I have been watching you and other resellers for a good while now. I just wanted to say I appreciate that you have kept your channel primarily reselling. Other channels spend too much time promoting their stores, house remodeling/flipping, or whatever they are getting into. I like that you just go out looking for deals and show us what you find without all the extra nonsense.
Thanks for that! I actually do want to add some more fun videos just because I have been doing so much of just the same old thrifting content for so long. It will probably always be the main video type on the channel but I do have some cool ideas that I want to try. Recording the same things for years puts a number on me lol!
I try to look for the channels that primarily look for deals. Some channels may resort to a brick and mortar store and soon advertise their whatnot pages every week and it gets annoying as such.
I'm jealous. Our Goodwill sells coffee mugs for $4.99. Those bags of miscellaneous toys would be probably $6 or $7. Plus I see so many high end games that you pass, drives me nuts.
@douglas2539 Yes, goodwill has gone up a lot. About 3 years ago we had a tornado and fema came and brought a lot of nice stuff and had a lot left over, so they gave it to goodwill to keep handing it out if anyone needed anything later..Goodwill sold it all at really high prices..I still go there, but it really bothered me that they did that.
Goodwill is generally overpriced stuff that has been picked thru (often by employees before placing it out on the floor). Many Goodwill's sell what they think will sell for higher online. They're basically the McThrift of thrift stores...one pretty much looks like the other. And sorry, $7.00 for a used, 15 year old shirt, or $5 for old t-shirts with stains or holes is a shameless money grab.
The better items I’m Goodwill end up in the glass cabinet at extortionate prices. The thrifting experience will be ruined just like in Australia when I go to Brotherhood of St Laurence as they pick through their clothing and put the best clothing on the “Something Special” section and sell them at eBay prices or sometimes either slightly lower or definitely higher.
That Venom shirt and bag of arrowheads did it for me!! I love finding stuff like that! Arrowheads I would keep for myself. I love rocks, and I love arrowheads!
Same here in Spokane. This city has a large brick building where they specifically pull all the good stuff and sell online, leaving almost either almost all junk for the floor or bulky items they didn't want to ship. And, this dude's goodwill has 10x the amount of games and toys as the local goodwill. Maybe literally 5x, but looks more like 10x.
FYI... The Disney VHS tapes are actually worth quite a bit if the video and case are in good condition.. If you can find a VHS with the original artwork... well just know they are worth even more.
The dinosaur with the neck issue might still have been worth it if you planned to lot them up or a quick individual sale as they would primarily be going to collectors whom display or just collect and might not have minded the issue. Still understandable putting it back.
I would definitely buy them monopoly. They’re pretty easy to find but unfortunately not with all the pieces, but I would still buy the box that is ripped and then find another cover on one of those other boxes that don’t have all the pieces.
I ship most games into Amazon FBA so multiple games fit in 1 large box to go to Amazons warehouse. For ebay, I just use random boxes I have saved. I should buy some good board game sized boxes though
Trying to learn about being a reseller, would keeping a pocket of two or 3 AA, AAA batteries be worth while shopping, to test out stuff on the spot? Thank you for this very informative video. Happy Hunting.
I have someone who reached out to me via Instagram and wants to buy them all. I have the bag somewhere in a box and cant find it right now lol, but they are basically sold. Not sure on price yet, but, ill try to update when I complete the sale.
I wonder if looking up items online while youʻre there in the store isnʻt telling the Goodwill that they can raise their prices? I wonder if being a bit more discreet will keep the prices lower? Thanks for your videos!
Hi how are ya .I started watching you on you tube and your awsome to watch and learn from .just a question if not rude lol you seem comfortable recording your shopping .but are you worried if people know your buying and then selling ? I've boughten things and sold but like to keep in secret lol .thank you for your videos. Keep up the awsome fun
You seem to do very well at board game finds and sells. I tried to sell a few board games on my ebay but seem to not be my niche. I've uploaded them and they sit for months and months with no interest. maybe im finding the wrong type of games.
I sell the majority of my board games on Amazon since you can get a bit more money there. I Still sell some on ebay, but they have to be specialty games.
I get pretty self conscious, so I'm just curious if goodwill employees ever say anything about you taking pics of/scanning items into ebay to see if they're worth buying? I guess they can't tell you that you're not allowed to, they probably just care about you buying it and wanting you to so they make money>
Amazon is more inflated but after service fees are a pain. eBay doesn’t sell for as much but sells for more than local sale but is cheap with shipping and shouldn’t take too much for commission. If you’re an Amazon prime seller, Amazon might be worth it. If you’re doing a lot, definitely do eBay because it would sell all at once.
I got most of them. I only left a couple behind. Luckily, someone reached out to me on Instagram and wants to buy them all, so they are as good as sold.
Dude you can make 20 to 30x on that 6$ monopoly board game from the 60s.... You can literally part some of those old board games out & make a lot more than just as a full game..... It's a little more work, but well worth it!
I was standing on the corner sellin rap CDs when I met a little girl named Jan...I let her ride in my caddy cuz I didn't know her daddy was the leader of.... Name that rap tune
At my local place, most CD's are usually gospel, self-help, or MOR pop (Celine Dion), plus an occasional Train or Coldplay. I rarely if ever find rap, new wave, punk or much of anything worth listening to or reselling. I'm not sure if they place CD's on the floor with explicit lyric tags on the cover. CD's ($1) & DVD's($1-2) however are some of the few things in Goodwill that aren't overpriced.

If I was buying I wouldn't care about a little bit of box damage, it's more important to me the pieces and gameboard are nice and complete.
I’m saying. Screw the box
@@trilliamc5185 You could always part it out and it could work out even better
I'm jealous. Our Goodwill sells coffee mugs for $4.99. Those bags of miscellaneous toys would be probably $6 or $7. Plus I see so many high end games that you pass, drives me nuts.
What state is that?
@douglas2539 Yes, goodwill has gone up a lot. Mom & dad bought me that 1975 Monopoly game when I was 8. I still play it!!

Our goodwill moved to a bigger place. At grand opening a dozen items were behind the counter. They said they were sold. No doubt to workers.
That Venom shirt and bag of arrowheads did it for me!! I love finding stuff like that! Arrowheads I would keep for myself. I love rocks, and I love arrowheads!
Definitely more important to have all the pieces!! The box is sooo close to perfect, i dont think its enough to negate it
In my hometown I love it. Great content and tips! Thank you!
I love that the first Jurassic Park Ankylosaurus dinosaur you showed comps on featured my listing for $17.50 lol.
Nice! Did it sell?
@ThriftSchool Not yet, it's only been listed for a little bit over a month but the condition could be better. But it has some watchers.
Toy dinosaurs Have FLOODED the resale market this summer. Literally every thrift store has endless supply
Always appreciate another upload! ❤️
Thanks man!
Your thrifts look packed, dude. In rural NC everything is stripped before it can reach the floor.
Just because one thrift store is packed doesn’t mean the items are good. Many of the items could either be overpriced or otherwise be junk
Same here in Spokane. This city has a large brick building where they specifically pull all the good stuff and sell online, leaving almost either almost all junk for the floor or bulky items they didn't want to ship. My local goodwill has been pretty baren honestly. I have to drive out across the state to find thrifts like this that are more packed.
FYI... The Disney VHS tapes are actually worth quite a bit if the video and case are in good condition.. If you can find a VHS with the original artwork... well just know they are worth even more.
The bird is a Minnie's Bow shop character. Cuckoo Loca.
thanks for the tip. If I find her again, hopefully I remember.
That goodwill is a gold mine for me. Profited about 7 grand last year just from that store alone. Its not as loaded as it used to be,still pretty good.
I used to have those ‘Definitely Dinosaurs’ when I was little.
Nice to find someone with a similar thrift style!
The dinosaur with the neck issue might still have been worth it if you planned to lot them up or a quick individual sale as they would primarily be going to collectors whom display or just collect and might not have minded the issue.
Still understandable putting it back.
Yeah, it could be a throw in item which can make the lot sell quicker because of a bonus dinosaur
Did you check out the Catan Cities and Knights board game? Saw that immediately and got jealous.
I did. The were mostly empty sadly
That caught my eye too! I saw a few games that I would have checked out for myself.
Big lots is currently having a dvd sale. Picked up inception sealed for only 12 cents
I had the proto triceratops and the red anglesaurus some of my favorite toys that last all my childhood
I love finding toys I grew up playing with
I was down at the goodwill bins in Hamden this past weekend for the first time I bought all the wrong stuff lol
I would definitely buy them monopoly. They’re pretty easy to find but unfortunately not with all the pieces, but I would still buy the box that is ripped and then find another cover on one of those other boxes that don’t have all the pieces.
Thanks for another great video.. I love seeing your content. It always inspire me. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them :)
What type of boxes does this guy use to ship board games? I have a large scrabble game I want to ship but can't find a box that fits even remotely.
Usps 1095 or 1097 work well for them. Usually have to put 2 together.
I ship most games into Amazon FBA so multiple games fit in 1 large box to go to Amazons warehouse. For ebay, I just use random boxes I have saved. I should buy some good board game sized boxes though
I WANT THE DOCTOR WHO.
I dont pay more than $2 for dvds unless i really want it.
i saw almost the exact same spyro painting at a thrift store in australia
I just found a box out of Jurassic park dinosaurs with about 20+ for $9 at the thrift craziest find yet I recently sold bundle deal of 5 for $85
Funny thing, i also found a sealed monopoly set but from 1985, only paid $3.49 from the salvation army
Yeah $6 for a worse condition one wouldn’t have been worth it compared to your Monopoly set
Good to see your channel again! I lost track
Glad youre back! I have a few more new ones I posted after this one
Should’ve checked out that Catan board game, some of those are high dollar sells.
Great picks, my Goodwill sells all kids toys, games and puzzles for $1.49 so I usually find some good stuff to flip, great channel, subbed and liked.
I would have bought all of the dinosaurs and sold the damaged ones for parts. I sell a ton of broken toys for parts.
That 1987 dinosaur toy i used to have it and i loved it
Little box damage on something old isn’t bad. The inside is what counts more.
Trying to learn about being a reseller, would keeping a pocket of two or 3 AA, AAA batteries be worth while shopping, to test out stuff on the spot?
Thank you for this very informative video.
Happy Hunting.
I love Playskool dinosaurs so much.
Missed out on that little silver Transformer.
VHS LOL :D my favorite section also at the thrift stores!!!
I love the VHS section, so fun to hunt for older stuff I grew up with
Venom all over graphic tee was cool
Super cool. Shame it wasnt worth too much
Both of my local Goodwill's toy section are almost none existence. I have a feeling that anything decent goes online,
The second dinosaur was a valuable on from the 80s
grab the monopoly for 2.99 im sure you would find another box in the wild you could move all the game pieces too
That's my Goodwill! I find lots of good stuff there!
Nice! I liked it there a lot
Please make sure you gives us updates on dinosaurs
I have someone who reached out to me via Instagram and wants to buy them all. I have the bag somewhere in a box and cant find it right now lol, but they are basically sold. Not sure on price yet, but, ill try to update when I complete the sale.
I would take the wrestlers 13:07 John Cena and also take the toy soldiers, Risk is also a great purchase!
The bird is named Cuckoo Loca and the cat is Figaro. They are from the Minnie Mouse cartoon.
Gucciwill guys !!
@ThriftSchool just wondering if U still have that 1975 new inside Monopoly Game?
I would have definitely purchased that monopoly game.
Those are defently dinossaurs there awesome
You should have bought that spinosaurus and give me all those old school toys
I have that monopoly haha! Good finds dude
I wonder if looking up items online while youʻre there in the store isnʻt telling the Goodwill that they can raise their prices? I wonder if being a bit more discreet will keep the prices lower? Thanks for your videos!
Lol resellers come in each day at the goodwill i used to work at. goodwill already moved to selling most big ticket items on their website.
that dog canvas :D
I take incomplete games up to the counter and say they are not complete and they sell them to me for a dollar I use them to complete other games I buy
Nice! Luckily most games around me are between 1-3 dollars so I dont worry much. But for the games that are $5 and up thats a great idea.
Little thrift store by me checks them and saves incompletes to fill others.
Grab the conflict game its pre risk

I wouldn't of left that one dinosaur behind. Would of been worth it and added value to the lot.
Yeah, just make it a throw in and the lot could sell quicker
Great finds 😊
Thank you!!!

what app do you use to figure out how much you'd make?
Curious.... What was your net take away after everything for 2023?
I dont have the complete numbers for that yet
Thanks for the video
awesome video 😊
Lol the one goodwill where i live does not have goody bags.
I don’t think ThriftSchool’s local goodwill does goody bags either but he managed to travel to this gucciwill to find goody bags
Yeah my local one doesnt have goodie bags, most that I go to actually dont. I love when Goodwills have the.
Omg that monopoly game i would of grabbed for myself !!! it was brand new and one of the originals that's crazy!!!
I thought the originals were way back in the 1930s
"Alright guys..." lol.
omg there so many vinyls :D
I have been selling a ton of dinosaurs lately.
What is the app you used to check the comps on the movies, dvd’s???
Amazon seller app
What app do you use to check Amazon profit?
Awesome video
Wow, DVDS and CDs for 1.99 and 2.99? My small town thrift store has them at 0.25$ per.
I would love prices like that
I had a chance to get a lcd connect four game and i passed it up like a dummy.
When is the Ankylosaurus going to be up on eBay? I want it. (I'm also local lol)
message me on Instagram @thriftschool. I can hook you up
I did a few days ago :)@@ThriftSchool
Is the monopoly game from 1975 or 1998? Make up your mind.
I can 3D print you any peices that are missing
Monopoly Box damage is totally overdrawn by posting a picture that the parts are still sealed. Everybody wants something old that’s new.
Have you tried selling on whatnot? Great video man keep up the good work
I havent. I do have a whatnot account, but I have no followers on there so it would be hard ti get any sales
@@ThriftSchool totally understand what's your account name
Better to sell used video games on Amazon or Ebay?

not getting all the dinosaurs and making one giant lot is silly.
I got most of them. I only left a couple behind. Luckily, someone reached out to me on Instagram and wants to buy them all, so they are as good as sold.
show the barbie camper
Hello! :D
If you ever see matchbox let me k ow I will buy
yes,, please those sealed plastic bags way to rare,,
Hey thrift school, how much does it cost a month to sell on Amazon… I’m strictly eBay but looking to branch out
I think its $39.99 for a pro membership. You technically can sell for free but you have to pay $1 per sale. It makes sense to just pay the $40 a month
Any Reborn boy doll opened eyed

ya ur taken from people that donate that and sell th for even more cash its crazzy
Just make sure you lock your car doors at that goodwill
Lol, I did
Is that place full of crime?
i dont buy things to sell them i use them
any rap cds there
I was standing on the corner sellin rap CDs when I met a little girl named Jan...I let her ride in my caddy cuz I didn't know her daddy was the leader of....
Name that rap tune
@@just_nate_8694 I don't listen to afro man
Im sure there was. I didnt look super hard for them though. Ill keep an eye out.

aren't you afraid of people taking the stuff right off the shelf while you're looking at it? i would be putting it in the cart and sorting it out
Lol, it hasnt happened yet. It would be very awkward if someone reached in front of my face to grab what im filming.
