Everything depends on whether games will get rereleases (and it seems like it's becoming more of a standard for games to get releases/remasters/remakes for each new generation), which is unpredictable. But my gut feeling is that a lot of indie games that managed to get normal physical releases will become sought after, and they are getting largely ignored in terms of collectibility in favour of more obvious things like JRPGs and limited print releases. I'm talking about games like Outer Wilds, Genesis Noir, Time on Frog Island, Ooblets, Lemon Cake etc. These are mostly games that are extremely affordable now, which means it's more feasible to snap them up, more reasonable to buy extra copies to sell later, and most importantly, they are the games you will really be kicking yourself over if they do skyrocket and you didn't buy them when they were £15 new and sealed lol.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo first party games have like 0000 for first print or 0001 for reprint on back of case on barcode.

hey i wanted to ask about something, i started to collect switch physical games and i heard that the shortest estimation of cartridge lifespan is like 10 years to 20, what is your opinion? will my collection of 1 party games just die one day sitting in a nice dry cabinet? you collect yourself so im wondering if you have any plans in case of worst case scenarios?

Good review. I will disagree on the quest marker though. Imo, totally not needed. As long as you talk to everyone in towns/in the over world, they will literally tell you where you should go and some even warn you of places not to go until you think your ready. Quest markers take away part of the soul of classic games. I do appreciate them in newer games just for the fact that games are 10x larger in their open worldness than they used to be.

I have been recently playing a lot Warrriors Orochi 4. Roster ovwr 100 characters and I have play just a few. Its more like how the weapon feels than the character sometimes.

Park Patrol isn't bad but its doesn't hold a candle to the original. When they released PP they made it a walmart exclusive for some reason (They claimed it was because of the environmental messaging of the game aligned with walmart's values. Which sure was a statement to make.), which is why it's so rare and pricey. The only reason it hasn't reached the same price heights of the gamecube game is that it just isn't that great in comparison. I do love how you seem to be playing the in reverse release order though. I would suggest emulating the original to decide if its the kind of game you want to invest that much money into, it really isn't for everyone, especially at these prices.

I might actually grab this one on series x if the complete game is on disc

Did they tone down the difficulty? In the demo even on easy the difficulty felt artificially spiked to appeal to souls gamers. The Entire fun out of the dynasty warriors games is that feeling of being an Unstoppable force.

I like the fact they take longer to manufacture a game, it means the latest patch updates are probably on the cart/disc for game preservation.

Okay so did you play Star Fox Assault with the tank controls or the duel stick controls? Its annoying that they didn't give you the option in GUEST and only in USER. But its still my favorite in the series with Star Fox 2 just behind it.

The Ys box urks me not only because of the missing title but also because the flap on the bottom is so stiff it doesnt stay flush and you cant stand it up horizontally either 😅😅 Great pickups dude!

Star Fox Adventures is decent but yeah it's really a Zelda game that happens to have the Star Fox characters. I never actually finished it because there's an infamous segment about halfway through that requires button mashing and I could never do it fast enough to complete it so eventually gave up.

Layton: Katrielle is a tough hang after the high standard of the other games. Azran Leagacy does help elevate the other prequel trilogy games and is a really fun game in its own right. If you want to play an extra game after the prequel trilogy I’d very strongly recommend the Layton/Ace Attorney game on 3DS.
