Best charger I ever purchased is the HTRC C150. Interface is basic imax B6 style but this hasn't died like EVERY SINGLE Sky RC charger I've owned. I have a pair of these and they just keep going. I didn't buy a dual charger, like I wouldn't buy a phone with a built in answering machine in case one or the other dies. Another favorite for simple ease of use is the HOT RC A400 for 3&4 cell batteries. Just plug in and wait until it flashes that it's done.
I have almost all of them, recently got the ez peak live dual, best thing I have ever used, real plug and charge experience. Plug One wire, press one button, done. On your issue with the ez.peak, they have this life-time warranty that you can use to send the charger back and get a new one 50% cheaper
You forgot the two best chargers - Revolectrix Dual PowerLab 6 Touch and the Icharger 1040 duo. I have the Icharger 1040 - awesome!! They are both in the $350 range but it's worth it.
Ultra power up6+ is a beast of a charger honestly I would consider it the best charger out right now for the size and the power it has plus all the other features it has
Makes sense to travel light. I couldn't never go back to AC as a home charger. My i4010 duo with a Dell 24v 71A 1740w Power Supply, makes some magic happen.
I’ve been using the traxxas id charger (non Bluetooth) for about 5 years with absolutely no problems except occasional fan noise. Will prob upgrade to the id live when and if it dies. Great vid once again Mark thanks.
I love the protek chargers because when it has issues you can get it replaced or get some good help from their customer service on a new one. All of these other chargers(I have not tried the Spektrum) have fans that turn noisy eventually...this is my personal experience.I need to try the Spektrum chargers now just due to the size, that's stupid small!! I bought 2 used Ichargers for 200 and couldn't be more happier with them! One for home and one for travel...coupled with the battery knowledge I gained from RC Legend Dr.Titus I am now making my batteries work out before we go hit the track! You now have me worried about rain Mark...my chargers get subjected to a lot of dirt and dust but I have no clue what I'm gonna do if it rains. Keep the videos coming!!!
I had the same issue with the Traxxas dual live charger. I had it for about 3 months and only used it a handful of times. And they wanted 80 bucks to send me another one like you said... I'm going to spend that 80 bucks on a different charger, I think there are some issues with their chargers and I'd like to not have another failure 3 months from now.

Divide the Watts of the charger by the Voltage of the battery pack. This will tell you the maximum amp rate the charger can deliver (Watts / Voltage = Amps). For example, if using the Touch 625 AC and a 6S LiPo battery, you would divide 200 Watts by 22.2 Volts to realize a 9 Amp charge rate. This means that the charger can supply a maximum of 9 amps to a 22.2 Volt 6S battery. This amp rate will gradually reduce as the battery voltage increases during the charge cycle THANK ME LATER
traxxas charger is safe. cause if there is something wrong w battery it will not charge. had a 4s 6700 xmaxx battery go out on me after 2 and a half years. Ran the truck threw a deep mud puddle and now will only read 2 cells
I have 3 Traxxas ID chargers, I have the bigger dual charging one I keep at home and I keep the small 4 amp charger in my bag. I also use it with my 120watt Inverter in my Truck if Im out. Its small and light. I got another small one that the fan died it, I used it a few times and it doesn't even get hot without it lol
I got my nephew the same Traxxas Charger because it’s plug n play for his Traxxas stuff. Personally I’m using the Orion Advantage Touch duo at the track and I’ve got the older Advantage Touch on my bench. I’ve still got a LRP Phaser3 to run my old motor lathe and test n tune both brushed & brushless motors (yes I still use brushed motors 😂)

I purchased a Traxxas live dual charger in November 2023. Used it 3 or 4 times and it developed a mind of its own Regarding when it feels like powering up. I sent it back to Traxxas, they sent a replacement and the second dual live charger does the same thing.... Only powers up and works intermittently. I presume there's a bad batch. Now I've got to send the second one back. I have a Fleet of traxas batteries now and I don't even want to use their chargers. I don't know what to do.
I'm curious why you didn't mention the Venom Pro Duo charger. My local hobby billed it to me as among the best. It's a bit complicated and difficult to use but seems OK other than that. Oh, and all the pieces you have to tote around is annoying.
Looking at another listing online and I found this issue. @Mark check to see if there is a thin protective film over the Spectrum screen tha needs peeled off. Could be your lucky day!

Voltage meter resistance meter and its Bluetooth with a app. Ios and android. Traxxas for it to do as u say u need there batteries correct? You can use all the smart stuff on lets say a gens ace or reedy battery etc correct?
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe only Traxxas batteries work on this Traxxas charger as the balance port is integrated into the batteries.
One of the legs on my S2100 is not attached quite right so the unit doesn’t sit perfectly flat. A little annoying but not as bad as having to look at a bad screen! Sounds like they definitely have some QC Issues then. Also occasionally during the storage charge cycle, it will not sound the finish tone and will just sit there at 3.8V. If I stop the cycle and start the storage charge again, it will then tell me the cycle is finished. The charger and batteries are only a few months old. The Ultra Power combined scroll/confirm button is really really annoying. If there was a separate confirm button it would be perfect.

I have the Hota D6 Pro Dual Charger and it’s amazing. Hota is the OEM manufacturer of Spektrum, ISDT and Hobbymate as I understand. I used to have a Duratrax 235 and the 4 button chargers are kinda wonky. I like the ISDT/Hota/Hobbymate auto detection of the cell count. Super easy to use interface.
I have that G.T.Power A6-10, bought long time ago and since I was green, I paired it with regulated 5-15V DC, 0-15A, 200W Output Fusion PS200ADJ power supply, that also has a display ;-p And could probably power 4 of those chargers LOL Such a waste of money and space wasting setup, it's like 3x the size of the charger. The design of the charger with external radiatiors through whole front and rear AND built in fan makes it probably very dependable unit when it comes to heat management for consequtive high amps charges.
Question. What are your thoughts on traxxas adapter? I have traxxas charger but just bought an arrma 6s and it has the ec5 connector. Will an adapter work just as well or you wouldn't recommend? Thanks in advance

You can buy the little adapters that make the traxxas battery into a regular LiPo so you can charge it on a regular LiPo charger. Also all the Traxxas Live chargers have the regular balance lead plugs on the front of the charger so you can charge regular LiPos, they’re capped with a blue plastic cap.

Does anyone know a lipo charger than can properly balance charge a lipo ? One of my 4s lipo batteries it's not balanced 100% and the buggy coging when I press throttle and I can't buy a new lipo right now and I try to save this battery and i do a lot of storage chargings one after the other with the hope to see all the cells as much balanced is possible. The battery was always in storage mode but one of the cells is lower than the others and now the battery is useless. Please if someone knows a proper lipo charger tell me and I will try to buy it. All the batteries i have are not balanced 100% and I can't understand why we buy balance lipo chargers. Batteries are expensive and I try to save them for the longer-term is possible.
Race every Sunday 2 classes 3 races each so 6 races total and sometimes we run a flagpole race and there usually 20 mins between races. I have 7 batteries because there’s no way a charger with charge a battery back up in 20 mins. Running 2c 5500 mha don’t have i charger which is suppose to be fastest but not sure if they charge that fast
Venom pro duo charger is an excellent charger with great value for the money. And it comes with six or eight charge leads for different plug types.

I've got an iCharger 4010 at home. 2000w, two channel and 40 amps per channel. Then an iCharger S6 when I'm out, or an Imax B6 for the small stuff

My first S2100 came with the center button sunk in. I think their QC needs some work
The screen speck is a quality control thing and that is my main concern.

That spec is probably from the protective clear covering that goes over the display, I had one as well but removed the covering and it’s gone.

Pull the little plastic plates off the front of charger to expose the balance plugs for non-traxxas batteries.
You have a speck on your spektrum charger screen because you did not peel the plastic cover off the screen

The spec would do that for me as well. Can't stand when something new has an obvious QC problem as soon as you get it out the box.

I love traxxas chargers they are fast as hell and a 5 year old can do it !! Dynamite and Hitec make good ones too .

Yeah I always charge at 1C. I can see on occasion you want to charge at 2C or 3C if competition allows.

Nathan Duenas when you start to hit the amps and/or watts threshold. I wouldnt worry about heat to much. It should shut down before it gets too hot.

All the batteries i have are not balanced 100% and I can't understand why we buy balance lipo chargers. Batteries are expensive and I try to save them for the longer-term is possible.

Race every Sunday 2 classes 3 races each so 6 races total and sometimes we run a flagpole race and there usually 20 mins between races. I have 7 batteries because there’s no way a charger with charge a battery back up in 20 mins. Running 2c 5500 mha don’t have i charger which is suppose to be fastest but not sure if they charge that fast
