She recently took this job, so wanted to know how she could leave after a short time without giving herself a bad name in the industry. Many industries are very tight-knit in the local area so leaving on bad terms could affect her chances at a job at similar workplaces.
They didn’t ask her exactly about the leadership makes her feel the way she does. Is it the executives who own the facility she works at or is it the clinical director or head nurse that she doesn’t like.
It is almost always the immediate supervisor or one step above them. Most workers are too far removed from executive leadership to be affected by them.
Never quit a job until you have the next one in hand. Also you never give two weeks notice an employer will never give you two weeks notice when they fire you you leave when you're ready to leave on your terms remember an employer can only verify your length of employment and your wages that you are making once you leave a job they can't say oh yeah they left me hanging because he didn't give me two weeks notice again then player would fire you today without two weeks notice why should you give them two weeks notice that's 1950s thinking

Well it's been known that working for him is horrible so not shocked he doesn't care Dave is the stereotypical old guy who struggles to change
@@Tunechi65 State your sources please. "Know" by who exactly? The people who violated the company code of conduct and were fired?
I agree. Honestly dave is giving horrible advice. If he is not listening to any kind of exit interview for improvement i can already tell you his place is one of those "positive toxic" work environments where it looks ok on the surface, but people are frightened underneath the surface.
Ignorance and arrogance are a dangerous combination
Thanks Dr Phil
SOUNDS LIKE MY JOB🤣🤣😭
Wherever you go there you are....
LOL
Plot twist: she works at Ramsey Solutions and is talking about toxic Dave.
I have been trying like crazy to leave my toxic job applying to different places and no one is giving me a call back sending resumes and CV’s 😎
Funny I got an ad about timeshares on Dave’s video 😂
Love how Dave was fairly aware his company is toxic lol
Which is odd because he says that he treats his employees how he wants to be treated. It supposedly following the golden rule in Christianity.
Everytime someone calls, from Columbus Ohio, I remember Alex P. Keaton.
?
@@Abelvilla91 famous show from late 80s early 90s 😅 along with famous actor who's name is Micheal LOL
great reply Ramsey, got it.
this is solid advice from them
I greatly appreciate this!!!!
Interesting asking Dave this, because I've heard more than a couple of reports of Ramsey Solutions being described as a toxic workplace
You can’t make everyone happy.
who was doing this description, the folks who were a bad fit?
I’ve heard that too
@@makeitpay8241 due to abuse apparently
@@thishappycrafter272 You will hear that about any large employer.
Why bother putting in a 2 week notice if they can fire you at virtually any time ?
dave ramsey doesn't like exit interviews ever since they pointed out the sexism of his office dating/baby-having policy (which was apparently pro-abortion for unmarried women)
never pro abortion - why would you say that?
He's never done exit interviews.
Dave just admitted that he doesn’t care about people’s opinion. He doesn’t do exit interviews because he doesn’t care what people say. Ouch
Most places of employment don't care tbh.
The real question is why do you care about other peoples opinion?
@@unfairsanic5089 the real question is why do you care about my opinion?
@@Jfresh55 but why
Well yeah..he is a Republican. No heart.
I’m going through this now and it’s time to go. I love the work, but the leadership is making it insufferable 😩 😂
I always say " eat a bag of s#!7, get my money"
It happens to the best of us...
Every boss has a boss, who is maybe a better person. Tell them, for future employees may be saved.
I wonder how many of us human beings are leaders with good behavior and not knowing it?
Should at least put a complaint in before you leave.
I just did it today. I have suffered 2 yrs of my @sshole smoking co-workers making me sick!
No job is worth you putting up with abuse. Prioritise you mental health and be at peace with it. If you can find another job before leaving great. If not find another job ( whatever that may be), whilst you are trying to find your preferred job.
Love it when Dave steals a narcissist's thunder
She’s not the definition of a narcissist
@@thishappycrafter272 go read a dictionary or learn how to read people.
@@joeriveracomedy I’m aware of what a narcissist is and this is not it
@@joeriveracomedy Okay, give me the times when she was acting narcissistic in this call
@@thishappycrafter272 honey, if you had the goods to be the boss at your nursing job, you would be. You wouldn't have called Dave, interrupting him and bloviating about how much better you think you are than your soon to be former superiors otherwise. Good luck at your next failed job.
People are so clueless today. Why would anyone ask such a dumb question. It's simple, find another job and put in your notice. Your overthinking it.
Some people work their whole lives and work years and decades on one company that they get emotional and get too attact to co workers.
She recently took this job, so wanted to know how she could leave after a short time without giving herself a bad name in the industry. Many industries are very tight-knit in the local area so leaving on bad terms could affect her chances at a job at similar workplaces.
I like these questions cause it exposes Dave for the type of person he really is
Hmm idk I’m weak I guess cus I hit my breaking point and called my boss out and the energy sucking environment
What an attitude. I would never ever want to work for this Ramsey guy.
How to quit a job. Walk in say I’m Rick James b$&@& slap the boss and walk out
Leave like Bill Belichick left the Jets: hand your toxic boss a crumpled napkin that says I resign.
No he just saw a better opportunity with the pats.
Dave's advice is very sound here.
What if you cant get another job though? I've tried applying for jobs and ive gotten nothing.
Bad boss can ruin a job you really enjoy.
Class Act Dave! Good advice! 👍
Yes!! Love how straightforward he is.
But sometimes you gotta send that long complaint to unnerve them!
She wants so much just to unload on these people on her way out.
Move on.. lots of other jobs out there.
Nursing especially.
Don’t leave skipping out the front door
Leave in a Limo! Throw the empty bottle of Dom Perigon in the lobby. Yell I know Dave!
I never give 2 week notice when i quit. Is that bad???
Never give 2 weeks
Never quit a job until you have the next one in hand. Also you never give two weeks notice an employer will never give you two weeks notice when they fire you you leave when you're ready to leave on your terms remember an employer can only verify your length of employment and your wages that you are making once you leave a job they can't say oh yeah they left me hanging because he didn't give me two weeks notice again then player would fire you today without two weeks notice why should you give them two weeks notice that's 1950s thinking
They're not supposed to but they do anyway meaning that they are only supposed to verify the length of employment but they also add a little extra sometimes if they don't like the fact that you're leaving.
You always give two weeks!
What makes you think an employer can only verify length of employment and wages? That might be policy at some companies but they can do whatever they want including disclosing anything about you and your performance that they want.
They can’t talk negatively about you! But they can word it in away that turn jobs away!
@@reese85 Wrong. They can't legally lie about you or they could be sued for slander. However if I employed you and fired you for cursing out a customer, for instance, I could, and would say so. Where are you guys getting these ideas?
