  • You can learn how to Crochet a Winter Hat in this tutorial video.
    Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. I'll show you how to crochet this nice winter beanie hat pattern. It works up fast and easy and makes a nice gift for yourself as well as someone special.
    To do this hat pattern, you only need to know how to make a chain and a single crochet stitch. This hat pattern is really great for beginners. Both the brim and crown part of the hat are made simultaneously on every row. This is explained in the video.
    I'm using 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn and a size H 5 mm hook for my hat pattern. You 7might need to adjust your hook size to get the correct measurements listed in the video.

    I have never done one of your projects. But I was in the hospital when I was learning to crochet, and a nurse said to look you up. So I did she said your videos taught her to make a blanket. So I'm going to try this hat !! Thank you for your time, I know it's not as easy as it looks to have a RUclips channel and I appreciate it.

    Hi... First I want to thank you for everything you taught us! I'm a beginner and I've learned alot from you... I want to ask if can we do the same hat with 2.5mm hook?

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  Год назад

      Wonderful! Depends - 2.5mm hook is a bit smaller of a hook to use with worsted weight yarn. I personally would have trouble getting the worsted weight yarn to stay on there correctly and not split. If you use a thinner yarn for the hat to fit the 2.5 mm hook, then the hat's measurements won't be what they are in the video.

    I love this pattern. Thank you for sharing it. I have a question. I got started on it and didn't remember til I had like 5 or 6 rows to measure. You had 12 inches. I only had 10. I used #4 yarn and same hook size. I don't crochet super tight so. I don't want to start over. I will just make it this way.. anyway I would like to make more of those. My question is.. would you suggest I chain more? If yes how many? Or use bigger hook. If yes what size? Thanks 🌷

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  Год назад +1

      I generally suggest using a larger hook, as that is the simplest thing to change. Sometimes #4 yarn can vary in thickness too, so you can also try a thicker #4 yarn as well.

      It's a 100% acrylic, medium, worsted weight yarn. There's 810 yards (about 740 meters) in a skein, and the skein weighs 16 ounces (about 454 grams). I found the pompom in my local Joanns near the yarn section, which is a a USA craft place. Amzn also has them as well.

    • @naztazia

    Beginner here. How come when I chain back through the 12 back loops, I’m only counting 9 instead of 12?

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  Год назад

      The stitch markers and counting are important, especially on the first row or two. They let you know where to stop the one type of stitch and then begin the other section. I would assume you have gone too far with the crown part of the stitch, which is why there's not enough stitches left for the brim ribbing section.
