This video doesn't address using the stick in a new location where connecting to a new Wi-Fi network. The point of a Fire Stick is to be portable/mobile and if you take it to a hotel or another location, you can't change the WiFi setting on the fire stick first, so this video is basically useless in that case...

We had this problem and called amazon and there isn't a fix for the problem so they sent us a new fire stick for free 7 years put of warranty. Fantastic customer service.
Buy a Samsung smart tv and use the Samsung remote for the firestick. Not only that virtually all the old Samsung remotes work for the firestick and for the tv.
