You gotta play Rebirth! It's my game of the year, possibly my favorite game ever! I also played FF16 this year, and I loved it as well, even though it was a bit too depressing. I haven't played Astro Bot or Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth yet, but they are definitely on my list. And I'm sure Metaphor is a great game, but the art style isn't for me.

The pal version of Okami HD has always been dirt cheap also. Like under $20 all day long 😂

Persona 3 Reload is my game of the year as it’s a fantastic remake of my favorite game of all time however I’m inclined to say Emio the Smiling Man is number 2. The game REALLY stuck with me. It’s a must play, especially considering you can beat it in like 11-13 hours. I have yet to play Metaphor Refantazio but I plan on starting it early in the new year.

You do the same thing I do bruh lol. I buy all these games and rarely finish 1 unless it’s just incredible which unicorn overlord was. Don’t sleep on shadows of the damned remastered.

I recently took a cheap game boy game to GameStop just to see what their employees knew about retro. The employee looked at it for 30 seconds and then asked me “ is this a Nintendo 64 game?”

You can complain about GameStop but you can return every single game. Don’t like it? Return it, they have the best return policy on games

Vanillaware is one of the greats. I had been anticipating unicorn overlord since the first teaser trailer, after playing 13 sentinels.

Loving astrobot right now! Definitely my GOTY even though I haven't finished it yet.

I don’t necessarily have a top 10 games myself (I’ve barely played 2024 releases lol) but I know that both Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor Refantazio are in my top 5, and I’m waiting for my Black Myth Wukong and Astro Bot copies to get here. Also started playing Zelda Skyward Sword a couple of days ago and ngl the game is actually really good, better than Totk imo

Another Code Recollection is the biggest surprise for me, its also in my top 10. Currently playing through Emio and liking it a lot as well. Astro Bot probably my GOTY followed by Silent Hill 2.

I loved Astro bot, persona 3 reload, dragon quest 3 hd 2d remake, and paper mario remake, im currently playing through dragon quest 11 right now

I have seen some very good replicas, such as the bag I bought at kislux . The craftsmanship of modern replicas is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and they are within millimeters of each other. It is difficult to tell which ones are fake.

I made a TikTok on my last GameStop experience with ordering used games. End up paying CIB prices for loose games.

GameStop’s not a bad place to shop, when you know what you’re doing. Only buy pre-owned games in store (or be prepared to return them) Newer pre-own games are safer to buy online (usually come complete). Pre-order new games. If GS employee hands you an open “new” game, never let them use a sticker seal, if they insist, decline the game and walk away.

Used to wait all year for one or two games on birthdays or Christmas. Rented almost every weekend in 80/90s as kid/teenager... I'm just trying to figure out how all these people on RUclips have collections of games from my time period of being born all the way up to the new generations but it's not like they have a couple games either it's like their whole house or bedrooms are fully stocked like a blockbuster or GameStop.. i mean really what TF..

In store only when it comes to used games at GameStop. Someone pulled these games from their store and screwed up the no more hero’s for sure.

It completely defeats the purpose if you just return everything that’s “not up to snuff”. Do you buy games to play them or display them? And “both” isn’t an answer. One has to trump the other.

I don’t give a rats ass what kind of case my games come in. If you’re the type of person who orders from Gamestop and returns games because they are missing manuals, I pity you. You need to get some other things that mean something in your life.

Honestly, if buying pre owned from Game Stop, it'll be best if you go in store. You can see the case and its contents, and you won't be playing a game of randomness of condition for games.

I only preorder certain new games so i can pick it up. When steller blade came out i forgot to preorder it had to go to several stores before i got it,was not fun, but i would never buy a older games and have it shipped, from gamestop most people dont get the covers for them, i will go their first to make sure cover and case are in good shape, will not buy a game without cover art. I know there use to be a web site years back where you could down load game covers. But dont know if they still have them

Man I have a GameStop Black Friday haul video and literally all my used games came in brand new cases except for the one game I bought in store on purpose. Besides that everything else came fine. And all my GameStop games were delivered by USPS and put in.my mailbox and they were in an unbranded vanilla sleeve.

I don't even bother returning when I get a generic case I usually just buy the case off ebay for like a couple bucks and be done with it.

So those brown boxes with the logo are supposed to be for systems, not games. Even if you had ordered a system, stores are supposed to have blank boxes to ship online orders out in, & games SHOULD NOT be in those boxes.

As someone who used to work for GameStop for many years, yes, it's entirely possible someone traded in that No More Heroes just like that.

GameStop should either have an option to buy with the case (even for a slightly higher price), or have a marketplace where people can sell stuff on there like eBay.

These are rough, but it’s crazy how their “new” games also arrive in similar condition.

I was overworked and hated my job too, but I never did my job nearly as poorly as fedex and usps do...and they make quite a bit more than I made, albeit inflation is pretty nuts rn so even making good money with the post office is probably still not enough now

Yeah, after I bought Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition for PS5 when it was new from their website, GS shipped me a copy that was 100% pulled off a shelf from some store (not new, not original shrink wrap, just guts put back in, even had the price sticker on it), but they had no problem charging me a new price tag for it. I ended up returning it and getting a real new copy from Amazon (honestly, the only reason I ordered from GS was they were the only one who had it listed at the time).

Anymore I try my darndest to avoid going into Gamestop. We have another chain store in my area called Vintage Stock that I go to more often that seems to be decent with their quality.

Will at least u got ur order .game stop online told me to wait at least 30 days.its been 3 week and still nothing .I did a on my bank.still haven't gotten my good or a refund be careful of GameStop online it's a scam.after the 3 week they said they send it to a wrong address that my address didn't match with my account.am never buying from GameStop online am fu..ed 98 dollars

One thing I appreciate about gamestop is the stores are really chill about returning online orders. Too bad the 2 stores in my city are now closed.
