In this video, I give you a quick tour of my new truck.
As a HGV Truck Driver in the UK, trucking across the country delivering plant machinery can be challenging especially when its down tight, narrow county lanes.
Join me as I take you along, showing you the loading of the plant machinery, difficult manoeuvres as well as the other challenges that I face on a day to day basis and what I have to do to ovecome them.
If you enjoy the content dont forget it give it a like and why not leave a comment asking any questions you have about becoming HGV Driver and life on the road.

I was surprised to see the normal dials in the dash and not the LCD screen. Looks a half decent place to be but I love my little T520.

I have that pedestrian sensor in my DAF, don't pass them anymore so it doesn't bother me. I expect my next upgrade could be a MAN too lol (the company I work for only use DAF and MAN

Is the people detection for the DVS scheme coming in end of October which covers the whole ULEZ. Pretty sure you need camera's as well.

Yeah it's all for that and for the cameras on there. That's the screen that's turned off.

@@AshleyHaleUK - Yeah, my company covers all of London, all of our rentals we use for when trucks are off the road (bumps / servicing or break downs) none are DVS compliant.

We're getting all the trucks upgraded for the new regulations and it's costing £1700 fitted per truck, just so I can see a cyclist who shouldn't be there anyway!

@@AshleyHaleUK - We have the Spillard kit no end of trucks being defected. "Pedestrian detected" over and over again.
Also drivers knocking them off on tree/hedge branches.

Well the truck looks great, but you will find they do not like to launch themselves from a stop like when you need to join a roundabout, you will find yourself stranded.
