    I contest also the HRB 4S 9500mah are definitely the business. I came from Traxxas 4s 6700mah and these HRB are night and day difference. I’ve only cycled them twice so far and still haven’t drained them fully on a run! I can’t imagine when they are broken in. Mine came with XT60 connectors and these Traxxas to XT60 adapters but they don’t fit the traxxass plugs on my new XRT truck. I think they are gen 1 and my XRT has the gen 2. My hobby shop had the correct adapters. Hopefully I don’t melt the solder, think at that point I’ll go all IC5

    What charger are you using to charge the hrb? What connectors are you using?

  • @truerc
    @truerc 2 года назад +1

    Curious if there is a way to test discharge definitively? Wouldn't be surprising if some of these Chinese companies fudge the numbers on batts. Seen some with high discharge at very low prices.

    • @SuperFastRc
      @SuperFastRc  2 года назад +2

      You are right! I have experienced that exact issue with some packs. The way you test is to run the pack down to lvc and then your charger will give you a rough number of what it puts back in within 5-10% of actual capacity.

      100% with spare room.
      6700 stock (EXPENSIVE) Traxxas ones stats at the top
      I measure them as 178 x45 50 +/-2mm so each tray on the xmaxx can handle longer batteries. The cap for a comfortable fit seems to be W x H of about 48 X 50. I can get the clasps over (just) the swollen 6700 stock units so there are I would say about 4mm you can squeeze extra from the heights given below. I took the measurements from the corners
      My son's stock ones are puffing up after 3rd year of use but not intensive use bashing at all. Maybe pulling the kids around the garden on a peddle cart with it and the max6 ESC was too much for 25C batteries though so I can't blame traxxas for that.
      Have a look at my research so far if it's useful for anyone. I read that heavier Xmaxx = more prone to crash damage, but I guess for long life use on the flat and not bashing would be fine for these heavier ones. (or you are better driver than me 🙂
      So far for me the sweet spot toi replace the 6700's are the 8000mah Zee's but i'll keep looking now at the HRB's. Also note the traxxas 6700's say on the side 644grams, I measured both at 668 & 673, so are marked increase from the claim on the packet! I doubt the gasses built up weight the difference.
