The much awaited part two of the q and a with my husband! Hope you all enjoyed and please let me know if you have any follow up questions :) Heads up, I am not planning to have a video out next Thursday because it is Purim and I will be super busy all day with the holiday (and of course filming the day for you!). Chana you two are cute together💑. Mr. Firefly seems chill, relaxed, easy going which are nice traits. I was thinking he reminds me of someone else, then it came to me, he sort of reminds me of Italian opera singer 'Andrea Bocelli' a bit. Interesting to learn about Moroccan/Israeli culture. I've cooked different cuisines, but not yet Moroccan, trying your fish recipe.

When your husband said he looks at his kids when they are sleeping and feels joy my eyes teared up.
I like the way Mr. Firefly expresses himself. You make a fantastic home together. I never heard anyone consider the older children's feelings when talking excitement about a baby.
Same Felicia. I found it very touching and sweet of him to take into account his other children’s feelings or perceptions. Depending on a child’s age sometimes it’s difficult when a new baby arrives and the pecking order shifts of the children. No longer is the youngest the baby, etc. or the baby draws so much time and attention. It showed his deep feelings along with wisdom for his family

The other day a coworker and I were on a call and started chatting she wa telling me a plan for the weekend after shabbat and she was stunned when I knew what she was talking about since I wasn't Jewish. That is why I love your channel you provide knowledge to those of us who are not Jewish and it allowed me to have a conversation with a coworker I would have never had. We really had a great convo thank you for your channel

My guy was buying something from an independent seller online and asked me if there was a Jewish holiday called Shabbat. I already knew that it is your Sabbath. He wasn't surprised that I knew, I've always been fascinated by Jewish culture.

Me too. I work in the mortgage business. A few months ago I did a loan for a young couple who just moved back to the United States from Israel. Watching you helped me understand better some of the ways they looked at things because they had not had to do certain things in Israel. He was a full-time judaic scholar over there and had just returned to work in a secular position in the United States. Learning from you some of the culture of Orthodox Judaism helped me make the process easier for them.
A few quotes on marriage. A wedding does not make a marriage. Learning to love your spouse is priceless. Recently Greg Laurie posted this, don’t just marry the right person, be the right person. You two have done this.

As a native English speaker, I regularly come across words that I have never heard or do not know the meaning of. Mr Firefly, you speak excellent English. I wish I had the ability to speak more than one language fluently 💕
You two seem to sparkle when you're together. I love seeing your dynamic on camera. I would love a video on your eggplant dip. I remember eating it in a restaurant like 10 years ago, I have never eaten anything like it before or since.
It's delicious, as long as he makes it with tahini - not with mayonnaise, which is the Jewish Israeli style.

While most would think that he may have been afraid to say something, I get the impression he felt it would be disrespectful to talk about anything that may annoy him. Like that shouldn't be publicly spoken. Your relationship is amazing and you're both very kind to each other. I enjoy your videos and thank you for sharing your lifestyle.
I am still very impressed by Mr. Firefly’s openness. As for the food, we have pasta every Sunday as Italians. We don’t get tired of it either.💕

This was such a great series of video’s. The pregnant pause after you read the question asking do you have any traits that your husband doesn’t like, had me crying laughing. Your husband’s sense of humor and your playfulness are so enjoying to watch. I see the deep love between both of you and how you generally enjoy each other’s company. My favorite part is when you asked your husband what is the goal for the family this year, and he said “to survive.” Very funny but very wise as well. Thank you Mr. Firefly for taking the time to be part of these videos and I would love to watch any cooking videos that you can find time to do.

Mr firefly is so careful with his words and he considers what he is saying. I can see he is a very thoughtful person. That’s such a beautiful trait. He considered your older children when talking about the new baby. He considered his mom when talking about contemplating marriage. He considered you when talking about if you had annoying habits. He really is a thoughtful person and that shows through him. I really admire that. I often think the world would be so much better if we thought more about others before we spoke. I say that not because we have to change our opinions, but that it would help if we just took a minute to think of others while choosing our words. I kept noticing mr Firefly do that and I thought that showed he is a caring person. I am so happy you each found each other.💜

Your love for one another and your children shines through. I love the idea of marrying with intent to grow your love. It is something which has been somewhat lost in Western societies. There is almost a demand that "the partner shows more love". It is sad, because marriage should never be a selfish relationship. I will certainly show my daughter these videos at some stage. This really warmed my soul. I’m 38 single and want this so much. I was in the army and was attacked, held captive, beaten neck broken, jaw broken, raped, literally tortured and left for dead. I struggled wit my ptsd for so long. I felt shame, guilt, anger and I was angry with god that this happened to me. I finally accepted what happened to me and started therapy. It’s helped so much. I live in rural SE Ohio and attend a reform shul (closest orthodox 100 miles away), but I’m more orthodox at heart, so I haven’t dated. Now it’s going to be harder to marry at my age. I do want children so if I find someone divorced the6 may not want kids or more kids. I’ll just pray and maybe just say I have to move to make this happen.

Hello Chana & Mr Firefly! Great video. Made me giggle many times. Yes, yes we do want more cooking videos, Mr Firefly. I'd love to hear about adapting traditional dishes to gluten free versions. I know Chana already did one about gluten free Challah, but I was wondering about other dishes, especially the traditional cuisine from Morocco.
When you were discussing the "when did you know if was love " both of your comments were really thought provoking for me. I hadn't really given much thought to that topic, but it struck me as so common sense with a little bit of romance on the side. You knew that you had compatability and that love would grow. And when he said he looks forward to it to continue growing in years to come I sort of melted. Maybe soul mates don't just happen. Maybe they grow into that if you give them the right atmosphere. My favorite video so far. I learn something new about life and about myself with each one so thank you!

I very much enjoyed watching the two of you communicating and sharing your life and marriage with us. As a Christian wife, I take my role very seriously and out of love and respect for my husband I am submissive (yielding) when I should be. But also like you, I manage my home and the homeschooling, and as my husband works long hours and sometimes 6 days a week, he trusts my discernment.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed your latest vid with your hubby, He is such a character and has a very good sense of humour
We could identify with the things you were saying about the fact that you both come from different parts of the world as my husband is Australian and I'm Chilean we met in my country 38 years ago when I was 17 and he was 21 and doing his first big trip overseas I didn't speak English and he didn't speak spanish and yet we became friends!!
He wrote me letters for 2 years(used an english/spanish dictionary) and went back and it was then when he proposed, amazingly enough he had study spanish while in Australia and by the time he went back his spanish was perfect anyway we got married and this year will be married for 36 years G-d blessed us with two wondeful sons (two amazing daughters in law)and two precious granddaughters!!!!!
As a side note we came to live in Australia a week after the wedding I still didn't know any English by then, but
It only took me two months to learned

I had the privilege of visiting Agadir Morocco about five years ago. Your husband is so on point. The music is amazing. The people so kind and welcoming.
How funny. I was in Agadir in 1973! I was 20 years old and am now 70! I loved the food so much. My favorite was the carrots…I don’t know what the seasoning was, but it was fabulous! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Firefly for giving us a glimpse into your lovely family.

Really want to see how he makes food on the bbq with chazilim , matbucha and humous as side dishes to show how he makes those .
