Hey guys just a quick question for all of you if you guys can help out,, not and experienced Rc driver ok and I’m looking for a good set of batteries for my Rc car,, I’m looking everywhere and I come across this video,, hrb batteries look great for the price traxxas looks cool too a little more cash of course but,,, my question is which company offer like better warranty for your batteries over time guys if you can help me whit your expertise it will be appreciated thanks Rc people
The warranty is insane with traxxas. They’ve replaced about 20 of my batteries so far. I run about 8-14 batteries a week. Traxxas and many many others. I’ve built my own batteries. Nothing about them are special besides I get them replaced before a year is up and if one makes it past the warranty I sometimes still get it for free or a heavy discount. Buy Traxxas if you are starting out. Build your own if you have a lot of free time. Buy other trusted brands if you get them at half price as you aren’t getting much if any warranty.
I have the same experience with my five Traxxas batteries, the oldest one is nearing three years of dutiful service and I can still compare its performance to the new one I bought a mere few months ago. I always storage charge my batteries when not using them. Traxxas has an exchange program that let's you exchange a battery that fails within a year of purchase for half the price. If yours failed after only six months, you can probably still use their program. /Rustler 4x4 VXL and E-Revo 2.0
Have a Rustler 4x4 too. Just got it. Bought traxxas 2s 5000 and a 3s 5000mah. Just went with what the hobby shop recommended. Trying to find something slightly cheaper that I don’t need adaptors for. Found your video and ordered a 2pk 3s hard case for about $15 more than 1 3s traxxas. Hopefully they last.
Tbh the thing I don’t trust with off brand lipos are the amp capacity un like Traxxas batteries I have had a Traxxas 3s 5000 amp that has been holding strong for 4 year and still balances great and has same run time so I am gunna stick with Traxxas and spectrum.
Yep, after I brought my second HRB battery, I find them not bad, this second one hold up a little more then half year now, it still work great, but the first one only last me three mouths, maybe caz I wasn't changing it right. So I have a emaxx brushed edition will those work on it sorry I'm just trying to figure out about lipos nimh battery suck And it has 8.4 volt batteries so if I get a lipo they only have 7.4 volt
If you have a damaged lipo traxxas battery, you can do there batterie warranty exchange, they charge you half , you just need to send the batteries back , but before you do. You need to put them in salt water for a week to kill the cells inside. I'm getting a new 3s 5000mah two of them and a 4s 5000mah for $140. Can't beat that !!

Quick question, I have nothing but Traxxas 2s and 3s Lipo's for my Traxxas Summit, Brushless E-Maxx and E-Revo 2.0,but all my 3s Lipo's are 5000mah and are too big for my 2wd Rustler VXL ,my Original Bigfoot #1 (which is now brushless) and even my Arrma Granite 4x4 BLX. I bought an ovonics which ive used for over a year and works great and very cheap. Also got a power hobby one and its good to. Not as cheap as the ovonics tho but way cheaper than the traxxas.
Awesome that you have had good luck outside of traxxas batteries. These hrbs have been awesome for me so far
Can you use traxxas 2/3 cell balance charger it's a small charger with 3 lights on it
I couldn't tell but do those batteries have the same connectors as the Traxxas battery?
What’s the best lipo battery I could use for my 1/10 summit, still using EVX-2 16.8 V esc
So I have a emaxx brushed edition will those work on it sorry I'm just trying to figure out about lipos nimh battery suck
And it has 8.4 volt batteries so if I get a lipo they only have 7.4 volt
So I noticed this video was made a year ago. How do you like the battery after having them for over a year?
They still work fantastic! I'd buy them over again.
@@GReviewz wow that's impressive I will probably get those then
If you have a damaged lipo traxxas battery, you can do there batterie warranty exchange, they charge you half , you just need to send the batteries back , but before you do. You need to put them in salt water for a week to kill the cells inside. I'm getting a new 3s 5000mah two of them and a 4s 5000mah for $140. Can't beat that !!
No traxxas for me to expensive. I run several different brands have one traxxas I got on trade will be my last cause of the id plug design. I race and have tried several brands only one failure that happened premature it was a gen ace. Prolly just a fluke. I have one turning 5600 batt that is still fine it is 7yrs old I use it for practice still.
I agree traxxas is too expensive. For sure.
What is a good battery charger
I like the traxxas ID charger personally amzn.to/3FmBl2e
totally agree
Best Batteries right? now to figure out the best Driveshafts?
GReviewz which driveshafts you looking to upgrade?
Love the teckno drive shafts simple quality
@@mattreadle4566 absolutely! I will always run Tekno CV's in all of my models!
Do u wanna use a 400 dollar Ebay turbo or want a 1400 garrett turbo for your mk4 supra
But.. I'm talking about a $200 GB marketplace rustler 4x4 vxl... not a coveted supra with a 2jz
Is it working on the Traxxas slash?
Yes it should, same motor and esc combo for the brushless version.
Can you use the traxxas charger with the HRB Batteries? Imma get a Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate so i want to spend less money. If theres a cheaper charger thats just as good then let me know!
Do these batteries work for the traxxas x maxx
I'm good I bought these batteries for my traxxas erevo 2.0 and did a speed run and destroyed my engine and burnt the plastic on my front differential don't know if it had anything to do with the batteries but I'm scared to use them again
Destroyed engine?
@@GReviewz I don't know if it was the batteries but traxxas replaced my engine I was still under warranty
So I was wondering, will the plugs on the herb battery’s fit the average 3s traxxas charger port?
Yes, that's why I bought them, plug and play.
@@GReviewz ah thanks, I was just worried I was gonna waste my money on a non-compatible source lol.
i had a doubt im gonna buy a slash so already im spending too much on it so i wanted cheaper batteries since these traxxas ones are too expensive, ur vid really helped with that but the slash doesnt have a balance port so what do i do with it??
can this accu get also in de traxxas bandit? pls let me know!
Hey man I’m planning to use a 3s vermilion with these, would I need to program the esc to run them or are they able to plug in and use immediately?
I have an M41 wide body boat by Traxxas , I’m looking at the HRB 11.1 volt 5200 50c are they compatible for my boat cheers🇨🇦
If your boat takes a 2s or a 3s battery, then yes. The hrb's should work fine.
@@GReviewz Thanks Brother
I have bandit Vxl first generation with short tray. Will this battery fit in the car. I have not been able to find a shorty battery for it. Seems only Traxxas sells it. Can you recommend a battery. 3s lipo?
How short is the tray? What are the measurements?
@@GReviewz length is 5.47 inches and height is 30mm max. Traxxas sells them but they are expensive and have low c rating.
I just bought the xmaxx today..... Can i use this battery? Also what charger do you use?
Congrats! someday i will buy an xmaxx. haha
The ones i feature in this video are 3s. if you just bought the new xmaxx, that goes up to 8s. dont quote me on the size or length, but these would be perfect in terms of performance and price: amzn.to/3dn2zYc
@@GReviewz hey... ya those batteries I can get here in canada.... I'm still unsure on the charger... Can u help? . These are the batteries I'm looking at www.amazon.ca/HRB-50C-100C-Connector-Quadcopter-Helicopter/dp/B07TFHKGB5/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=hrb+battery&qid=1602553686&sprefix=Hrb+battery&sr=8-6
@@PaulC112 With the 4s battery, you would need: amzn.to/3lIjabM
This is the canada listing for the traxxas charger you would need for a 4s battery.
@@GReviewz thanks alot.. One last question. I've seen a couple people say do not use other lipos with traxxas charger only use there batteries. I know people are doing what you are doing.... But is there any actual reason why one would suggest not to use any other battery? And only use traxxas batteries with traxxas charger?
Hey man, do you think these will work fine with the will fie the Traxxas Bronco model coming out this year? if so im going to order these. Also thanks for the video man.
Trx4?
Just got it today
Thanks for sharing your experience buddy! Is it possible to charge Traxxas batteries in a typical charger?
Should never charge traxxas batteries on any other charger than a traxxas charger and viceversa
@@aaronvasquez789 why not??
I've been using my Hyperion charger - bought the adapter for it (traxxas to banana-plugs) and always/only balance-charge and put them (Traxxas batteries) in storage when done. Has only been 2 months but LiPo is pretty much LiPo.
Make your the voltage is right, some Traxxas cars don't take more then 7.4v
Can anyone please tell me what is the difference between the volts? Currently I have a Slash VXL with 5000 MAH 2S 14.8V. I am trying to upgrade and go with an aftermarket battery (possibly the HRB) but I only see them in 11.1V. Will I get the same power with the lower voltage? Sorry, I was big in RC in mid 80s (LOL) and I just bought this Slash so I am trying to relearn. Thanks!!
In simple terms think of volts as speed and the MAH ,how long they last each run hope this helped
Will this batteries fit in my 4x4 brushed slash connector directly ? Or do i need to do solder or buy an adapter ?
I'm pretty sure you just have to do both
Nvm idk
What connectors do you use
Update...
how are the batteries now brother ty looking to buy for my rustler aswell
Batteries are great! Still last a very long time. Tons of power! Best batteries I have. If you end up grabbing them, please use my link. Same price as normal amazon.
The Traxxas 5000mah 3s lipos are too long for those 3 trucks, and I'm tired of just being able to run them on 2s, so my question is will these your showing fit? Thanks
Jonny, these specific batteries are the exact same size as the traxxas packs. You may have to go with a lower mah to fit if these dont.. I'm not exactly sure because I dont have a rustler 2wd.
How are they holding up?
Excellent! No issues what so ever! Love these lipos.
You know what they say. Everything is awesome till it’s not 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Batteries are still going strong
Hello!!! Which battery do you recomend me for the Traxxas REVO 3.3 nitro?! right now it has one of 5 cells, 6v, 1200 mAh. It not really good, I want something that give me more time than this one to race, thanks!!!
Here is a good one amzn.to/3Ds9psj
Hope this helps!
Im new at it. Use to have 3.1 motor. Gave up. Now i have trx4. Which battery better. Lipo? Fire risk. How about NiCd or Nimh? Which better safe. I do climbing. Not for speed
Hi there, for rock climbing you dont need lipo batteries, you could stick with nimh. However I use lipo batteries and I've never had a problem with fire. Knock on wood, just have to keep them and charger them in lipo safe containers, and always storage charge your batteries so they are stored in a balanced state. Hope that helps
Ok thank you.
Does it matter what voltage you use? If the car came with a 7.4v can you use a 14.8v battery?
Yes voltage does matter. Your esc will dictate what voltage battery it can handle
Im thinking about buying the 6000mah 3s lipo for my traxxas rustler 4x4 vxl. Will those fit in the battery compartment?
Does this fit the bronco
bought some 3s zeee power battery's and they only lasted 3 months.
I've had mine for 2 years now. They've been great.
I don’t know if you still respond but what batteries could work with a Slash 4x4 Vxl
Same batteries I'm using in the video should work for you. Link on the description.
Thank you
Also if I were to use a Hoovo battery which one would I use?
2S for racing, and if you don't want to break parts all the time. 3S if you want to go stupid fast and break parts.
I recommend HRB or any other Chinese battery if you don't Have the money. Traxxas batterys are a novelty, just like the Velineon brushless, or the american made Traxxas cars in general. There are cheaper, worse, or better stuff out there but it's not as consistent
For sure. Agreed!
