The antenna is the WI-FI antenna. You will get all of your local stations, as well as local stations throughout the US, utilizing the HEAT Live app. (The main app of the 4 HEAT apps on the box). The Ethernet port is 10/100/1000 (gigabit) if you choose to connect directly to your router/modem. However, the box works perfectly well over WI-FI. The VOD apps are all of your movies and TV series, while HEAT Live and Backup are the live TV apps. The box DOES NOT do recording! However, there is a 7 -day playback feature on some channels.
Yeah, figured out the lack of DVR (tho no obvious reason why that couldn't be added. What's the point of adding a 2TB external drive if you can't record things?). Interesting that the antenna is for wi-fi; I didn't see any indication of what its purpose was, but it does work well.
That’s what I thought but not true at all, basically your paying to stream off their private servers for their 2 apps, the Heat live TV and Heat VOD. You can watch whatever you want off of those apps. Otherwise it’s just an android TV box. You can not use their apps unless you buy a box and considering how much you could spend on TV services per month, pays for itself 3-4 months
Nice video, nice review. Its good for those that dont have a clue on how to sign up for any IPTV service, buy an android box for about $35. Set it up with your home internet privider, install the APK for the IPTV service, the one i use is only $10 a month and i get every channel available. Including all sports packages and PPVs. Premium channels and all local channels in every state. As well as downloading all the free movie apps available on the internet. Certainly much cheaper than paylng $340 . But it's nice to see what's available for others to cut the cord feom cable TV
I didn't demonstrate every feature of all the apps. I'll just say that you might be surprised at what you can watch without a subscription through the various "Heat" apps on the device. They're why people buy this unit, not because it can run the Netflix app.
No you cannot since it is server based. Browser is something else. But you can install Smart Tube (github) same as the original RUclips just ad free. SmartTube needs to be Sideloaded.
I've had intermittent problems all day not having live TV and not having either of Vods - at one point I actually had to go in and correct the date and the time. Ever since they updated it today, there have been issues.
If it's truly over-the-air then this box, and every other similar box, won't receive it. It's not a tuner, it's a streaming device. But a LOT of local channels are Internet accessible, so it might well be that your local networks are indeed accessible. You'd have to email vSeeBoxTV to clarify.
It's pretty much like all the other streaming boxes. You still need to sign up for those streaming services. I have an Apple TV, and it comes with tons of FREE services. I bundle with other Apple services and only pay a low monthly fee. Apple TV 4k is less than $200 with either net port.
Oh, the vSeeBox offers a bit more than just free public streams and apps. Notice how I was able to watch the (subscription service) AMC without logging in with an account...
I’m very interested in the live tv part and the other apps that appeared to lite you have access to pay Chanel’s for free. I’m following and look forward to seeing more. Thank you
Can you share what other apps you have that aren't available for this box? This does have an app store with downloads and should run anything compatible with AndroidTV...
@AskDaveTaylor the other apps come with vsee elite like limitless elite hd apex stream lawless sport access elite cinema elite vod elite hub and other all together is 24 apps the difference it with that box you show is running android 13 while vsee elite running android 10 the other apps can record also jas multiple screen
It's definitely interesting. The on screen guide could do with some tweaks (especially the "favorites" view in Heat Live) and I don't understand why I can't record to my local storage, but, yeah, I enjoyed some VOD b-movies last night for sure.
Do those VOD movies typically offer Closed Caption and/or Subtitle Options? Actually, I have the same question about the Live TV mode. I have a streaming box with a program installed in it similar to the HEAT program I believe, XCIPTV, but it does not provide CC on Live TV channels such as TCM, even though TCM movies typically do offer that option.
I don't know how they think people could be so $toopeed to buy that normal box for that amount of money. There are Google certified units for less than 100$ ...if someone wants to spend more, Nvidia shield and Fire TV Cube are the absolute best.
Hard pass. I can get 4 Roku Ultra (2024) boxes, which do everything I want to do, and have change left over. They play all the 4K media from my 200TB server flawlessly. Each of those .mkv files are minimally compressed at about 50-75gb per file.
Dolton, r u serious. Damn, that is more than what I pay now for Internet + DirecTV service.. I ain't paying that much for a box... Thanks for replying, U saved me and countless others money... hugz
The problem is is that the service is illegal and they're shutting them down left and right now the law's been changed so they can actually put people in prison that are providing these services so I would avoid it
Be aware that they're not 1:1 replacement services, Roku is more of an "access" device (with some content of its own), whereas DirectTV costs lots more, but offers access to a lot of content that you won't see with a Roku. That's the trade-off.
I'm looking to cut my cable off. Does this box he has and yours pick up live TV RUclips TV and HBO & fox without buying into a subscribtion? Or do I got to buy into it.
@@felixfischer312 I bet you still have to purchase RUclipsLive...my guess. And how did RUclips get to create the monopoly of being the only live TV provider?
I don't know that a device can "destroy" another device (tho I'd love to see a battle bot arena matchup!) and I've heard that the Elite uses different servers than the V5 Pro and that they're problematic. Are you not seeing that issue?
@@felixfischer312I just cancelled my RUclips TV. VSeeBox has every channel that RUclips TV has. The VSeeBox I have is the V3 Plus because the Live Ultra app has my local tv affiliates

I agree. Perhaps some day?

The price is a freaking JOKE. $330 dollars! My hacked 20 dollar Rokue stick does that and a sh** load more.

Yes. Let's talk about where I can fid more info on a Rokue stick hack. I want to do that.
Yes interested
@jonlock7150 you couldn't pay me enough to get that. I read where it's considered illegal to operate one....

What kind of Android box do you recommend?
What iptv service do you recommend ? I've heard some are pretty sketchy .😁
why would i get rid of my Roku ultra which does the same thing?? All the premium channels are still subscription!

For this price, is it ad free streaming? I would pay $340 to watch everything without commercials. Ads have gotten out of control!
To expensive and what happens if the Live TV service get shut down ? you be stuck with a whole bunch of nothing , not worth the risk for me
Why would Live be working fine, but VOD keeps buffering? A no from me
Since it is based on the Android OS, I wonder if you can install an ad blocker like Adguard that would block the youtube ads.
I'm using Sm×rtub3, it works perfectly.

If you want the multiple screen the vsee elite with extra app they have multiple screen
At $340.00, no way. This is NOT a good deal.
I have fire stick and tablo don't need anymore plus all the free channels I get off my smart TV
What about local OTA channels for local news.
I would interested to know about that as well.
