Lovely presentation of the rich history and architecture of King’s Cross and St.Pancras. Food halls abound with varieties of world cuisines. It’s nice to see everything so clean. Yet another need to do/see, next time in London. Thank you.
Another week, another thousand subscribers, Hannah. and thoroughly well deserved, too. As ever, chatty and informative, you're delightful company on these excursions. Friday mornings here in California are invariably brightened by a cup of good coffee, and a walk around with you.🥰
Thanks so much!
@@HannahRicketts You're so welcome, Hannah!
I love the modern structures combined with the old. Thanks for another fabulous video. 😊
We need a Hannah Ricketts and Joolz Guide team up, throw in watched walker for good measure though he never has much to say.
True
And Queenie of London
Excellent idea ..😊
Brilliant
I enjoy all these people too.
Not boring at all! Love all the interesting facts and history and showing other places of London.
I love a bit of sofa travel 😍 Thank you Hannah for showing us this beautiful area of London 😊I don't think I have ever seen someone mopping a pavement before!😄
Hi Hannah, as soon as I saw that gorgeous staircase I knew it was the Spice Girls' debut video. What a hit and what a memory. Thanks for the splendid tour. :)
Hannah, I just really love your videos. They’re so interesting and you do a great commentary, don’t change. Hope you do them for a long time👍👍👍
Hannah! this is one of my favorite areas you've taken us! The level of information you provide about every area you go is amazing, truly. And I completely believe everything you say and if someone ever contradicts what you've shared with them they will be branded a liar to me. lol Seriously though you would have an amazing tour guide business if you were ever inclined. thank you as always for sharing this with us! xoxo
thanks so much!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make all of your vlogs. Please continue to do what you're doing. Greatly appreciated.
Now that's how you vlog a tour of London.....awesome video Hannah 🫶
❤️ The timing of this video couldn’t be more perfect! We will be arriving at St Pancras from Paris this week! London here we come! 🇨🇦
Great place St Pancras Station and all around Kings Cross is now very cool 👍👍👍👍
Hannah Thank you for being a wonderful ambassador for all things London!!❤️
I'm going to have to explore! When I travel to London by train I arrive at Paddington, I then get into a taxi to take me to my hotel. I've never looked at the areas around the stations. Thanks, Hannah for the encouragement. x
LOL I'm an old lady and I and loved the spice girls. I knew right off and that surprised me. What a fabulous area and I agree that the architecture is amazing. At this rate I'll have to book countless holidays to enjoy all the areas you've shown us. Thanks again for all the work you put into these informative and fun video tours.
Love this vlog, especially how you inserted the old photos on top of current locations - really adds to your tours. I know that adds a ton of extra time in editing, but it is noticed and appreciated!
When I first moved to London in 1977 Kings Cross was an awful area, really sleazy, dirty and definitely not somewhere you’d want to hang around. I used the station regularly as I used to travel by train up to Hull to visit my parents. The area has now changed beyond recognition. Another great video Hannah! You’ve made me want to visit it. It’s not somewhere I’ve ever thought of going to on our trips to London. Will definitely check it out
They’ve done a wonderful job of blending old and new buildings. I love that the history is preserved now instead of being torn down. It’s beautiful! You have a wealth of amazing places and history in London. It’s my favorite city in the world!
My daughter and I have an annual trip to London and always stay at a hotel near King’s Cross. It’s so handy for everything and we love the coal drops yard area… especially Dishoom! We’ve never had a bad meal. The whole feel of the area is amazing. I’m old enough to remember how it used to be…. Certainly different now. Thank you again for another wonderful video x
I'm coming up to London , week after B H Weekend for 3 nights ... I may look around here n grab a coffee ... looks nice
Great video 👍
Those gas storage units, every British cinemaphotographer's favorite shot in black and white fifties movies. I remember seeing a photo spread in a home decor magazine in the eighties where one had been made into an interesting home conversion.❤ Thank you.
I was amazed & awed by the absolutely stunning architecture, especially the ceilings in the train stations. Gorgeous! You’re doing wonderfully by mixing things up with the walk abouts, food, fashion….loving your channel🙋🏼♀️👏🏻
I worked across the Euston Road in the Seventies and Eighties, before the British Library and its multiple basements were pile driven into existence. There was a potato market which became a coach park. My new wife and I, in 1981, caught a coach from there to Luton Airport to fly to Malta on our honeymoon. In 1985 we moved to Yorkshire and never returned, other than to visit. The transformation of the area is stunning! More so, because every time I visit something new appears.
Hello from California! This was perfect b/c it looks like we'll be spending our last night in London in this very area after returning from Scotland. It looks just right for wandering around and finding somewhere to eat and just relax before departing back to LA the next day.
Hello from L.A.!! I love St.pancras International station !! I hope you had a wonderful time there !! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇬🇧💞
@@spark_6710 We sure did! We didn't get to go inside though. =(
"Never more than 50 yards from an oat latte" Hilarious commentary and cultural insight from Hannah. I love this area of London, there are some the best restaurants here that can satisfy any craving you are having from steak and potatoes to the more adventurous.
Hannah for years I commuted on High Speed 1 from Folkestone into St P. it was so interesting seeing the redevelopment of the area over those years. Just a few weeks back i was early for my train to Scotland from kings X and had my first walk around the area was very impressed. The hotel at St P I have stayed in a few times it really was rather lovely and has details of some of the history of the original hotel which was very interesting and rather romantic.
Fabulous photography and history lesson! Interesting how the area has changed through the years
No, it was not ‘boring’, Hannah! Fascinating introduction to an area unknown to me. Great job, and thank you.
I absolutely LOVE your stream of consciousness chatter. It’s so fun to listen to. Your videos are amazing! Keep them coming. ❤
I love modern structures combined with the old. Very nice place, thanks for this entertaining video.
I actually walked this area with my son as his Uni dormitory was not so far from there. I was also surprized to know the apartments converted from gas holder 😮
And another great Friday vlog Hannah ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Great video! Really enjoyed it.
Hi Hannah! Love your new video! I love the fact that you give a bit of history to your tours. I hope you always have that in your videos to come.❤❤
Hi Hannah, I love all your vlogs. SUPER SUPER NICE. It still looks cold in London. Here the weather in DC is lovely. I hope to visit London in September. Happy Friday, and I hope you have a great weekend. 💐🇬🇧❤🇺🇸💐
Really enjoyed that blog! Thanks!
I love how you show us lots of London that I wouldn’t even think about. So fun!
Great walk Hannah - loved the way they've mixed all the old with the new - Definitely a great improvement - London has had a great face lift haha x
Another fun, informative vlog! Hubby and I will be flying over to London from USA mid September for our son's wedding. He lives in Guildford. I now want to spend some time in this area of London because of your lovely vlog! We love you sweet, beautiful Hannah!! Thank you for sharing your time with us! ❤❤❤
loved it Hannah!.....really good
Thanks! ANOTHER INTERESTING/IMFORMATIVE 🇬🇧 video from the beautiful Ms.Ricketts...You were BLESSED with the most BEAUTIFUL voice EVER!!! I can listen to you say "BURRITO" ALL DAY LONG !!! 😆... Stay Safe @ get yourself a ☕ AT RALPHS.
Thanks so much!! Really appreciate the support!
Thanks for taking us on this amazing area! Agree and love all you say about it. OMG yet another great memory when you went past the Searcy's area and seating and showing the menu card for bubbly etc.!😄🥰 We had our Wedding Reception and buffet at Searcy's In Pavilion Road, just off Sloane Street, Knightsbridge! Almost 50 years ago on Saturday 15th September 1973!! This was after our wedding in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Farm Street, London W1! In fact we are keeping our fingers crossed to have our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration as a 'Sparkling Afternoon Tea' at The Devon Hotel on the edge of Exeter, Devon on Sunday afternoon 17th September with some 'old' friends and family - a few were at our wedding (including my Chief Bridesmaid who is a friend for many years from our childhood! )In fact your whole vlog is wonderful with all the history you incorporated in to it, along with pretty canals, locks etc. please keep them coming - like a happy hour on our sofas watching! 😂🤩🌹🌻💐🍾🥂🍰🥧Love and best wishes Christina and Nick, Crediton, Devon UK.
I've wanted to write you a thank you for a long time. Every friday you post a video here. for me it is a highlight every friday. Thank you very much Hannah. Go on. You're Marvellous. Thanks very much.
Fantastic as usual ..... so interesting..thank you Hannah
It's always an amazing video 📹 🙌 ❤️
Loved this one Hannah 😂👍Thankyou 😘
Another great , informative sequence of areas ! Interesting to see the contrast between the “ crowdiness “ of Camden Lock , and this more spread -out ness of the areas you walk through here . Also , the Kings Place venue is a really newish cultural centre , where many types of events happen . Well done for highlighting this historic area.
Amazed at how much research and thought goes into these videos, they're always such a joy to watch and I'm thrilled you're making them, because they come out SO good.
And yes, please do more fashion. I absolutely love that.!! harrods is one of my favorites!
Brilliant video Hannah thank you 🤍🤍
Interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you
Love your walk arounds taking us to all the places Hannah!! All those food choices so hard to resist lol
St. Pancreas absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the Friday walk, you make a great tour guide ☺️. Every Friday for 25-30 minutes it feels like I went on a short vacation, lol. Thanks again for the great Vlog, see you next Friday. Happy weekend.❤🌼
I love your video. Keep up the good work Hannah.
These videos just get better and better… amazing shots, amazing info, amazing lady…. Even if content gets less or more infrequent/ frequent, hopefully we always get to enjoy these always! ♥️🧡♥️
Yes! Hannah on the BBC! You have a very natural way of talking and are a wealth of information! Love your videos!
It’s the way you do things like slot in a little reference to the need for WD40 on the squeaky swing, mid sentence, that makes me chuckle all the way through! You really showcase London the way only a local with a positive and observant perspective on life & vlogging can capture. Loved this, as always!
Very enjoyable 🛍
Last week I had the opportunity to go for a walk around my city and I really enjoyed it. I want to do that more often so thanks for the inspiration! I feel like walking around London is the pinnacle of city walks, but Vancouver will have to do!
Another fantastic video Hannah! Beautifully shot per usual! Thank you again. Looking forward to the next mini adventure. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light♥️C.
Dear Hannah just watched your latest video.loved ❤ it you are So lucky there’s always something going on.keep making the videos.XO 🌹

I’m loving your videos Hannah! I thought I knew London fairly well but you’re opening my eyes to so many different and exciting places 😊
I just love every section of London! It’s such a beautiful city!! 😍😍
So glad you showed this area and how it’s changed! Whilst visiting family a few years back, we enjoyed a lovely dinner and drinks at The German Gymnasium. Highly recommend!
Really enjoyed, loved the information on the history of the area 😊
Your videos are informative and so well done! Bravo! and you are adorable as well😀
Great tour and very authoritative as all your videos are 😊, as a Canadian , your information really helps me out when I travel to London 🇬🇧
Great Video Hannah! Not boring at all. Thanks for transporting me from my couch in Toronto, with my M&S cup of tea, to a bit of London that I’ve not yet visited 💖
I lived not too far from a big gasometer in Manchester, during the day the tank would rise up & down, when the need for gas was at its highest the tank fell & when demand was low it would rise as demand lessened. It was fascinating watching the different stages during the day but sometimes when I was small the smell was terrible but that changed when natural gas came in. Lots of suicides were committed using old fashioned gas & I was training at the hospital in Manchester with the hyperbaric machine which the patient was enclosed inside for oxygen, sometimes it worked & sometimes it didn’t, it depended on how much gas was ingested. I would never have believed that they would one day be turned into apartments, it would’ve been fantastic if the old up/down mechanism was still in action so the apartments moved up & down all day! Very enjoyable vlog Hannah, thank-you very much, see you next week xxx
Loved it, so interesting how much it has changed. My friend used to live in a hotel in Kings Cross in the 90's and it was so seedy then!
Hannah, thanks so much for this video. I loved it. Super interesting and super fun. You are a truly talented tour guide.
You are delightful Hannah. Keep sharing your London with us, please.
What a beautiful area. I have taken a train from St Pancreas station but did not realise what lies the other side. The hotel is stunning. Thank you so much Hannah. I am getting ideas of places to visit when I am next in London. So much to see. Love the history.
LOVED this video, Hannah !! You’re such a sweetheart for going to all these interesting places and for making them so much fun for us !! I’m in awe of all the cafes and restaurants to choose from .. not to mention the history everywhere you go. So much I missed, even though I grew up there !! 😊
Your uploads are one of the highlights of my week, you’re so informative and put so much effort into your videos ! It really makes my work week and uni workload have some joy sprinkled in
Fantastic job Hannah, I love hearing the history bits along the way. Thank you for getting out and about in the weather. Love you and your channel 😍
Dearest Hannah, your incredible vlogs always wake memories. Who would have thought a gassometer would make me nostalgic. When I was little, in 1950s, and we had a nice summer Sunday and my mother was not working. We used to get a bus to Brentford, another large gas works, and walk to the Thames to a where there was a very large pub, old can't remember the name (Crooked Billet? ), then walk down to Richmond Park and Hampton Court. There we would spend the day with a picnic and in the late afternoon and walk back and at the pub, there used to be a cooked seafood stall and ,if dad had money, he would treat us and we would take them home for tea. I am so loving this series, thank you so much for giving up so much of your precious free time.❤❤👋👋👵
Lovely tour of King's Cross and the surrounding area. I think it would be interesting if you added a person to interview when you are at a location who is from the area to share a quick sentence or two about the location. I love that you share a small bit of history of the location you are vloging in.
Great video ! Loved seeing the historical pictures and then how it looks today. Always enjoy your tours, and all your useful information . Thanks Hannah :)
Great video, really enjoyed it. So interesting to see an area of London which people aren't really aware of, except as a travel hub. Thank you Hannah! Xx
Lovely, informative video Hannah. Thank you so very much for doing this walking tour of both stations. My son and I were there this past May. It was nice seeing these historic stations again. ❤
Hi, living in Spain now, but visiting UK in Sept to spend time with family and friends. Have booked a night stay in Kings Cross so your video was so interesting to see how the area has changed, Looking forward to checking it all out. Really enjoy your style.❤
I lived in Kings Cross in the early 90’s. It was still pretty rundown then but I loved it. It was so close to Bloomsbury and other lovely spots. Thanks for the tour!
Thank you Hannah. Another great video. I love hearing the history on the area too. 😊
Yes!! I was there exactly a year ago. I stayed at a hotel across the street from the train station and went and explored the area. I was so pleasantly surprised by what they've done with the industrial buildings. Totally loved it. I had a dinner at Granger, fantastic soba with mushrooms. I hope to come back some time because I'd love to walk along the canal. Hannah, you totally made my day! Thank you :-)
Quite brilliant.
Great video Hannah discovering your RUclips channel has brought back so many memories from my youth (very long time ago), checking out the different areas, Kings Cross was a bit dodgy back in the 70s. One of my ancestors was the lock keeper at Camden Lock many moons ago too. Really look forward to your updates, keep them coming and thank you for the excellent work you do.
Hannah….As always a brilliant entertaining tour, the info and history that you give is amazing. Looking forward to the next adventure 😊
Thank you, Hannah for the local Londoner tour! Love it! Keep it up!
Hi @hannahlricketts I never get tired of watching your vlogs. It does feel like I’ve taken a lovely short holiday without ever leaving my home. 💕
So interesting, and how amazing they've sympathetically converted all the old mills and gas holders into the expensive apartments and parks. I grew up living near those types of gas-works (in the north) and what a pity the same thing wasnt done with them in my area. Love your videos, very informative xx
I found it fascinating! Thanks for the tour! Loved it. ❤ Architecture was a highlight, and food options, yes please. I always say goodmorning to the street sweepers so they feel appreciated as they do a difficult job. 😊
Hi Hannah! I just LOVE these videos! You always take us to the coolest little hidden gems! And, you're so natural and real! I just love all your videos... can't wait for some fashion fun next. Did I say I LOVE these videos 🤣?! You're the best, Hannah 🥂! Thanks so much!!
Hannah, thank you for sharing your passion for London with us. Keep being you and nobody else. You have taken us on fabulous couch vacations 😂. Oh, and you are too good for the BBC!!!
Great Video as always. ❤
Wow. Another great video.
Hi Hannah, I've been a subscriber for a year now & I just wanted to say that I love watching your videos. Please keep up the good work, as you certainly have a good eye for fashion & all the sights of London. Looking forward to your Christmas videos 🤗👍
Thank you so much!!
I can just concentrate two nice green eyes ❤😊who cares the stone walls of london 😊
