4:49 would be nice to see percentage of charge when you plug in the battery, like some other Chargers or tester show. I just bought this charger mainly because of internal resistance reading,
Thank you for the great video. 1. I have a 48 v 20 ah for ebike: It is a lithium batteery will this work? 2. Can it be set to charge 80% of capacity? 3.I have heard that a lipo charger can revive a dead lithium which has been sitting for about a year. Is this true. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge .
On this HOTA D6, does it come with everything needed like power cord and balance board? Do I need adapter to charge EC5 plug? Thanks ahead for any response
For those of you who want to charge as many batteries as fast as possible. Get yourself one or two F6 Hota chargers. Great thing about the Hota F6 is it has four channels. Keep in mind the Hota F6 is a DC charger, so you're going to need a DC power supply. For my personal setup I have a 24v 400w DC power supply to power my 2 Hota F6 chargers. Using this setup I can charge 8 1300 6s packs at 1.5c. I can charge them in about 30-40 mins.
Get two HP DPS 460's. Put them in series (isolate the DC from the AC, I can provide a parts list) and you'll have 24.4V-24.8V 40A at 1020W. I suggest running it no higher than 600W just to extend the lifetime of the power supply however they can run at full tilt. These are not Chinese junk PSU's that you have to derate 50% or they'll blow at 75%. I'm so done with those power supplies that really aren't even that cheap. The HP DPS series comes in 460W, 750W, 800W, 1200W and a few others. Many part numbers. For the most part they are very similar but there are some minor differences. I can provide help with the 460EB, 460MB, 1200FB, 1200SB. All of these units can be put in series up to at least 36V OVP can be tricked into allowing you to run them at 15V I am not 100% certain you can run them at 15V and series connect them but I am inclined to believe it is possible so long as you match the voltages and stay within the power limits given in watts on the label. A 1200W power supply with the voltage increased to 15V is no longer capable of outputting 100A. You now have an 80A PSU. Keep in mind there are limits to the power based on the electricity you provide. 110V has many limits on the 1200W model. The 1200's are limited to 900W at 110V and you want to make sure to never overload one 110V circuit with series connected PSU's.
@@ericklein5097 Yeah honestly I would like to have a bigger PSU so that I can consistently run it at 80% of its ratted output and make sure it lasts longer. I don't need anything crazy though 600w will be more than enough for me. I'm not running on a dedicated 120v circuit either but it is a low wattage circuit at least.
Hey bud 2 questions..Is the Ethix d6 exactly the same? and, I fly planes also and the G2 spectrum smart batteries are able to be charged with it? Thx in advance
I love mine but it did drop once leaving half the screen black. My son was 4 when he dropped it so it didn't have a far fall. But it landed onto the plywood floor of my trailer which is not soft. I still use the right side though.

im happy user od D6 pro (noisy fan) and F6, but there is new boy in town SkyRC D200NEO similar price tag, but more advanced features. Buildin bluetooth with nice app to monitoring of chargin process
ToolkitRC M6Dac is superior IMO. My Hota D6 Pro fan broke after 1 month of use and the storage/discharge feature is dog awful on it. Way slower than others in the same price range.
@@dronecamps Well I know you disagree haha your video says what you believe is the best. So far M6D been rocking for 2 years compared to the one month Hota but hopefully I can get it replaced.
FWIW...All wires on the balance cable, other than the outer, BLACK(negative) wire, are POSITIVE current. Why they use BLACK wires on all except the one RED, is beyond me. There should only be ONE BLACK wire, and the rest RED. I wouldn't use the RED dot as reference, as if someone plugs in a, lets use a 4S balance plug, to the RED side that won't work and hopefully the charger has a failsafe for that incorrectly plugged in balance cable.
I think the M6D or M9 are great. Have them both. After watching all the isdt reviews, the touch pannels and durability seems bad. Dont know about the HOTA, but Looks solid. Toolkit ist just more value for money
Looking forward too seeing the 8000mah lion pack I’ve had my eye on them for my chimera7 pro. Getting good results with the 4000mah but It feels like the quad can definitely carry more and for the charger I like it enough too buy a second one. Charge/storage time has been cut in half.
I grabbed a pair of the Fullsend 8000mAh Lions, and they are great! Definitely run the 7.5" props though. The Chimera7 still flies pretty lively for 20+ minutes, and you don't have to baby it too much since a big battery can push big amps safely.
@@overtorquednut Ahh that sounds great gonna grab one soon. I have those props in two blades form and 3. If you want to save a little more battery 2 bladed props is the way too go. Any chance of you making a video on those 8000 mah lion?
@@devon582 Yeah, check my channel for the Chimera7 at Dusk video, I think that one is with the 8000mAh battery. I keep having to cut my flights short though, because the OSD starts freezing up and I can't monitor voltage.
3:30 "iPhone" charger? Android phones had wireless charging long before Apple, and you still cannot reverse charge like you can do with a Samsung for example. Put your BT earbud case on the back and the phone charges them. Anyways, I forgot america is trapped by Apple
I always like when I find reviews and people I want the product for a few years. Thanks man.

Is there a charger in '23 or '24 you recommend for larger battery packs over 6s?

Can this be used to rebuild Prius Hybrid batteries? I'm looking for a charger to service moduals from a prius.

Isn’t it AC or DC?
Thanks Justin, does this HOTA plug straight into the wall socket or need some other power source🥺 newbie sorry?
Into the wall. Comes with a cord

My Hota Dual smart S6 just gave out on me and it’s only 3 months old 😡😡 Hopefully it’s covered under warranty.
