No boat to Sweden, train is ok but airplane fastest. Do not book hotel at airport in Stockholm, you will live very far away from the city. There are plenty of pretty cheap hotels in central Stockholm. Also with Copenhagen, you can live cheaper in Malmö, and have a quick train to Copenhagen. But do not stay at a hotel near Arlanda airport. Day pass (or three days) on SL in Stockholm for Metro is a tip, you can travel unlimited with boats, buses, metro and trams.

Not true, there are 4-5 ferry's to Sweden from Denmark, it might not be relevant if you are in Copenhagen, but to say there is no boats to Sweden is simply not true.

My tip is to check with your fans for some outside of the mainstream things to do. Especially in Denmark. Your Danish fans are great and hospitable people that really knows their cities!

You are so welcome to Denmark. One thing for sure, dont overbook your schedule trying to visit everything. The canal tours are nice. Even the danes use them. The most easy way to Sweden is via train. The trains stops at the airport. But Stockholm is far away so you should consider flying. If you are planning on only staying a full week you should change that into two weeks. Btw on the channel here ask if anyone wants to be your guide

The train from DK to SV is pretty smooth sailing and worry free. I even did that a lot as a Norwegian when I had to go from Bergen, NO to the South of Sweden for work quite a bit in my previous job. Went via DK. Don't go on a boat, unless you want that specifc expericence :)

2-3 days in Copenhagen are not much if you want to catch the vibe. It´s a great idea to take a bike ride on a tour, but remember you also can download an app and just rent a bike all over town. I will recommend a canal tour from Nyhavn just as a visit to "Reffen" where there are top notch authentic street food from around the world and a great vibe. You can sit in front of open fire, take a dip in the canal etc. Tivoli are well worth a visit as well. If only two full evenings I would go for Reffen and Tivoli. A rented bike from Reffen to where you are staying in Copenhagen with a little buzz on can be a wonderful ending to a great night out. You are chill but please remember to take a deep breath and a healthy long exhale as you leave the airport, you have arrived to Copenhagen. Relax and allow yourself the time to be present. The Metro cost same as entry fee to a taxi and will take you to the city centre cheap and fast. Metro/bus and train in Copenhagen are included in the Copenhagen card that I have seen other tourists find are a good deal. But you can also buy single trip, daily, multiple day, tickets for Metro at the airport. If you are totally jet lagged maybe just start by going down to a canal and have a beer in the grass and enjoy that we are not prune and like a dip in the water also when weather are good. If enjoying Danishes from the many great bakeries then remember to accompany it with a freshly brewed coffee. Welcome, and enjoy your stay.

Welcome to Sweden! If you only staying in Stockholm, you should absolutely visit the Vasa museum (that´s a must), Gamla Stan, walk along Strandvägen (or take the tram) to Djurgården (Where the Vasa museum is located, but all of Djurgården is beautiful). Enjoy the stunning view from Monteliusvägen and Fjällgatan on Södermalm. The City Hall is also worth a visit. Drottningholm, where the King and Queen lives. Go on a boat trip to the archipelago, for example to Vaxholm, Grinda or Sandhamn. If you stay a bit longer in Sweden . . Visby/Gotland is magical!! Also the archipelago of Gothenburg.

For accommodation, you should also have alook at ymca, airbnb, but a little outside town. Like in vooenhagen and even allborg there are local trains and good public transport to town centrr, or grab a public bicycle in Copenhagen and drive around on it, but remember to lesrn the bicycle rules

Welcome to Denmark, I hope you will enjoy your stay with us. A couple of things that is a must try : 1. our hotdogs (we have chocolate milk with them, it is almost the law). 2. Original danish pastries like Spandaur, kringle and overskåren (st. Peder bakery in Copenhagen is the oldest bakery in town). 3. Smørrebrød (dont get it at torvehallerne like all the tik tokers, instead try Schønnemanns, a really cozy place with good service, also snaps is a must when eating smørrebrød, sip it, dont knock it back like a shot, it is a pallet cleanser). 4. Visit Tivoli at night, it is beautiful.

Copenhagen Gothenburg is cheapest and smoothest by bus or train.
All the bigger cities in Denmark and Sweden have Hop-on-hop-off bus sightseeing, and most of them have "city"-cards that give rebates, free entries and some give free bus/trains/underground/ferry/trams.

When you visit a place for the first time the ”main stream sites” are usually very nice to experience. Even just to walk down the streets in these, unfamiliar, environments and have an ”exotic” meal in a restaurant will be an adventure. Especially if you’ve never been abroad before.

You don't want to live next to the airport. Not in Sweden anyway. You only want to go to and from the airport when you come and go, the rest of the time you want to be as central as possible. The train from the airport is fast, but expensive. It is cheaper with the airport bus. The cheapest but the option that takes the longest is to take a regular city bus to Märsta and take a train from there. Remember to take it easy and breathe, and ask people for help. There are information desks, but you can also ask someone standing outside the airport who doesn't look stressed. Welcome to Scandinavia! It will be fun to follow! We are here if you want to post questions.

If you visit Stockholm and want to visit some museums, then hit me up - I've worked at almost all of them.
There's a lot of hotels and Hostels in the city, and the airport are far, far from the city. There's even an old sailing ship hostel.

Whatever you do. Do not stay at any hotel near arlanda. Its about an hour drive from arlanda to stockholm city. You should definitely stay in stockholm city. And please! Get a boatride out in the stockholm archipelago! It will be absolutely amazing during the time you are here.

I will be surprised if you meet a Dane or a Swede not being able to communicate in English - so no need to stress about language.
Please do not rent a car for travelling in Denmark. Tourists tends to be the ones who hit cyclists by their cars, since tourist are not used to be aware of cyclist.
I hope you have a lovely vacation!

In Stockholm, id say u should visit the Vasa museum. the old town, skansen. If you like constructions/ buildings, u might aswell go check out "Globen" in Solna. It basicly kinda look like a enormous gold ball lol
When it comes to languages, Swedish is way easier to understand than Danish. Im Swedish, and not even i understand what tha Danes are saying sometimes lol, Well u will get by in both countries whitout knowing a single word of Danish/Swedish. Most people can speak and understand English. And alot of signs have English writing on them. If u do want to use some Swedish however in Sweden. Then couple of basic words is " Hej = Hello " Tack = Thanks . Tack så mycket = Thank you very much. Hejdå = Goodbye . "Jag = I " " Tid = Time " " Ja= Yes" "Nej= No" "God morgon = Good morning " Well i guess u could have googled all those words whitout me writing it lol,
Enjoy your stay in Sweden and Denmark.
