Or maybe I misunderstood.
Just so everyone knows, Amazon ditching FireOS based on android is incorrect. What Amazon is using its new OS is for smart displays and smart devices excluding its Firesticks. This information comes from Amazon itself. Please dont fall for such videos.
A few quick observations: Although it appears likely, Amazon has yet to confirm a move away from an android based OS, specific to its fire devices. Additionally it's important to realize that Amazon's market share in the streaming market sits in third place, at just 14%. In fact, the leaders in the market are Roku at 49%, followed by Googles Chromecast at 23%. This would suggest that Amazon would likely benefit from the development of its own OS, offering better/longer software support and greater hardware longevity than the current approach allows. Frankly, the sideloading community represents a small but vocal minority and those who might leave the fire stick behind, because of Amazon's assumed move away from an android based OS, likely aren't part of Amazon's target audience anyway, as those consumers who do opt to sideload aren't likely subscribing to Amazon's services. I would advise against sideloading, if you use Alexa for home automation anyhow, as doing so could present security risks. The vast majority of firestick users are using these devices in their factory default configurations. Even if Amazon loses some market share, they will still see it in terms of a net gain, in terms of a tighter user base.
Think you will find that far higher , even my grandad uses a side loaded app for his footy as it’s black out in uk on Saturday afternoon footy . A lot of my friends have similar stuff , everyone has prime and Netflix but due to amazons have or are sourcing different devices .

Thank you for the recommendations.
Yes... Chinese devices are the worse so no point in waistng time or money there.
Also I think you should've added Roku to the list since basically, it is the same as any other of the devices in the list. Now we can argue about the interface, which is horrible but still works and is a very solid device. However it is customizable if you jailbreak it.
I do have a question about one of the devices you listed. It is about Chrome cast . Didn't Google announced that they will no longer support these devices, making them obsolete soon? Or maybe I misunderstood.
Thank you for the review! I'm planning on getting me an onn.
I have a decent app at fair price that has everything you need!
I have been quite pleased with the onn box but downloading third party apps is a little more difficult than the fire stick
Why? Are you using Downloader? I've found no difference side loading apps.
Just so everyone knows, Amazon ditching FireOS based on android is incorrect. What Amazon is using its new OS is for smart displays and smart devices excluding its Firesticks. This information comes from Amazon itself. Please dont fall for such videos.
Can Tivimate be used with the Onn set up?
Yes.
Good video! Do you know of a streamer that can broadcast to other devices in order to send out to the rest of the homes steamers and TV's? Also is the Onn Atmos?
You mean like a home device that streams to your home tvs, or an app?
Okay did Amazon say they're gonna actually on record do away with third party apps... I don't think they've,but youtubers keep putting this stuff out..
❤❤❤ love my firestick

I rarely use my fire sticks. I use my Samsung TV Apps 99% of the time. They work better.

Onn 4k pro is the best
Damn, I just got the firestick 4k for my projector!
Please tell or show me that Amazon itself has publicly stated that they are changing the OS on current FireSticks or Cubes.
Not job postings. Not rumors. Publicly stated.
All of these devices should have bare minimum storage of 16 to 32 GB.
