This was an exploit in Melee where two Luigis on the same team can stall a game by performing the infinite ladder
I did a friendly Luigi ditto and it ended with both of us off stage with no jump so we laddered. Kept it going for about 2.5 minutes reaching 450% before it ended.
I think it is unable to kill if both players keep at it, the guy who died may have missed a timing, but if they kept going, he would have won by stock lead, the guy who survived probably thought, well I lost might as well have some fun here, so when it started both commited, at least for a while it would be funny to the audience
Legend has it that Luigi is still free falling back to stage to this day

For that last clip, if you continue the ladder for long enough, the two icons will go around the sides of the screens and meet at the bottom, and then the screen will just cut to black when the “killing blow screen” appears
God that is the funniest thing I've seen. I'm not surprised because I've seen the Luigi ladder before and I know what kinda shenanigans can occur with it but, I've never seen it in a tournament like that. Holy heck that's hilarious!

0:33 Toon Link went up, Terry went down. Both players thought they were where their opponent was, hence why you heard Toon Link use his up special yet the player below didn't go up.
Okay but if toon link uses up B, he should have gone up regardless of where he "thought he was". And if toon link thought he was where terry actually was, who would use up B near the top of the screen...?
@@noahflash1309 I'm confused with what you're trying to say, but Toon Link is the one on the top of the screen so if he thought he traded to be below the stage ofc it makes sense that he'd try to up B to recover (which he did, he was just the one on the top instead)
@@noahflash1309 Toon Link did go up. If you look at the character who went up (who was indeed Toon Link), you'll notice he did use his up special and did indeed go up. Terry, on the other hand, didn't do anything and just fell to his death. In fact, if you even look at the stocks they have, if Toon Link really was the one who died off the bottom, he would have lost a stock instead of the game just ending.

So what happened was the boost kick leg was a hurt box and it got hit by the up smash which for some reason hits a little below ledge so those two combined means he got hit
Yeah, that's just MU specfiic stuff. Palu does two frame, but barely, it doesn't hit that low. What happened was ZSS stuck her leg above the stage, just enough to get clipped by Palu up smash. It's a bit of MU knowledge I use against characters that stick above ledge like the Shotos or Terry or ZSS that lets me abuse them offstage.

1:51 Toon link's forward tilt has a small hitbox from behind, it's a good tool considering how fast it comes out and it also launches your opponents farther from that part of the attack.
As a toon link main 2 years in the future, yes and its really good for covering roll against a lot of the cast, both on stage and at ledge
Although yeah the hitbox is further up so you can pancake under it

Sanctuary Guardian is the remix.
It's called "Battle Against A Dangerous Foe" and it's a very common battle theme in EBB.
@@Cinko420 nope, didn't realize that! Literally know nothing about beginnings, I've never been able to play it. I really wanted to get it on my wiiu but the battery in my gamepad actually fuckin exploded so I can't really do anything with it now
Only way I'd be able to play it is if Nintendo were to actually add that game to nes online, but that seems unlikely at this point

What the hell was that Luigi clip at the end? The Luigi's were so far up that the off-screen camera had them at opposite corners of the screen. I'm dying
If you looked at the radar, it would show that they were both still at the top of the screen. It appears that the bubble determines where the blast zone box comes from and the radar is just where the characters actually are.
That's been in every Smash game since 64

Hydrant deals a lot of shield damage on its own so, when you add in isabelle's pocket reflector, it has the ability to break shields.

Villager had 2 lives and Mario was in his last one so Mario died
Villager had 2 stocks. He died because of the forward smash but had time to side B. And side B is actually a kill move.
When it comes to kill screens, some projectiles have the property to show who launched the projectile as well as the projectile itself. I guess the Loid has this property in its early frames, and Villager was already in the blast zone. Thus, the game did its best to show Villager and Mario at the same time.
