I can't understand your decision. I have been using this model for almost a year and I cannot imagine exchanging it for another car. This is my third Lexus (GS 460 enjoyed me without failure for 8 years, IS 250 for 4 years, and now this one ...) When I got it, I spent the first three nights in the garage;) It's true that the car is supposed to take you from point A to point B, but it doesn't matter in what style! The symphony that comes from the engine compartment is simply second to none. You will miss this orchestra! Thank you for a great video!
Thanks for your videos, you’re one of the reasons I got my ‘17 GS F. I think it might go down as the last few N/A V8 sedans, seems like all car manufacturers are focusing on EV for the near future. Best of luck on your next project.
Wow I can’t believe you’re selling it. Well I hope you had such a wonderful and pleasure experience with your GSF. Congratulations to lucky Roy in Texas. 😭😭😭
Also, I’ve heard that Lexus spent more time fine tuning the 8 speed to be better optimized for the Rcf as opposed to the gsf so you get way less jerkiness and better downshift rev matching
So thankful that the 2020 and new RCFs got a different final drive ratio (shorter gears) than the pre 2019 models which got the same gear ratio as your GSF
Thank you bro for all your "how to" videos and replies. You have been a huge help to the F'ers. Best wishes and good luck on your next purchase. 🙏 I would go with a Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio or Stelvio ( yes a SUV that performs like a sports car).

Hate to see her go bro. I’ve watched you enjoy the GSF for years. You inspired me to build a ESF although it doesn’t exist 😂 Best wishes going forward. What’s next?
Thanks...very much enjoyed watching your GSF videos which are very informative. I'm not sure about the gearing being too tall though. One of the sharpest, quickest motorcycles for a long time was the Yamaha R1 which reaches around 105mph in first gear (of 6) in just over 5 seconds. Gear changes of closer spaced gears can actually detract from acceleration. With an 8 speed transmission, you can afford to have a couple of very tall gears for more relaxed cruising (particularly on german autobahns with no speed limit) and better economy. Manual performance cars just have 6 gears, so the GSF which seems to top out in 6th gear seems to be appropriately geared to me. My GSF amazes me at the mpg I get at motorway/highway speeds, which I believe is down to the tall gearing of tne higher gears. Look forward to see what you end up getting for your next car 👍
@@wanyelewis9667 yes which is why I believe you can afford the top couple to be very tall. Comparable manuals (eg the Mustang) are 6 speed so the first 6 ratios of the GSF can be similar and the top 2 more overdrive for relaxed cruising and economy. The GSF will top out in 6th...for me the gearing is optimal for road use, where drivability and usability is of a higher priority to most than a couple of tenths off 0-60.

Same boat. Carmax offered me $42k for my 2016 with 64k miles. Thought about it but staying with the GSF for now. Will be trading for a Porsche Taycan Turbo when the market cools a little.
I hope to get one one day. You should have tossed in a GS350/GS450h differential (if you don’t have torque vectoring) in. Brings it from 2.92 to 3.76. Bolt in. With the very low first and second in the 8 speed going to a 4.10 is likely too short of a gear. Even 3.76 might be too short.

Hey man, Happy to see you upgrading. I went with rwd manual g80 personally (ordered), any of the three will be awesome. I personally think the rwd manual will bring me the most fun daily as it will be my first manual car. Sadly it will also be the slowest off the line and in general 🤷🏾♂️. My take is even stock and manual it should be faster than fbo F and only get faster from there. Should be an extensive amount of aftermarket available eventually or hopefully I should say.
I had a 2017 Lexus RCF, for roughly 11 months. Sold it and got a bmw 340i and it’s been tuned on E40 mix for about 40k miles now and not a single issue, bmw really has done well with their new motor (B58/S55/S58). Ok, I watched this entire video. I have a IS500 and have also driven a GS F before. I agree 100% that the gears are super tall and that the transmission is very clunky in Manual mode when you're not pushing it. My wife also says its too jerky LOL. I think you'll find the M3 to be smoother and tighter but with less character. In other words, it won't sound as good and throw you around as much.
Yes, but name one high power NA engined car that doesn't have long gears? My Porsches 4L Flat 6 is geared even higher, and to be honest, it's as much of a non-issue as it is in my GS F. The jerky shifts are a little annoying, but at the same time, why are you daisy driving and manually shifting anyway? When pushing, the gearbox is easily fast enough and the feeling you get then, when it feels like someone hits the gear in with a hammer, is fucking amazing. I enjoy the character it gives to the car as much as I enjoy the smoothness and quickness in my PDK.
I've been a lexus fan for many years. They just increased fines in Australia, so guess Ill stick to the slow shifting GSF. However, I totally understand what you mean, sounds like you just want a turbo in your car, N/A V8 wont give you that rapid response

I have a 2020 😉
What new car did you buy?
Get G80 manual! Hate to see you selling GS-F. I’ll be keeping mine forever!
Na auto
G80 M3 AWD all day long!!! Remember, you can drive car in rear wheel only also
Rwd on the M3 hooks almost as good as an awd model. You dont lose much.
I love long gearing
Ur opinion on the Lexus lc500
youd fit the m2
I’m more interested where you got that phone holder😭
Better get the crank hub upgraded in the M before you turn it up.
The new g80 has that issue solved it's a single piece crank hub now. So no worries there
Am I seeing things? Did the front of the car lift when it was being loaded onto the carrier? Didn't know these had a front lift on them...
I installed that. It don’t come stock
They just increased fines in Australia, so guess Ill stick to the slow shifting GSF. However, I totally understand what you mean, sounds like you just want a turbo in your car, N/A V8 wont give you that rapid response
Damn I would’ve bought the GSF
How about tlx aspec ?
He’s a clown…. Awww the gears Are so long….. and it takes away from the Acceleration awwwww poor pussycat
LC500? Has a 10 speed transmission
Yes it does
I suggest the newest AUDI RS7 or AUDI S7 you can get your hands on
I’m not a fan of only having full-time all wheel drive. That’s why prefer the BMW M3M five where you could go full real wheel drive
what car now?
Good luck on your next car, but personally I wouldn’t get a bm. I had my is-f and now the RC F, v8 is a unicorn now a days… Toyota is very conservative with their hp that’s why they last forever… F’s have enough power for street and city driving…
Not enough for me sadly n tech is outdated
What type of cell phone holder is that? I need one for my GSF.
yall wearing winter jackets and its at 78 inside. omg. seattle does not approve of the interior weather. :)
Its time to get an s4
