheap depending when you book them
True enough. 😀
Really good value!
Especially for London! 😀
I'm booked to stay here in October.
Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching. Enjoy your trip. Let me know what you think of the hotel. 😀
Thanks for this review Roger! We will definitely keep Point A in mind when we next head to London. We have been stung before by Premier Inn and the price of their P-hubs. Hope you had a good trip!
Thanks so much! Glad you had a good time in Croatia! 😀
Looks like a nice enough hotel, we'll keep our eyes out for the "Point-A" hotel brand on our travels after this vlog!
Thanks so much! Definitely worth a look. 😀

Yeah, I’ve stayed in a few of those “Edwardian” hotels near Kings Cross. Even the dives cost a fortune these days! 🤔
Very nice review !! I love Point A hotels !! I've stayed at one in Olympia/ Kensington for a few nights ! It was very lovely 😍 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇬🇧💕💞
Thanks for watching. Point A Hotels are consistent, unlike some of the other “low cost” hotels! 😀

I’ve not had much luck getting cheap rates at Hubs for ages - but I’m probably trying to book at busy times to be fair. Thanks for watching. 😀
@@RogEdwardsTV I'm certainly going to be checking BOTH from here on in! (Also, I'm using Canadian $$ which is usually shite!)
Absolutely worth the price, I have paid £300 for a very very small room at Radisson Blu. Though the breakfast was outstanding.
Totally agree! It was an absolute steal for London! 😀
Stayed at the Great Northern Hotel quite a few times in the 80's. We loved their buffet breakfast! Hope you get to stay there soon.
Thanks so much! 😀

Thanks! I can’t remember what the entrance looked like. But I’m sure they’ll have a portable ramp if you get in touch. 😀

You got a phenomenal price. Thanks for watching. 😀
Thank you for good information. I am first going to go to UK next year. Is that just a double room with window?
That's right. You can book rooms without windows for lower rates. Thanks for watching.
Nice hotel at a low price! Not often you get good hotels as cheap as that to be honest.
Incredible price for London at the moment. Even Travelodge can be north of £300 these days. 😮
Is it safe walk to hotel at night, that zone has night activities
It's a very busy part of town with lots of bars and restaurants, and I would say it's definitely safe. But as in all cities just be careful. 😀
been on point a glasgow two weeks ago whit my wife super nice hotel
Glas you enjoyed it. 😀
Pretty sure the glass in the bathroom is for your toothbrush / mouthwash
Thanks for watching!
No tea kettle, no coffee? Sorry, I'll pass. I do like the video. I like the Kings Cross area.
Thanks for watching. 🙌
@@RogEdwardsTV 👍
where your youtube video this saturday rog edwards tv?
Where would you like me to go and film a video? 🤔
Did you pay the extra for a window?! 😂
When you book the option is to get a reduced rate for a windowless room rather than offering a window as an upgrade (if that makes sense). 😂😂
@RogEdwardsTV it does. I've stayed in the Point A in Shoreditch and Paddington a few times. The mood lighting confused me the first time!
👍😂
£120 ?? I just tried......£243 !!!
Crikey! London must be busy! 😮
Yes,it really varies !! But,if you get lucky ,you'll find a real great deal !! I love Pont A hotels !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇬🇧💞
