A few of my best thrift finds include: - a Not for Resale case for Zelda Twilight Princess on Wii with a copy of Zelda Skyward Sword inside - CIB copy of the original Animal Crossing on N64 in Japan for 500 yen (~$5 at the time) - big box collector’s edition of Star Blazers for PS1 for 200 yen that I got as a gift for my dad. The Book Off actually had 2 copies and I wanted to get one for myself too but didn’t have enough room in my luggage - Blade Runner 2049 movie 4K steelbook which I sold for $60 - NASCAR Racing PC game, got for 50 cents and sold for $54 - Pokémon VHS set in carrying case that I picked up for $5 and still have in my collection
Nintendo used to set up these Nintendo Switch demo kiosks at the mall over the holidays. They would bring in a few part time people to man the booths and teach people how to play the games. Not really Nintendo employees. I think that's where this shirt is from.
In Australia we call Thrift stores 'OP shops', which means opportunity shop 🙂. Anyway I love going op shopping hehe, I go multiple times a fortnight and I have found some pretty great things! My best game related finds are probably when I found an Xbox 360 bundle that had a bunch of accessories and controllers for $30 (AUD) and then the very next week, at the same store, found a PS4 Slim for $25, both of which were in perfect working condition! 😊. I haven't been as lucky as to find a Paper Mario Thousand Year Door disc in terms of games though.. however there have been some good finds here and there. WarioWare Smooth Moves CIB for $2, Red Dead Redemption CIB for $5, Halo CE and 2 for the original Xbox CIB for $2 each have been the best ones I have found. Most of the games that these stores get though are Wii Sports, Wii Fit and mostly just sports games, every now and then you will find something different but it hasn't happened to me in a while. Games aren't the only thing that I look out for at op shops as well, most of my wardrobe comes from op shops and I have found so many designer label dresses, skirts, tops etc that sometimes even have the tag still on them, for sooo much less than buying them first hand! sometimes I even find really amazing furniture too! ❤
Some of my best finds are; A bag of Genesis games for $5 that included a Gunstar Heroes cart. Lolo 3 (NES) and Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel (SNES) for a total of $40. CIB Astal for Sega Saturn for $35. Megaman X2 for $18 because they put it in their system as Megaman X.

Love a Goodwill find. I haven't found any cool games just yet but ties for work and other things pop up there pretty often where I live

My mom found in our local trift store here in Sweden Hogwarts Legacy unopen for the PS5 for 5$.
