Omgggg wanting a masculine guy with gay energy, that's exactly it! Those are the words I was looking for. It's why I go for guys that are also bi more often. A guy who is pretty masc but has a not-so-straight edge is just my type, I think bc I am very femme with a not-so-straight edge.
As far as Mark's "gay voice" goes, I'm not hearing it, you sound like a human, I can't really relate to the internalised homophobia, I grew up with a culture of out, confident gay people mostly so in finding my queer identity I wasn't ashamed or afraid of it. I think too as a kid I didn't categorize my sexuality, I try to now in terms of making sense of it, but 'queer' is fine haha. I hope you find peace with your sexuality, and your smile is gorgeous! You can be a unique person, not fitting into expected groups or categories, and still find whatever it is you're looking for.
This was an awesome conversation. I love how each gay individuals experience is totally different but have so much core commonalities that pretty much any of us get it right away but nongays can sympathize but can never really understand it.
Thank you, Brittany and Mark, for giving us a window into having this conversation, that I would say it's safe to assume most folks in our generation don't open themselves to participate in.
Honestly too many good things to comment on. I'm not caught up, so if you have sorry, but I'd really love for you to go into not dating women atm. I'm dealing with being in a gay relationship and it's so stressful, so hearing another bisexual to just say "yeah its way more difficult and I want things easier" was kind of relieving.

Mark and Brittany seem like complete opposites, and I’m that way with my siblings as well! And I’ve always perceived Brittany as a city gal, but was genuinely surprised when she told us she wasn’t. I’m definitely a city person, and want to learn how to become a country girl!
I'd completely agree classy sexual is just better! My parents had a Statue called "The Kiss". It was basically a Naked Woman sitting on a Naked man's lap embraced in a kiss. I Always loved tgat Statue. I knew the People were supposed to be naked based on the Sculpture. But even though as a kid I giggled tgey were naked, I also just saw it as Pretty. Of course I see it as Beautiful now.

& yes the "Gaydar" I think I have a good read on some Gay men. I wouldn't even say most. There are so many labels now!
Sometimes it can be instant. Other times I'd need to know them a bit more.
Women I'd say I'd have to get to know unless they are very outwardly Lesbian.
Women can be tricky too, because more Women are comfortable wearing Mens clothing for everyday attire.

Everyone is made up of Yin & Yang ie Fem and Masc energy. one isn’t better than the other though our society values Masculinity more. I think everyone should know their own unique balance of Yin and Yang, Mine is probably 70% yin and 30% Yang.
